MichyEhi: Hi Everyone,
Please I’d appreciate if my questions are actually answered.
Thanks guys
My uncle works with the government as a deputy director in an agency but doesn’t have any savings. I have about 12 million to Use but wanted to add him as a co sponsor, what do I do?
Also.. is it wise to buy land to use a proof of ties and if yes.. must it have a C of O.
Lastly please, must my sponsor be resident in Nigeria?
Thank you!
Mike. First I will like to ask you a question. What is your uncle bringing to the table in your application? cos as a third party sponsor or co-sponsor he will have to show commitment by paying your tuition fee or pay g the said amount into your account. As for the land, if you can't get the C of O I will advise you use the receipt/change of ownership of the land and any other useful document to show proof. What about your family (parents and siblings )? cos they can also be use as home tie. You can use sponsor from any part of the world, all they need to do is show commitment and proof of funds |

Study permit/visa is for program between 6months - infinity, so in your case you need tourist or visiting visa. Ask the institution how to go about it, but I know the application will be treated here in Nigeria and it will lesser time to process |

Dennis2000: OK I understand what you are saying My cousins parents are the one catering for them , my father is not paying for them he just want to help them beacuse they have 8m in their account ( but source of income is good) he just want to act as a sponsor by including his bank statement of 20m and 6m toghether with my cousins parents acc of 8m and also stating in his bank reference letter that he will sponsor them . in my two cousins study permit application form in the space of putting sponsorship they put parents and uncle together with their parents landed properties worth 3m and 4m
We didn't pay any tuition fee
Then in my application I put only parents for sponsorship with my father statement of acc of 20m and 6m together with my dad bank reference stating he will sponsor me and my two cousins and some landed properties worth 4m and 5m
Then we all submit the applications together on Jan 25
Now what the possibility of getting the visa and how long it might take since we submitted the applications together Or can it be refused based on insufficient funds Bro please don't shoot yourself on the leg, your dad is a third party to your cousin and as such he will need to show commitment by paying the money into your cousins' account (not just saying ilhr will sponsor them by mouth), if the vo sees that your dad is commitment 18mil out of his 20mil for sponsoring the 3 of you I think it will be an issue(especially if he has other dependants). My advise is for your dad to just sponsor you alone. NB: I don't know why your uncle wants to send his two sons to Canada to study at the same time when he knows he only has 8mil in his account(and the guys don't have any funding from the school). Well, you all have applied already so nothing anyone here will say that will change the decision of the vo. Just keep praying about it, best of luck |

nattybanta: In this case of yours, three things are involved.
1. The slots available at the taxi company are closed or they haven't started processing visas for the employees.
2. There is no slot available and he is holding on to your money to he can get you a placement in any company, that is why he opt to refund part of the money.
3. Maybe you are already on a long thing. you can pm me your passport page so i can check if anything was even activated on your account.
just be hopeful for the best. Well said bro |

Frankrobbn1: Hello Dennis2000,
If I understand your question clearly you said your father is your sponsor right and he has 20Million as the available balance in his bank account. And you also have two cousins but there parent is the one sponsporing them. You don't need to worry about your cousin, since their guardian/parents are the ones responsible for their expenses in Canada. You should be concerned about yours not their's. Your dad having a closing balance of 20M is good, but to some extent not good. Let me quickly through this question to you : 1-) Where is this 20M held? Is it in your dad personal account or company account? 2-)How much is your tuition...Have your dad paid your tuition fees and transfer your living expenses into your account?.. ... If you want your application to scale through without refusal based on insufficient funds, you should do the needful. 3-) How many dependants does your father have? Your dad should proof that all financial obligations will be meet and also write a convincing letter why he is sponsoring you in Canada to study and also proof to the visa officer that sponsoring you won't be a burden to his business, your siblings , finances and personal live.
I hope this answers your questions.
All the best! Brown he said his dad will act as co-sponsor to his cousins as well, so the total amount his dad will be pledging for the 3 of them will be 18mil out of 20mil..... VERY DANGEROUS MOVE I MUST SAY |

CookieLaVee: Thank you for your prompt response.
Please what about the second question? Where you work now, is it related to your field of study (Bsc) and your intended program in Canada (Msc)? If yes, you don't need to tell the vo you are doing masters now. All you need do is tell them you are working (the amount you earn as salary isn't an issue), but if the job you are doing is not related then you have to silent the job and tell the vo you are doing a masters (though it's another problem to convince the vo why you are going for another masters when you are almost done with one) |

Agbaletu: Thanks. God bless you. Can I give him photocopy of my employment letter because the original is not here with me? I can add landed properties worth 30m. Yes the photocopy will do, but landed property is not really a source or income if it doesn't raise money (like rent), if it's a property placed on rent you should show proof of tenants payment. Since you work in a company your pays lip will help as well(it is very very important) |

CookieLaVee: Hello house. So I have already applied to USASK and Ryerson University, I am waiting for admission. Please can anyone provide me with the link to very first thread of student Canadian visa processes. I wish to prepare and gather documents for visa application ahead of time.
Meanwhile, I am presently doing an MSc in Radiation and Health since 2016 while doing a small field job(Little payment). I hoped I would finish before SEP, 2018 so I could apply to a better school(that has better knowledge and equipment) for this course(Still MSc). Due to strikes and other delays from the school, I still haven't been able to conclude and I have applied to a school already in Canada for almost same course, to resume this fall(September). Do you think I should include that I am presently running a master's in same course but wish to get better knowledge as Nigeria has limited knowledge on medical Physics? Or Should I leave it out of my LOE? Seeing that I might not likely be able to complete it before fall?

