PEREP: I am waiting for the day an ordinary PH man will vote Amaechi over Jonathan.

The drama continues.....
I am no Amaechi fan but the comment above has proven that you do not live in Rivers State. As bad as Amaechi may be,folks in rivers state can point to a few good things he has done for them. What can you point to as GEJ's achievements in Rivers state? East/West Road? The disruption of free movement for days cos his wife came into town for a wedding?

“Governor Peter Obi has suddenly woken up to recognize and respect the traditional institution by giving them vehicles after more than seven years of his administration. Ubah said: “These vehicles are the statutory rights of these royal fathers and they should have been given two vehicles each before now”.

Look at the clown wanting to rule a state that is home to intelligent men. So if he wins he will give three cars to each of these traditional chiefs that add nothing to the society? Dude has every intention of declaring a bazaar in Anambra state. Voters Beware!!

I tell everybody who cares to listen; I am a product of many chances and that’s why I give a second, third and fourth chances to everybody who is serious; those are the messages for me. I also acknowledge observably that my parents own the credit for what I have become; they just didn’t give up. I don’t think that any parent should give up on any child.

I also come from a royal family in Ado Ekiti but i have not seen any positive impact my family has made on the community of Ado Ekiti. We Africans need to get our priorities straight and do away with all these monarchs that do not benefit our communities in anyway. We can not afford all these leeches who do not contribute anything to the progress of our country except to make corrupt deals with corrupt politicians.
while we are doing away with them, lets also do away with the politicians. One and the same.

Abati has no reason to fear.
He only needs to look at his predecessor and be comforted. See how easy it was to rehabilitate Segun Adeniyi? His beloved back page has been given to him and he continues to pontificate.Gullible fellows read his columns and comment. Even more gullible fellows bought his book with their hard cash. Nigerians forget easily and are easily deceived. Abati knows this and he will explain himself with a few articles. He has nothing to fear.

classmark: The anointed is someone that is "called-out", separated, and imparted with divine power to deliver God's mandate on earth. I dont need to argue with you. If you don't understand a thing, especially spiritual matters, it is better to keep quiet than to speak against a person. Even if the anointed derail, it is not for you to speak against; leave that to the Person that called him. Take a cue from David, whom even when he had the chance to kill the backslided, anointed King Saul, he did not. This is becuase he knew the God he was dealing with.
This snobbish attitude is what irritates me. People like you keep pretending that spiritual matters are hidden and mythical. To the unbeliever they are but to the believer, the veil has been torn and the mystery has been revealed (Col. 1:26,ff). Like you rightly said, the anointed one is 'called out'. In the new testament, every believer is called out, from the world into God's marvelous Light. The measure of the anointing may differ do to our walk with God but we are all anointed. In the old testament, men and women were anointed for special tasks and some were judges (leaders) under same anointing. Don't try to bamboozle folks with manipulation. Making pastors beyond correction and criticism is ungodly and not biblical. Even Peter with all his anointing was criticized in line with the word. I then wonder why today's pastors are suddenly untouchable.
I am not interested in speaking out against any man but i sure believe we can expect most MOG to deploy their undeniable influence for the social good of the society. Our light must shine and overwhelm the darkness in this society. Not just from the pulpit but also from the market place.
Methink it is better for Pastor. Enoch Adeboye to continue to be silent over national issues so that he can continue to retain his respect and honour, but he should warn his lieutenants to beware of politicians and politics. For instance his cousin whom he made Provincial Pastor for Ondo Province 1 of the RCCG, Pastor Richard Adeboye turned himself to a campaign manager for Dr Olusegun Mimiko in the last election in the state, using the pulpits to drum support for his benefactor and "church member", this is not good for the body of christ, Pastor Richard Adeboye lost the respect of several hundreds of his church members who had simpathy for other political parties apart from Mimiko's labour party, cheers!
this is a very serious allegation.

This complains are getting petty and beginning to sound like a broken record.
If you care to see what the substance you honour God with is used for go and see page 44 of today's Sunday Thisday. For all the talk of Private jet and all such, the church in Nigeria is doing amazing things in the social sphere. I even dare to say that if all churches in Nigeria were to shut down for a month, the social system of the country will collapse and collapse completely. In a country where there is no social welfare blanket of any sort, the church is doing a massive job. It does not mean that some pastors and church leaders are not serving the gods of their stomach but to sing broken records out of such denies the reality on ground. We need a balanced story if we dare to be truthful to ourselves.

Gbawe: A 1,000.00 likes !!! Pukkah wittily identifies what is obvious. I.e a project united in cynicism and opportunism, now propped up only by jaded geriatrics, ethnic jingost and sabre rattlers plus "chop and clean mouth" mercenaries.

GEJ has no choice but to seek the assistance of these charlatans since the enduringly principled Nigerians money cannot buy have rejected and will continue to soundly reject him. How, for example, can GEJ ever get the support of Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana, Donald Duke, Pat Utomi, Okey Ndibe, Balarabe Musa, Col-Umar et al unless he does the right things by Nigerians? It is instructive that the biggest indicator GEJ's 2015 ambition is doomed is the fact GEJ Mr.Preisdent would find it hard to get even a single well-respected Nigerian to willingly support him.

