Moley22: Goodafternoon everyone, I have a question bothering me hence I've been unable to submit my visa app yet for Jan2018 ...I've just been depressed and using this forum to ease my mind by frequently learning... 1.Please, Does my sponsor need to transfer funds to my account and still print a statement of his account or I'll be the one to print the statement after he transfers even if he will eventually have a low balance after the transfer .. (Note:Na my own money i send to am because he broke presently now bt na rich man tho#big salary#)i have his supporting documents cos he's my guardian also
2.If I'm to use a co-sponsor,how do i do this, does he also have to transfer money to my account too... Lets say my tuition and living expenses sum to 18kCad, does he have to transfer some funds to my account... Preferably another bank account or same... I know my questions seems odd, The thing is i have enough funds to cover my undergrad studies and even that of my siblings but the funds are/were paid to me as my late parent's death benefit hence i can't present myself as sponsor because i don't work, still a kid tho Please Beautiful people someone gimme a breathe of fresh air Austinpee4, Canadiannurse,Guru and aspiring gurus your suggested inputs will be much appreciated... And to the TRV expectants may God cause you to smile and bring your Canadian dream as mine to reality soonest... God bless y'all 1. your uncle should pay the money into ur account and both of u will submit ur respective bank statement. 2. in using a co-sponsor all u need is another letter of support from the co-sponsor and he/she will also show commitment by paying either ur tuiton fee or pay his own support fund into ur account. NB: since u say u don't work, when did u roundup ur last school? Cos u will need to explain the large chunk of cash in ur account(apart from the one ur sponsor's will send to u). My advise will be: 1.Since u have enough to carter for ur tuition, living expenses and also carter for ur siblings I will tell u to provide proof that the money was from ur parents benefits(it will act as source of fund). 2. If u trust ur uncle enough with money and u have another bank account(the one that doesn't have much money in it ) u can transfer ur tuition and living expenses + extra cash to ur uncle then he will later pay the said cash into ur other account (that has little money in it), after paying it into ur account let him write a letter of support stating the amount he sent to ur account and why he is sponsoring u (he can tell the vo ur parents made him who is is today and since they are no more it is his duty to make sure u have the very best education). |

Lagos2canna: There was proof with certificate of birth, change of name and office papers. Did ur uncle pay the living expenses into ur account? Cos he is a third party and the vo will want him to pay the living expenses into ur account before u apply. But all the are guess work, only ur file will explain in details. Pls answer my above question |

jnyuwa02: Is there a difference in services to warrant such wide disparity in pricing? Is the Children's Practise for children literally? Lol! Children practice isn't for children alone. For people doing medical on request they prefer IOM cos they said it's faster (they send result to cic within 2 days if am not mistaken) while children's practice takes around 5 days or so. I always advise people going for upfront medical to use children's practice as its cheap and since cic won't be needing the medical details that urgent. NB: I think the difference is just few days |

Austinpee4: Bro, the bold is actually the issue with your application. You know, going from an english speaking country to study english in canada(even prior to your program) may not be acceptable by most visa officers. They would rather expect that if indeed you need to improve your english, attempt TOEFL(test of english as a foreign language), IELTS(International english language testing system) to fulfill the condition of your program before you begin the undergraduate you eventually want to pursue.
So it will be imperative that you put this at the back of you mind in your next attempt. See if you can fulfill the english condition of your program and get direct admission into the program before you reapply. They will not believe you want to study genuinely going through the ESL no matter the duration. Your english can be improved here in nigeria through the test i mentioned to give you direct admission. So please, attempt it from here, fulfill your condition and get your admission before you apply again.
Regards. well said, MUN is one of the schools that aren't too strict when it comes to English language(when Nigeria is concern). I got my admission there without toefl, all he need do is get a letter from his secondary school stating he was taught in English Language during his secondary school days and MUN will accept it. Thank God he is going for an undergraduate program |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mcobex: 7:34pm On Jul 09, 2017 |
Frankrobbn1: Well, I had a conditional acceptance letter into ESL (English as a Second language) program which runs for 12 weeks, which was attached to my undergraduate Acceptance letter indicating that after my completion of ESL program, I can now enroll with my degree program in the school.
Area of study wasn't specified, but in my SOP I explained to them that after my ESL program, I will enroll into my undergraduate degree program in computer sciences which is the faculty of science i was accepted by the school.
I also attached that I have work in a company as a system Administrator and together with my 6 months diploma certificate award in desktop publishing, which I used to gain a job after my secondary school education. From ur profile I will advise u apply directly for ur undergraduate program instead of going through another English language course to get admitted. Nigeria is an English speaking country so u don't need any "pre-undergraduate English " course to get undergraduate admission. Just get a letter from ur secondary school stating u were taught in English language when u schooled there and u will be good to go. When I applied to MUN I was asked about proof of English language and all I did was go to my polytechnic to get a letter to that effect and thank God I got the admission. NB: Go to ur secondary school, get the letter and send it to MUN using ur secondary school's name as the sender |

