The only lesson from all this dramma is never to accept any leader who never wished to be one |
It does not get more emotional than that. If it was in Nigeria people will be going on pilgrimage to Adedibu and his thugs where they will be wielding cutlasses and guns to show off their strength. This is why it is interesting to follow American politics.

Vogts was not our problem - Amun Posted: 2008-02-08 16:03 Former acting Secretary-General of the NFA, Fanny Amun has insisted that Berti Vogts is not the problem with Nigerian football. Amun told KickOffNigeria.com that he had watched in bemusement as Nigerians have torn Vogts apart especially since the ousting of the Super Eagles from the African Cup of Nations. “The first question we must ask is if Berti Vogts forced himself on the Super Eagles, did he? Some people employed him and gave him a contract so I think those people have a case to answer to Nigerians before we begin to talk about sacking the coach,” Amun told KickOffNigeria.com. Why must we sack Vogts when the people who appointed him are still walking free on the streets? Fanny Amun “A man like Amos Adamu must tell Nigerians what happened at the Hilton Metropol in London when we were meant to interview coaches but some people went to Germany, returned with Berti Vogts and what should have been an interview became more like an introduction to the new coach because it turned into a handshake session. “Why must we sack Vogts when the people who appointed him are still walking free on the streets? I hate people saying Berti should be sacked when Amos Adamu has not been sacked. “I am not against Adamu but the truth must be told. When they sent us to London to interview the man, did we? Adamu should also mention the names of the people that went to Germany. What I am saying is that the appointment of Berti Vogts must be investigated because it was all fraudulent,” Amun said. “The procedure of his appointment is faulty so they should stop saying we should sack him. Let us first investigate Amos Adamu and those involved in the contract of Berti Vogts before we begin to talk about sacking Berti Vogts or not. |
well I did not know that making a declaration based on ensuing trend amounts to being psychic anyway thanks for the remark |
~Lady~:Not too sure what u mean ![]() ![]() Anywayz its a public forum, whatever u r trying to say is welcomed. |
Debosky Your such a brilliant guy but I implore you to take time before attempting to defend Yaradua, this move is simply an attempt by his handlers to grab headlines and restore public image through the back door after the lies and spins of this administration has been revealed. I understand even OBJ who is being touted as very corrupt did not spend his security vote for 3years, hence Yar'adua not spending his in the last 8months does not by any means exonerate him from corruption. Not exactly when he is through his AGF bribing and intimidating Justice Ogebe in other to tilt the electoral verdict in his favour. Nigeria is in for the biggest sleaze in history. |
Big B1:Well either supply me his number or extend the message directly to him, you obviously know why am asking u to do this. |
Steal? This is embarrassing and denting our Image and those of our grandchildren, and this man is still in the Federal Executive Council deciding the future of Nigeria. Any credible attempt at image restoration starts from sorting this guy out. |
Thats only possible if some delegates refuse to vote. |
John McCain is simply doing his grandchildren injustice He should be looking after them |
the message is you have no credibility talking about restoring nigeria's image, you simply don't know what it means |
oldie:good point but when people raise trivial issues like this you can only establish their intentions by taking a look at what they historically stand for this is simply an attempt to divert attention, since they succeeded in ousting Ribadu they realized that war against corruption shifted constituency to the Nigerian people. What could be more strategic than using that which divides them to cause confusion. The Nigerian leaders are fueling 419 not any tribal values period |
oldie:The bit in bold is the one million dollar question Now whatever he thinks he is doing to stop anybody becomes untenable when those who looted our commonwealth and banked in Switz banks are his role models. Tell me which destroys Nigeria's business and embarrasses the country more ? A BBC reports which chronicles how Nigerian Generals stash away millions of dollars in the west (money which in turn is used by banks to fund low intrest loans for their local SMEs) or e-mails written by Hustlers .Every society have hustlers, but hustling becomes more rampant in the face of unemployment and failing economy. It becomes obvious that the activities of past Nigerian generals might have fueled the hustling we see today. Nigeria's image have long been destroyed even before the birth of Internet itself. So coming here to isolate the rising hopelessness and fraudulent nature of Nigerian youths from the failures of our leaders is simply being economical with the truth. |