KennyAsan: Hello my people, please I need help to confirm if I'm being lied to or not. I just came back from Ivory Coast last year December to process a travelling to Dubai from Nigeria (working visa). But while searching for an agent my elder brother who stay in Ivory Coast told me he has got a contact of a friend from Dubai who can do it for me. I didnt hesitate at all since he is my blood brother and always want the best for me.
I was told there is Taxi driving available, and they will get me driving visa that include 3 years residents, but before I can start I will have to come over and pass through RTA training and also convert my license to Emirate license before I can able to drive.
They said the total cost will be 10,000 aed which will cover, visa, accomodation for three months, RTA training and medical examination. And I will also spend extra money to convert my driver license. And I agreed with them. I was asked to pay 60% first or all at once, but I paid 60% which is 6,000 aed on 26/12/2017.
I was given two weeks for the visa to be ready, but unfortunately when the two weeks is almost over the guy has to request for another documents (Police Character Certificate and must be attested at ministry of external relations in Nigeria) required by the UAE new law, which mean the process has not started yet, before I was only asked to provide my (1) passport copy (2) Copy of Driver license both Nigeria and Ivory Coast (3) Highest qualification which is my WAEC result.
I quickly went to Alagbon to get the paper done, it was sent to Abuja for the attestation and took six days before it was ready, after that, I scanned and send to the man in Dubai on 14/01/2018.
I was told it will be ready in two weeks, but ever since then the man keep postponing next week, next week up till now. When I asked why its taking long, he said it is because of the new law.
I don't know if I should believe him or not, I'm just tired and lost interest already.
I knew about Uber, but never know how they work, when I understand how Uber work, I think to myself is better to buy a good car and start Uber in Nigeria but I will have to get my money back before I can able to.
Then I asked the man if he can withdrawn the visa processing, he told me, I'm going to lose a non refundable fee of 2500aed which is closer to 250,000 naira. Maybe he is lieing I dont know.
What can you say to this my people? Please help me out.
And the guy also said I will be living with him, which is not our agreement, but I can't argue with that since the visa is not even ready yet. Is it better to be sharing a place with someone?
I will be so grateful to hear your advices amd opinions.
Thanks to you all! I am not a guru here but I think you should just wait and see since your elder brother knows this person involve and you have made some payment already. once it comes out you can now ask gurus here to help confirm it for you before you pay the balance. Withdrawing your app now won't be a good idea..... It's my take though(from an inexperienced follower of this thread) |

I will be using two statement of accounts of 20.5M (Naira and Dollar Accounts) Thanks Yes you can sponsor your friend , all you need do is tell the vo it is your own way of helping a friend and go further by paying his tuition fee and transfer his living expenses into his personal account before he applies for the visa. How much is his tuition fee and living expenses? How much do you intend to spend for his studies? Remember the vo will expect you to have enough left for yourself and your dependants after sponsoring your friend. |

I feel if his intended program is related to his previous program and current place of work the vo wouldn't have gone that far to look at his EE app. It is so so unfortunate the vo went that far cos I know more than 2 people with dual intent and they got both |

Help a brother. You mum should submit her payslip, soa, and employment documents (letter, ID). Your Dad should submit his sos, pension documents and any other source he earns money. toludadon: To all denied on financial reasons, having a fat account balance isn't what CIC is looking for but an account balance where the sources of the funds are well explained . Having a sudden deposit of lump sum without a concise explanation as per how you come about the huge deposit can fetch you refusal on financial ground. When next you are applying, try to explain as best as you can the sources of your funds like the occupation of your sponsors and returns from investments To add to what you have said, even if the source of money is well explained and there's no lump sum the sponsor needs to show commitment (especially if he/she is a third party ) by paying the applicant's tuition fee and transferring the living expenses into the applicant's bank account. IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT! |

jnyuwa02: He didn't really make a big mistake. PGD can be for professional training on a specific field. He needs to explain what he professionally hopes to gain and how that might improve his work status. If on reconsideration he does this and he is still rejected, he should apply for a master's. His chances getting a visa are great with a masters admission. I had worked with a fully funded candidate here who was rejected for a PGD by the VO. He didn't seek reconsideration explaining why PGD, just applied for a PHd and got in. The visa was granted expressly and the rest is history. Very true, though my emphasis was mostly on the 10months program. |

egolaw75: I have been carefully following the thread. I was denied today.
I submitted the application via paper route on 11th January 2018
I believe the VO did not go through my application AT ALL. Why?
I was denied on the following
- TRAVEL HISTORY - I have traveled to UK,France and US. I was in US last year i renewed my US visa for another two year. I photocopied all the visa pages and i submitted it. I don't think the VO went through the application
- FAMILY TIE - I am married with two kids. I am not going with them. They are staying here. Also my company wrote a letter to the Embassy which i submitted stating that the course am going for is a prerequisite for my next promotion. The company stated that after my studies i will come back to get a higher post. That am expected to resume back on so so day. I don't think the VO even open the document.
-PURPOSE OF VISIT - I wrote a comprehensive SOP. Stating all the facts i need to state and following the thread on SOP. I also believe the VO did not open it nor READ it AT ALL.
The course am going for is PGD and its for 10 months.I have over 5 years working experience and currently working.
I am thinking of reapplying again
Thanks all Sorry for the delay, Yes you did almost everything right but you made a very big mistake going for PGD (a 10 months own at that )with all your experience. I bet if you order for your file the only reason will be purpose of visit, you have BSc already with 5 years working experience so they expect you to go for something bigger (MSc). Try and order for your file then apply for MSc program |