If GEJ has demonstrated that he means well for Nigerians then others who have also proven this to all Nigerians, perhaps the hard and sacrificial way, will naturally be behind him. This is something no balanced adult can deny. Conversely, what does it make GEJ when it is only crooks and undesirable elements who queue behind him as Pukkah reveals?
Truth of the matter is that he does not need any of the people you listed above. What he needs are the likes of Tony Annenih, Nyesom Wike,Clarke and Iwuanyanwu. These are the men who have the structures on ground to win elections. In Nigerian parlance that means they control the vote riggers, ballot snatchers, arsonists and know the judges malleable to grant questionable injuctions needed to perpetuate evil.

repentance and holiness alone will make the populate heavenly good but earthly useless.
Our ministry as Christians is to affect the earth. You guys are so keen to go to heaven, why not go now?
If God wanted us in heaven so badly,he would have killed you the moment he saved you.
We are talking about using that repentance and holiness to affect this crazy world ruled by the barbarian political class of ours.

classmark: Thats why some people carry curse upon their head, not knowing they've used their mouth or comment to speak against the anointed. As a Pastor, he has been doing his job of preaching good character and patriotism but it's left for people and political leaders to listen and change. Even Jesus says, "He who has an ear, let him hear..".
comments like yours make it difficult to have a reasoned discussion. You guys just think God just rains down thunder on anyone who speaks against your favourite preachers? God does not work that way and the Bible does nor depict him to be such a fiery God busy punishing men . He is a God of mercy and grace. What is the speaking against the anointed you are claiming? Asking for pastors whose influence is acknowledged by even heathens to be massive,to speak out more for change in the open? The simple truth is that these pastors are simply not doing enough considering their influence on the led and leaders.Even God himself who anointed them would find them wanting in line with his Word. Stop scaring people with that Speaking against the anointed thing. It is not biblical. The God of the bible is not a private security firm out to sort out the perceived enemies of your favourite preachers.

Another problem is the role of pastors and traditional leaders; they have killed Nigerians. I cannot point to one pastor that have ever spoken and galvanised people. If pastor so and so can galvanise five million people at crusades, should it not occur to him that he can say something about what is going on? So the human right movement had had its time. There is a time for everything, that opportunity that opened was our time. It will not repeat itself because when politics came, the politicians immediately took the space. Then the politicians have discovered that being in bed with traditional rules and pastors is the most effective anti-dote to keeping the people quiet. If six or seven pastors that I know decide to shake Nigeria, there would be some difference.

If you have Tunde Bakare in many places, I think there would be some difference. But everybody is keeping quiet, all buying jets, enjoying themselves, flying around, there is no difference, they are close friends to the politicians, where do you think the revolution will come from? The revolution is always organised.

People are frozen by different emotions, most by fear. So what we need to do is to defreeze them. We have one hundred and sixty million Nigerians frozen. We need three or four people of diverse backgrounds to defreeze them, but the most powerful now is the religious leaders. They are the ones who can say to Nigerians, common, all right; we will do a, b, c, d, but they are not doing it. They are not. If we can appeal to the pastors, they should stop taking money from their congregation, and challenge government because we know what they are doing. We know it, even though I am a catholic, I know what is happening. What is happening is that the pastors have gone haywire. You know it yourselves and they are making a fortune. If the civil societies are unable to do anything, traditional rulers are unable to do anything, labour is unable and the religious societies are unable to do anything, that’s unfortunate. Revolution is not caused by one mass revolt, it is caused by those who feel aggrieved and have the power to mobilise. But if those who have the power to mobilise are themselves immobile, then we are in for big problem. In any society, ninety percent of the people are neutral, but once they are galvanised, like Martin Luther King galvanised them, they will move. The seeming peace and quiet is not to say that people are not angry, otherwise, most polls I read show that people are not feeling good about themselves.

The message is, let the pastors use the pulpit to galvanise, rather than making money.

I had to go dig out this comment from an interview Mr. Agbakoba granted the Guardian last Sunday where he was appraising our democracy after 14 years. I found the analysis very apt. While i feel the likes of the GO and and Oyedepo have failed us and Bakare is no saint as some of his comments are often crude and sensational,I wish we had more of his kind and a few more of the likes of Sam Adeyemi and Tony Rapu who are making concerted efforts to create a paradigm shift in the kind of followers that the polity produces.
In all our Religious leaders have let us down big time.

AjanleKoko: Hardly surprising that people aren't porting in droves.
Number portability worldwide has not affected more than 5% of the total cellphone user population, in most developed markets. The statistic is even lower in emerging markets similar to Nigeria, like SA, Ghana, and India.
At the end of the day, the number will be even less in Nigeria cos there is little to separate the networks, quality wise.
No sane person will port cos Saka danced on tv.

Family › Re: Should A Husband Forgive An Adulterous Wife? by mbulela: 5:46pm On May 28, 2013
Adabar: Hmmmmm. Even though i recognise the healing capacity of forgiveness, i will choose not to for these simple reasons:
Women do not sleep with men without having feelings for the person unless the lady in question is a prostitute but man can sleep with a woman without any feelings. For example, in my university days, i saw a girl that i had s3x with but couldnt recognise her until i saw her arseNAL. Simple fact: i was attracted by her 'arse'.
For the act itself, Man merely uses the projection of his body while the whole action takes place inside the woman
and you think prostitutes are born that way? you do not know it is an acquired taste? what stops a wife who by your definition is not a prostitute from acquiring same taste?
By extension what stops a man from sleeping with a woman whose ass he was attracted to from falling in 'love' with same woman after sleeping with her?
Your post is highly mysogynistic and devoid of logic.