tkb417:Technical incompetence and lack of ability to select rightly should never be tolerated in any coach. Berti Vogts can not be paid millions to learn on the job and reside in Germany while working in Nigeria. Look at your own text, Rudd Voller and Aime Jackuet were indigineous coaches hired to rebuild there National teams. They were not international coaches paid millions to learn on the job. |
Kobojunkie:Thanks for the response. If not for the fact that your response was a direct reply to my quote I would naturally assume it was not meant for me. But not too sure the premise of your response. |
There is no point being harsh to Kobo, I dont think she is very much aware of what goes on, on the streets of Nigeria. I have followed her posts for so long and I dont think she has spent a lot of time in Nigeria. |
When those who vigorously advocated the removal of Ribadu because they say "too many are too corrupt for too long" begin to raise threads like this, its not too dificult to figure out how seriously you should take them. It only reminds you of a certain Governor who looted his State treasury black and blue without involving third parties but goes ahead to champion a law which makes it possible to cut off the hands of peasants when they steal goats and yams to feed for the moment. We the Igbos have grown up and gotten used to the ideology that we are responsible for all of Nigeria's problems, but the only unfortunate thing is that this ideology have simply not solved any of Nigeria's problems. BigB1 99.99999% of Nigeria's problems are caused by the Igbos, I hope you sleep better tonight. |
Does anyone have the contact of Heineken Lokpobiri (Senate Committe Chairman on Sports) Or House Commitee Chairman on sports I think all soccer loving fans should fill the inbox of these two guys with e-mail. They must hear the buzz The sack of Berti Vogts is Superficial NFA board should be dissolved, Ex-Footballers and Ex-Coaches should be managing the game. We must not play politics with everything. |
There is nothing to celebrate Sani Lulu and his board members have to quit too NFA should be managed by those who love the game not politicians |
nigeria1:With all due respect u might be watching a different game, our defenders and Goal keeper were the most dedicated. |
Lol, this time arround, crying and sending false mails wont do. The Clintons should simply appeal for more votes no curning tactics will work, the Obama camp has succeeded in bringing to the fore the "do anything or say anything" to win an election policy of the Clinton political machine. Americans are very much aware. |
We are doing the same thing and expecting different results Politicians will never take our football to anywhere Let us get ex-players and ex-coaches to manage our football. |
weak attempt at crisis management and restoration of public confidence I think they should do us a favour and sack themselves The NFA Chairman and board members should resign |
On the NFA website, every other thing is accessible apart from the organizational statutes http://nigeriafaonline.com/NFA_Statute_2004.pdf |
The Ref was very fair |
Seun:there is no point creating a forum and yet criticize people for commenting on them You can simply shut the armchair critics by closing the blog expelling them wont do because people change names, just close the website |

emmydee:I thought I was the only one who feels this way |
there is not a lot to Ghana's game other than hardwork. |
Finding a replacement for a player because he is ageing does not amount to confining him to the bench. Benching a player is rendering him irrelevant even when he is at the top of his game. Mikel has not played as much as Claude Makelele did when he was at his pic. Besides that, Mikel's strength is not in defensive midfield. He was better of an offensive player while coming up especially when it comes to defense spliting passes. A player who commits an average of 3 fouls in 5 ball challenges, is still learning. A player who keep picking up red cards because he is saddled with the role of shielding the back four is still learning. The world is yet to see the best of Mikel, I believe in his potentials. But its simply out of place to suggest Mikel confined Claude Makelele to bench. Mekelele simply became old and needed replacement. |
Did Mikel bench Makelele or was Mekelele just getting old ![]() ![]() Not too sure about Essien outclassing Mikel. Though Essien is a very good Midfielder, but all he does is work hard and play simple balls from point A to point B. But talk of who will produce a more visionary pass if they have the ball against the back-line of the opposing team. I will prefer Mikel from that view point. But we can only wait till sunday to know who has the better midfield. |
If Ghana goes out on sunday, caf will loose a lot of money |
