Yes you do and it should be addressed to Canadian high commission Accra or deputy Canadian Hugh commission Lagos

Your fiancee is not your husband yet, so I will suggest you both get married before he travels in march then once he gets there he can now help you with spousal. If you don't marry before then he won't be able to get spousal for you.
So try and get married before he travels as your chances of getting spousal is very high.
As for the wedding, rush down to ikoyi registry and sort it out before he travels

Please quickly get a new passport if not, your trv will only last the validity of your passport.

Sorry bro, he can't get a new passport now until at least 6 months to the expiry date of the present one. He should submit this one like that and when he gets to Canada apply for a new one and his study permit will be reissued on the new passport without any issue

I actually explained in my previous SOP the reason I wanted to study in Canada, maybe it wasnt convincing enough, dunno. Also I provided proof of fund for a year because i actaully attached the receipt for the fee with my previous Application. Am just surprised why I was still rejected. Thanks for your Input

Concerning funds, the visa officer was concerned how you will pay your tuition fee for the subsequent year(s). Your spouse sorry should show proof of funds and how he intends paying your next tuition fee and living expenses

Yes they can and it will work. Some schools don't accept tuition fee until the student secures trv, so let the house of assembly pay the said money into your account and they should state it in their letter of support that the fund has been transferred to you (you should also state it BOLDLY on your SOP)

Glory be to God University of Northern British Columbia offered me admission(MSc Business Administration) and I got my acceptance letter last Friday...Now regarding the study permit application tbh I'm really confused and I have few questions.

1. I wasn't required to make any deposit. Should I just go ahead and make payment for the first semester for visa purpose?

2. Can a place like House of Assembly of a state be my sponsor?

3. I completed my Nysc May last year and since then till now I haven't been employed because i decided to complete my ican (institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria) papers.. Is this a valid reason for staying unemployed?

4. When is the best time to apply for visa since the admission is for September resumption

5. What should be the minimum balance in the statement of account of my sponsor if mu sponsor was to be my mum.. Kindly note that the yearly tuition fee is around 6000 CAD..

I'd appreciate your candid advise and opinion...

1. Paying tuition fee doesn't guarantee you trv, some people just do it to show they have funds readily available. If you don't feel like paying no problem but make sure you show that the fund for your program (tuition and living expenses ) are with you (in your account) and you can transport it to Canada as soon as your trv is ready.
2. Yes they can but the best way for them to do it is to pay your tuition fee and send your living expenses into your personal account before you apply for your trv. They should also write a letter of support stating why they want to spend millions on you and "maybe" what they stand to gain in it.
3. Yes it is a valid reason not to be working but you must show proof (the certificate you got). You can tell them you needed to concentrate on your ican.
4. NOW!
5. Since your tuition is $6000 and your living expenses is at least $10,000, so that makes it at least $16000. The number of dependants your mum have apart from you will determine how much she needs to have, but it should be more than $16000(cos she and the dependants will eat and take care of themselves while you are schooling in Canada). Also she will have to show her source of fund so as to show the visa officer she can sustain herself, her dependant and you after the first year.

Congratulations bro, don't panic as you don't have any problem. You can only renew your passport when it is at least 6 months to expire, submit the one you have and it will be stamped then when you get to Canada you can renew your passport (at least 6 months to its expiry date) then go back to the immigration to get it stamped(study permit) again for the remainder of your study period.... All that will be done in Canada, so submit your passport ASAP to vfs office so you can get your trv

This is purpose of visit and fund issue. You didn't explain well in your sop why you intend schooling in Canada and not here in Nigeria as there are schools offering same course here and it's cheaper. Also you didn't provide proof of fund for your program(after the first year).. The travel history to me is just as a result of the first two, tackle those two and travel history will be taken care of

Bro like I said sometime ago, FORGET THIS VERY ADMISSION! Try and apply again to schools that will give you funding, the fact you are yet to get your PhD offer doesn't mean it won't come. Still send out some mails to some more schools and professors and you might be lucky (you can ask some PhD students here like @Mazi or any other guru here to help you proof-read it before you send out). Don't be in a hurry and feel you can't get another offer.

