I do not live by that principle. No need eulogizing hypocrites who started well but ended badly. Let us speak whether men are living or death. It should not be any different.

RIP to the dead. But it saddens me, sometimes when I settle to think, to note that some of Chukwumerije's constituents do not have electricity. Then it makes me to wonder if he had been representing only his hometown. It's really sad.
But, it's worthy of note that this man has been active in Government since his 20s. He was indeed a great man.
He was representing only his pocket and ego.

abia state...that state needs to get its affairs together. ..everything I pass through that state en route uyo or enugu...its a real eye sore..
Rare gem and he was silent while Ochendo r.aped Abia state blind?
As long as his senatorial position was intact he was not bothered. See no evil hear no evil.
The entire political elite in Abia state are accomplices in Abia's demise.

Only a fool will refer to the suggestion in the topic as being silly.....there's no sincerity in the prosecution and incarceration of the ex-governor other than a dark sinister motive and evil agenda by names am not going to mention to satisfy their own evil interest and again, only a fool would believe that what have befallen the ex-governor is for the interest of Nigeria....And that makes you a very big fool.
I may be wrong. Please correct me if wrong, was he prosecuted and Jailed by the Nigerian government?

PoliticsRe: Senator Chukwumerije is Dead? by mbulela: 9:45am On Apr 20, 2015
Fighting for the creation of an extra state for your region is not a measure of a man's intellectual prowess. Idiots have been using that agenda to further their ethnic jingostic agendas since 1960. Fighting for an extra state for igbos on the floor of the Senate should not be a reason to poor ecomium on anyone.
By the way, state creation is not our biggest need as a people.
It is used to extend the baked cake eaten by the politicians with no direct proportional benefit in terms of development to the masses.
PoliticsRe: Senator Chukwumerije is Dead? by mbulela: 9:37am On Apr 20, 2015
^^^^
Your defence is unacceptable. That he was a union leader in the 60s does not negate his docility and complicity in later years while his state was being r.aped. Besides I have not even scratched his infamous role in Abacha government.
You sound funny whem you claim he was more involved in fundamental issues while his house was on fire. Which constitutional altering bills did he initiate in the last eight years while Abia was being violated by Ochendo and his son?
Latching onto his glorious past while forgetting his compromising end is dubious at best.
It is like reminding us about the union days of Labaran Maku and ignoring his sycophantic recent days.

My dear, forget all those socialist thinking and philosophical posturing. In recent years the man was no different from the barbarians who have taken over the market square having being emboldened to move from the street corner.
You can not be a senator for 12 years with no tangible benefit to the masses therein ( I am not talking of lousy Borehole projects and scam scholarship schemes) and be parroting social thinking and philosophical jargon, then expect to earn eulogies that depict the generality of people as suffering from amnesia.
He might have had very good intentions but I am not spiritually atuned enough to read the heart of men. We shall judge him by what we see and in totality.

DonDiego:
Your opinion. For me, he was a collosus. The name Chukwumerije is both nationally and internationally famous mainly because of him. In the annals of Nigerian socialist/liberal movement Chujwumerije remains a significant factor. Tak
The way adjectives are thrown around amuse me.
Colossus of what?
Being famous is not equivalent to aiding development.
I have asked for his specific contributions to his senatorial district in the last 12 years he was occupying the Senate and feeding fat off the Commonwealth in the form of the immorality huge pay of our assembly members.
Secondly, why was he as silent as a grave yard while Ochendo Turned Abia to a private enterprise?
Socialist and liberal movement indeed!!
We need to stop rewriting the history of our leaders at death all in the name of saying no evil against the dead.
I am not asking for anyone to denigrate the memory of the man, all I ask for are answers to my salient questions.

What else so you expect the public to say?
Good luck?
Serves you right?
Or Laugh out loud?

If they don't have a clue on how to find her, there's they can do is appeal to a higher power of their belief who they believe intervenes in situations that seem hapless. Your opinion on that higher power is irrelevant unless you are the parent in question.

Enough of this crap, as much as the death of any one man diminishes me, enough of this unearned eulogy we roll out when anyone dies. The man was exaggerated like the rest. Where was he when Ochendo was turning Abia into his private property?
He and Abaribe the opportunist stayed in Abuja playing see no evil and hear no evil. As long as his senatorial seat was assured, he was not bothered. He only attempted to revolt when Ochendo's greed affected his personal ambition of returning to the Senate for the fourth time.
His death is a loss like the loss of any Other nigerian that died today, nothing more.
As said earlier, my thoughts and prayers are with his family in this distressing time.

I'm sorry, but Muslims are not allowed to RIP a non-Muslim. You can however pray for the family of the deceased. Even the Prophet (PBUH) was not allowed to pray for Mercy for his non-Muslim Uncle, despite how good he had been to him.

Please, take note. Cheers.
So you now want to prescribe what wishes she is allowed to bestow on the dead? Isn't that her prerogative?
I am a Christian but do not wish anybody RIP. It is a personal conviction of mine.
Same way I think you have no right to prescribe to her what to wish any dead.

it is well..
His points are wrapped in excess bitterness that makes it difficult to take him serious.
Was it not the same population when jega conducted the election in 2011 and GEJ won?
I am convinced that the votes in kano, jigawa, Rivers, imo,Abia and enugu were all inflated. Why is Aribisala stuck on kano and jigawa?
You can see that he has a point but his point is coated in deception and denial.
PoliticsRe: Why I’m Not Proud To Call Buhari My President — Aribisala by mbulela: 3:19pm On Apr 19, 2015
Now I see the pic, I remember this man. He used to have a column in 234Next where he used to spew so much hater and vitriol in the name of a Christian column designed to denounce Pauline epistles. I always used to wonder how a supposed Christian could spew so much venom.
Now his uncontrolled and illogical rage against Buhari is beginning to make sense. The man has excess bitterness in his make up and it envelopes the little sense he often makes.
He is best ignored.