Lagos2canna: Hello house i got a delay mail from CIC yesterday based on the following. I submitted on 30/May/2017 trough paper route.
1. Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation, I am not satisfied that you: A. have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.
2. You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including: A. Purpose of visit B. Travel history
I paid my school fees for 1 year which was $3000 but i paid $5000, the receipt was included. I submitted a bank statement of 6m from my uncle in 4 different account. I also proved relationship I filled my brother's address in Canada in the family form. Intended program M.ED
I am confused presently don't know what went wrong. sorry for the delay bro, kindly share ur full profile let's see(like ur previous program, where u work now, all documents u submitted....) |

Austinpee4: Well, if IRCC wanted a letter of assurance for tuition, it would have been spelt out. Remember, she also showed SUFFICIENT AVAILABLE funds from her uncle meaning funds are available aside the NDDC scholarship.
So providing only the assurance letter from NDDC will mean there is actually no funds from uncle as claimed and that could affect the overall credibility of sponsor and ability to live up to the responsibility of sponsorship. I'll still suggest, @pureRuby find a way to atleast pay the first year tuition as instructed or have funds in canada atleast. The application is 85-90% sure at it stands now, anything to make it a 100% will be best. I just wish she can find funds to do this before the duration expiration. I get it now, I just pray she sort it out asap cos I know she is almost at the finish line. May God take control |

Austinpee4: @pureRuby,
Just as most people have adviced, see how you can get funds and proceed as instructed by the embassy. Since you were asked to pay your fees and give the assurance for living expenses., do exactly that. Like one moniker mentioned, they know of government funded scholarships and it's inadequacies.
Find a way to transfer your tuition to your student account. Find out from your school if the contracted western union global solution or other third parties for international transfer or get the school's account to transfer your first year tuition. Some schools allow international transfers to students' account and deduct tuition and other fees from there at the beginning of each academic sesssion.
All the embassy wants is that funds is domiciled in canada .Anything other than this may not be good.
Your application approval is imminent and it's in your hands.
All the best. bro what if she doesn't have any other means of raising the money to pay while she waits for nddc to pay? I feel if she can't get that she should just ask nddc for another letter reassuring cic that they will make the payment as soon as he gets she gets her trv. I also want to use the case of schools that doesn't accept tuition fee until trv has been approved, cic understands that as long as the school writes a letter to that effect and also the applicant can get a letter of assurance from his/her bank (sponsor ) that the funds will be transported as soon as the applicant gets his/her trv. NB: From the little I know I think she doesn't have any other way to raise the tuition fee. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mcobex: 12:46pm On Jul 07, 2017 |
PureRuby: My brother don't doubt the line. That's the rule of the new MD and his team.
NDDC has payed the complete 30k USD plus N500k take off fee to the first batch who travelled earlier. 2nd batch has just been payed N500k take off fee and about to be paid tuition and upkeep.
They pay at once now, it's just the condition of travelling first before they can pay. bro if u can't get money elsewhere to pay ur tuition urself while u repay the person when NDDC pays u then I will still advise u get an asurance letter from NDDC stating clearly that their new rule will only allow them to pay ur tuition fee when u arrive Canada. NB @ALL what happens in a situation when some schools don't accept tuition fee until one's trv has been approved? in that case a letter from the school stating clearly that they won't accept tuition until approval of trv and cic will accept it that way. NDDC is well recognized by cic and for the application to have gone this far it means cic recognize NDDC. That's my little take on this |

PureRuby: .
My dream of studying in Canada manifested by the scholarship i got not that I am from a buoyant family. I added the award letter to my application bit nddc is yet to pay as their new rule is that they won't pay you until you travel. Now how do i travel if i don't get my trv? Do you think a reassurance letter from nddc will doyje trick since it's scholarship u don't need to pay any money into ur account, all cic needs now is a reassurance letter from ur sponsors and u will be fine. Ur trv has been approved bro, just get the reassurance letter from ur sponsors and u will get ur trv |
