Your processed passport has been despatched from the Canada Visa Office {Location}, on 25/07/2017 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. Does that mean that, my passport is ready for collection..

Yes, but wait till Tuesday before going for it. Normally VFS is suppose to mail you to come over for it but if by Tuesday you don't get it I will advise you go(it will be there by then)

Both routes have same processing time frame. You and your friend can get the list of documents on www.cic.gc.ca there you will see the documents that's applicable to his application, cos no two application is the same.

Yes you are suppose to get a mail stating your passport has been dispatched but if you don't get it just wait around 7 days or more after receiving final decision been taken then visit VFS for your passport (with all things been equal)

It's not a must, though some schools will ask you to pay before you can apply for visa

.....aspa ur tuition payment you can use form A now and it's fast (should get to your within 3 to 5 days ). Contact your bank for full details

Try and pay your tuition fee asap and let your schools send you the receipt/proof of payment. As for the living expenses just go back to your bank to give you another letter stating you will be allowed to transport the money when you eventually get your trv. If you can do all these (especially paying your tuition fee you will get your trv). So at this junction you are the one cic is waiting for before stamping your kpali

Do you or your fiancee have any company or business you run here in Nigeria? Cos if you both get married and you apply together without any hometie it will be hard to convince the vo. Trust me the disadvantages of both of you applying together outweighs the advantages, don't be scared just allow him to apply alone and I am very sure his own will be approved before you know it, after that he can now apply for you. Don't allow your fear to spoil his application.

My school does not give Transcript by hand but prefers to send directly to foreign school.
And am applying to Centennial College. The College said that I should send the scanned copy of my Transcript and other documents in one PDF file​ to them.

Pls how do I get my Transcript since my school in Nigeria don't give it by hand?

Some schools give their students a copy(student copy) of their transcripts, another option is if you have someone that owns a company or works in an organization and holds a reputable position there you can apply for local transcript and have it sent to the person's company after which you can go and collect it from him/her. Though that won't stop you from still reapplying for another (official) transcript when you must have been given conditional admission (pending when the official transcript gets to them )

He has a potential supervisor who has asked him to go ahead and apply against fall of 2018, the department says they give 25k CAD to each international student as funding per year minus the ones from his supervisor or the ones he can apply for himself. He and i are to legally Wed next month September 2017. Now my question is this, can I apply for visa along with him? And do we need to provide sponsor? Keeping in mind that I have been refused visa twice for pgd in Canada twice last year.

Yes you can apply with him but mind you it will require more money (for your own living expenses ). On my own part I will advise he applies alone first and after getting his own you can apply for yours (him applying alone without you will help tackle hometie issue). Aspa him using a sponsor it's not compulsory if his funding covers(with excess) his tuition and living expenses, but to be on a safer side he also needs to have some cash in his own personal bank account and ensure to explain in details in his sop everything about his scholarship from the school and what it covers. Gurus in the house should explain better

You are right about it not derailing the thread, my only take is that some applicants intentionally refuse to state they had been denied visa in the past thinking the vo won't know and after they must have been caught come to ask for the way forward. Though I know some few cases here where the applicants stated their previous refusal and still get the misinterpretation message from cic but with that you can respond to the query and be vindicated but in the case those that did it intentionally they should be also bold to face the vo without asking for how to go about it.

I submitted my application for student visa 9th of may 2017 ,and I received a message yesterday which says.
Dear applicant
I have reviewed your application and document which you submitted in its support. I have a concern that you have not fufilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the immigration and refugee protection act.
On the current application form,you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa,admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country.According to information in our records,you were refused a visa to the united state in 2015.
I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information, I will afford you 15days from the date of this letter to make any representation in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence and clearly indicate your file number.if you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above ,your application will be addressed based on the information available,which will likely result in a refusal.

between you and God did u mistakenly tick NO or it was intentional? Since u said it was a mistake, did you mention it in your sop? as that would help. Well, u have to convince the vo why u didn't state the refusal if not that will mean "refusal" and a posible ban of around 2 years or more.

I did a change of name (addition to my surname and shortened my middle name)if any one has done this you'd know the problem

So just one time no denial nor delay I want to give glory to God

I did biometrics on 26th of may
Called for medicals on 17th of july
Went for medicals on 18th
Approval yesterday 28th of July

Not knowing I had gotten an approval yesterday at the salon I didn't read the message well (I got it from my visa agent) I was still worrying a little yesterday night cuz I really want this visa to be approved so I can get this over wiTh

It's only God that made this possible only God and if you don't believe have faith and pray during though times mehn nothing will work out

We all have our personal reasons for wanting to travel to Canada and since it's personal let's leave it at that. I am curious what fee people paid to get a Nigerian police clearance and how long did it it take to get it? Was the fee negotiable? Here in Jos they charged me 20k. I mentioned this forum to the police that people here said it costs only 5k in Alagbon. They said that is Lagos and this is Jos. Does this make any sense?

They charged u 20k cos they will also bring it to alagbon to do on ur behalf, so it's just like u are paying for their transport fare. if only u can come to lagos u would have been able to do it for as low as 3k sef (depending on ur bargaining power but I think the least I have done is 3k)

I hope it's an approval, but this is unprecedented. Could they be looking to decipher your travel history that is why they are asking for the passport. Approval even before you have passed Medicals, sounds really out there in the outlier of normal CIC occurrence.

For cic to have asked him to go for medical that means approval (except if he fails his medical) but we all know what God can do which is the unthinkable.

u are suppose to get a mail notifying u that a message has been sent to ur cic account but that hasn't been the case lately as some people don't get notification. Just be checking ur cic account from time to time and u will see it when it is sent

Another question please, I was denied UK visiting visa in 2014 on the grounds that my sponsor did not provide a letter stating to finance my trip... and that they aren't convinced that i will return back to naija at the end of my visit.

Should I mention this in the CIC form which asked about being denied visa into Canada or any other country??

hello house just need to know in case of one reapplying after been refused- can one still resubmit same documents apart from statements of account. like my case been denied base on misrepresentation - can still resubmit same SOP. Answer pls

u can submit same documents but aspa the sop u will need to look at what u didn't state clearly on it and try to explain more, also I think it will be nice if u also include that u have been denied visa before and state how u have rectified that fault on ur new application. NB: your new application will be treated as a new one so submit everything from scratch