I am not Buhari's biggest fan but in no way is he worthy of this attack. Nigerians votes out Jonathan because he had become a symbol of business -as-usual which the they had gotten tired and sick of. A vote for Buhari was a vote for change from the status quo. It is up to him to prove it or he too will be consumed next.
The man needs to let go of this pvc argument. Collection might have been higher in the north but there is no proof that jega did anything untoward. If I was Jega, after my tenure, I will have enough time to sue all these clowns who think that slandering the man is a national past time.

In an ideal world, I would have voted for the KOWA lady. Her philosophical and intellectual view to leadership and very detailed manifesto is the kind of thing that excites me and I am a believer in her.
CelebritiesRe: Seun Kuti: “jonathan Knelt For Prayer• David Cameron Stood • Is Adeboye Racist?” by mbulela: 11:08am On Apr 19, 2015
hamilton62:
Pastor Adeboye isn't a racist... He is the vessel through which the power of God in prayers given was made but it depends on the seeker or receiver; how much value and respect he has for our supreme-sovereign-invisible God.
Jonathan is a Nigerian and remember, we are more religious and respectful more than the british or westerners, Cameron is a british so all he believes is in the prayers alone and doesn't understand what obedience means to a supreme-supernatural monarch called God... It's different understanding about the being (God) that answers prayers between the both.
With all due respect, this is a daft opinion.

CelebritiesRe: Seun Kuti: “jonathan Knelt For Prayer• David Cameron Stood • Is Adeboye Racist?” by mbulela: 10:14am On Apr 19, 2015
The fact that you are Fela's son is no guarantee that you will be intelligent. SEUN often exposes his stupidity and is ignorant of his lack of intelligence on most issues he comments on. It is not compulsory to talk.

Who told him that Adeboye asked GEJ to kneel?
It is GEJ's prerogative and chose to score cheap points by kneeling and acting humble. G.O. simply said, let us pray. He never said kneel down and let us pray. So where is SEUN getting his racism hints from?
Dude is daft and talks too much.

If only had expended the same vigour he used in fighting the traitor GEJ and his loquacious and uncouth wife PEJ to work in his 2nd tenure the way he worked in the first and if he spent the last 16 years he had been in the power (as a speaker and governor) in building a political machinery that was in touch with the grassroots, Rivers state will not be on this 'long thing' now.

Don't mind them. Wike sold that lie to a simple political class of rivers and in their simplicity and ethnic biased mind they bought it hook line and sinker. They could not ask themselves how if Amaechi was the traitor and GEJ was the saviour, why the East West road was as it is?

The Supreme Court is not a restaurant where you order meals. To get there you need purpose, drive, backing and loads of cash. Wike helped provide that. And the judges read papers, hear news and weigh cases so don't state it as if supreme court judges are wandering around like vendors looking for the aggrieved to administer justice to. Anyway hope you know your man has thrashed the judiciary in Rivers state. If he doesn't gain favour in Abuja we will know why. He is such a poor politician.
Wike played a part in that victory but you guys need to stop rewriting history as if he was the Tinubu of Mimoko in that matter.
There were others who played a part in it. It was a team game.
PoliticsRe: Nyesom Wike Releases Manifesto And Pledges To Keep To Every One Of His Campaign by mbulela: 3:54am On Apr 19, 2015
Forget tribunal, Wike won that election. They just amplified the rigging in order to shame Amaechi and show his political ineptitude in local politics.
Talking of Wike, Rivers people are on a trip to nowhere. These catch phrases are no manifesto but generalized phrases thrown up by a few media savvy hangers on of his. I doubt Wike even knows the import of those phrases and I also wonder how a few sentences passes for a manifesto?
I took time to visit the website and it is completely empty barring the landing page.
Compare this to the detailed website that JK had, the campaign handbook that El-Rufai shared during campaigns or even the detailed plans that Nuhu expounded on during his campaigns and you see that Rivers people have entered a one-chance bus.
However, I am sure the looting manifesto has been updated regularly and oiled to perfection.
The next four years will be serious drama in that place unfortunately it seems the violence that it will be laced with is no fun.

Whynotthetruth:
Did you notice that Rochas since joining APC seldom attend South-East governors meetinghuh

If he's action is right, why is he running away from others if not for his selfish and desperate desire for powerhuh

He's afraid of being confronted with some home truths hence he avoids any forum that will allow for such intimate discussion...

He's no longer part of any regional plan and integration by isolating himself...

Remember, APC cum SW used the regional integration and economic progress of SW region as a whole to campaign in Ondo state...But they encourage Rochas who they know his antecedent(power monger) to isolate from his region...

Mind you, that some common party policies beneficial to all are discussed in these meetings but with a governor from another party like Rochas; they will be reluctant to share ideas and intimate issues...

Imo is better off economically and politically under PDP or APGA, bearing in mind regional integration and progress...thanks
I refuse to agree with you.
These politicians are all in it for their selfish interests. I am only interested in their moves that benefit the masses locally. Those meetings are pointless and often avenues for furthering their personal goals. You think anything serious happens in those meetings?
As long as Rochas delivers to the people of Imo, I could not careless if he belongs to KOWA and I doubt Imo people care.