He went on to say that there are differnt immigration routes for those waiting for a connecting flights and those who are disembarking and going into frankfurt/canada. He only told me that if i am sure that Barbados only stamp on one's passport uppon arrival, that i have no issue. He went on to say that our own airport officials would not deny me travelling through the point of exit if truly the end destination (Barbados) is visa free to me. That they would only make sure that I have the right tickets. Please, kindly confirm or enlighten me on this as much as you can. This will be my first travel experience. Thank you

The quote by Lufthansa is not to your final destination na, or did you pay for half the trip? Your agent should have booked the flight to your final destination, even if Lufthansa isn't going to your final destination the agent should have booked a connecting flight from where Lufthansa will drop you and the time between both flights shouldn't be up to 12hours. Since it is like this you will have to follow what the agent says cos as it is now I am confuse about it

What does the ticket or printout the agent gave to you says? cos that should carry the name of the airline(s) that will take you to and fro. If Lufthansa is from Lagos to Frankfurt and back then there should be another airline taking you from Frankfurt to your final destination and back. So what does your ticket or printout says? It has to show the flight details from Lagos to your final destination and back.

1). About my ND Transcripts for my app, my school hasn't delivered it to my place of work since past 3weeks now and i went there of recent to complain, still nothing and its the only doc delaying my form. I have till Monday as the last day of submission for my app.
I don't know if i would be able to create another CIC account if my current account is automatically deleted after 26th? Should in case my Transcripts is still not delivered. Or is there any suggestion on how to go about the issue?

2). About the "Digital Photo" am to upload, i don't have the soft copy (Electronic file) with me just the hardcopy (Printed one), is it okay if i scan and upload it and how many copies?

3). Is it also okay if i snap some of my documents without scanning them? My phone camera is 13mp, though i will still compress and save them as a pdf files. Is uploading of docs with mixture of different formats accepted? I mean like, pdf+jpg, cause some of my documents are in pdf formats whilst others are jpg formats. Or must all be in pdf formats only?

4). If i'm done Compiling/Merging all the documents into one file accordingly (Academic, Employment, Financial and Other Docs). On the "Supporting Documents" Section, where would i upload it? Is is under "Proof Of Means Of Financial
Support"? And i was told that, i'm to upload only my SOP under "Letter Of Explanation" right? And only my Int'l Passport under "Passport (require)"? And only my Acceptance Letter + Tuition deposit receipt should be uploaded under "Acceptance Letter (require)" right?.

5). About my IELTS Exam, i was asked on my app form if i had any and i clicked "NO" though i took the Exam but, i didn't meet up with the school requirement which is at least minimum of 6.0 Band as Overall Score and at least minimum of 5.5 Band Score from each Part. But, i had 6.0 as Overall Band and i had 4.5 only on my Reading Part. And someone told me, it doesn't matter to the VO if i don't meet up with the school proficiency requirements that it won't stop them from giving me a Visa. So the person told me to include it in the docs and also click "YES" on the app form.
Do you think o should include it.
Moreover, my Intended school never asked me to upload my IELTS Result, only what i read on the requirements is "You May Be Asked For It" which i believed, its not compulsory.

1. If you have your degree/diploma certificate you don't have to wait for your transcript before applying for TRV. I don't know what you mean by your CIC account being deleted but I know CIC still have your account details so you can still use it.
2. Yes you can scan your passport photograph and upload it
3. The type of type of each document is stated beside , so if they say "pdf" you must use pdf only and not pdf and jpeg, where they say "jpeg" as in the case of your passport photograph then you use jpeg only. Scan all documents even if your camera is 100mgpixel
4. Other documents should collect all your supporting documents, SOP......
5. If you tell CIC you took IELTS then you should show proof of it bit since you said you didn't cos you feel your score isn't enough then don't include it. IELTS result won't have any effect on your application

Thanks for your response. My flight from frankfurt FRA lands in Toronto at 16:30 (I guess thats 4:30pm) and is expected to depart Toronto at 8:15 (should be a.m I presume because the date is on the following day. Going by your analysis, thats about 16 hours if i'm correct. Or what do you think?

Just like I said earlier, If it is the same airline they will make provision for your hotel cos you can't stay I'm the airport for 16hours waiting for your next flight. Contact the airline and they will tell you everything. Don't bother applying for Canadian visa until you hear from the airline. NO FEAR!

Your brother can print his original US bank statement by simply logging online if he has online banking. Takes only minutes and he can email it to you. He can also transfer money into your dormiciliary account in Nigeria so easily. In 2-3 days it will be in your account in Nigeria. Ask him to transfer 10k to cover for your first year room and board. Since he is a close family relative, paying one year tuition is not necessary. If CIC want you to pay, they will let you know. Request also from him an affidavit of support. It's a sworn affidavit undertaking to support you and the reason why he is doing so. His drivers license, birth certificate and copy of green card or any legal status in the United States, need to be included. Don't forget to include a letter of explanation from your own end, expounding on your ties to Nigeria and the factors that would induce your return. Best!
