Moley22: This thread is really helpful and important, After digesting several pages, Guys please is it advisable to submit my app for Winter 2018 already? I'm asking because i don't want my passport away for so long but not for any reasons tho... A kind contribution is needed thanks guys since u don't want to part with ur passport for now then wait till around August/September cos by then they must have worked on most of the September students applications. but if u want to apply now u can do that online as that won't require u submitting ur passport. NB: personally I will prefer u wait till first week of august |

jnyuwa02: Where are the people saying I cannot apply from Cameroun? Congrats bro!! I am still waiting for my official approval admission by the school of graduate studies. Academic Unit already approved admission and full funding $20,000 each year for two years. Graduate studies department takes 2-4 weeks to approve. The wait has been painful. It would certainly mean I cannot apply in Nigeria due to back log. bro I thought we have passed this? I remember saying u should apply and give us the feedback. NB: @ejaloni123 applied from Rwanda cos he is studying there. but just like I said b4 tey and apply from Cameroun and let the house know how it goes. # Endofdiscussion |

RAY12345: Alright bro, just for another time. where exactly in Alausa is their office located??
and also, was it this month u applied for the passport? from ikeja take a bus going to ikeja shopping mall, drop at the bus stop and cross to the other side of the road, walk into the street (should be the last or 2nd to the last structure on the left of the street) |

RAY12345: for real I applied for passport at Festac for close to a month now, still not out. kindly give me the details of how it's done in Alausa. Thanks in anticipation. since u have applied already there's no need going to alausa again. but for the record, go there and meet any of the immigration guys there and u can bargain. the last one that helped me collected 35k for 64 pages but u can meet any officer there and discuss with him (I made mention of the price I did mine cos I know they will want to cut ur head with price ) |

CanadianNurse: INVESTIGATIoN IN PROGRESS
On June 05 2017 someone created a moniker with the name Biola2017 (similar to John2017) and came to this thread telling people he pays application fee and any fee abroad cheaper than CBN exchange rate this caused a hassle and our dear mod deleted his posts and cautioned him( maybe with a ban) and since then that moniker hasn't logged into nairaland
Fast-forward to June 09 2017 another moniker was created John2017( similar to Biola2017) and immediately started telling people that he has ways to export money and pay fees etc
I want to categorically state that this is pure scam because every nook and crane of this country that money can leave from is guarded by a policy from CBN
Because people have been complaining of proof of fund export the guy sef add am to his scam.... My dear what's the difference between form A and export
Explain what you mean by export..... I pray you find a good job soon
For silent readers and new commers to the thread
Nairaland is a public and faceless forum... There is SCAM everywhere including on nairaland and this one is just one of them...
Go to bank and enquire on how you can pay your fees
Don't use any agent for visa
Open a domiciliary account if push comes to shove
These hungry poor lions are waiting for unsuspecting victims to prey on
Sometimes they even use like 6 monikers to give themselves referrals and praises all so that you can fall for them
Read through this thread and past threads then you will know people who are genuinely here to share info
John 2017 you just open account on June 09 and under 5days.. You have the secret to solve all the financial hindrances.....
Imagine 5days old moniker dey follow @austinepee4 and @mcobex dey drag thread ontop cheap scam
One question when did you apply for visa? When did you get admission? Which school
If you are genuine and you can't share your "secret to pay tuition" at least share your profile
You all should urge him to share his profile
Meanwhile see pics below Don't mind the guy jare, I just pray some lazy NL housemates don't fall for this. |

Sancole: I am new on this thread and appreciate the good work you are doing. I have an admission to study Master of Management at the University of Windsor. The program duration is 16 months and the tuition is 32,000 CAD. I have about 10 years work experience and will fund my studies. Even though the tuition is high, I opted for it because it does not require GMAT like most Management courses in Canada. When applying for study permit, will I be expected to show proof of fund for the whole tuition or part? you will have to show for the whole program since ur offer letter states 32, 000 CAD. if ur offer letter stated otherwise then u don't have to |

Yasmine04: Evening house. Please I have a question. My school made a little error on my address on my offer letter. They wrote 186 instead of 18b, street name was intact just d number. It's a mistake on their part and they admitted it but they said I can only change it when I get to school at the appropriate office. All my documents show 18b. Please I hope there will be no problem regarding this at the embassy. Dear gurus over to you please... there will be no problem . it's just an address (which can change anytime any day )you are good to go |

mcobex: @lovesavvi I will advice u leave ibadan a day b4 ur application date (after work in the evening )n then go to do ur medical at children's practice(cos they open by 8am but u have to be there b4 then), after ur medical u can now move to alagbon for ur police report (they open around 9am), after then u can now move down to lekki to apply for ur visa. NB: my reason for this sequence is cos it will be hard for police to attend to u by 8am so instead of wasting that precious 1 hour u should go first to do ur medical as u can do that from 8am and then move to do ur police report after that |

Yomalicious: Hi Everyone, am new to nairaland and an happy because all I see are people that try to help each other. So am applying on Monday for my study permit (paper route). Got ad mission to do Diploma integrated Aviation Management in McGill University for Sept 2017. My profile is as follows; I am 30 yrs old
Bsc Building (unilag) 2008
Work Experience 2010-2017/02 held several positions customer service rep/ passenger handling officer/senior airport service executive. I recently change jobs for a position of GM operations and Marketing
Travel History Been to US UK Canada Dubai South Africa Saint Lucia
Family ties Married with 3 kids(kids are US citizens) and hubby has a 5 yrs visiting visa to Canada
Financials Sponsoring myself 14500 USD and 4.2m
Tuition 18,350 CAD and 11000 CAD for expenses
Going alone for the study and it's a 12 months program. I have never been denied a visa before Done police report and upfront medicals
1. So my question is my course doesn't relate to my first degree. 2. Most people are using sponsors. Sponsoring myself is that a problem. I really don't want to have to lie 3. Sincerly how long does it take to get response 4. All family members can enter Canada legally. Is that not an issue
Please gurus in the house abeg evaluate n tell me what to do better 1. from my own understanding u have been working in the aviation sector since 2010 till date (2017) that should be enough to convince the vo(though a good sop to explain will help more). 2.its not a must u use a sponsor as I can see u have more than enough to carter for urself for the whole 12 months of ur program. 3.as at today the processing time is 14 weeks but it can be approved before then 4. it's not an issue at all. hope I was able to answer your questions? gurus in the house can explain better sha |

jnyuwa02: By all means disclose that you were refused a visa. Under the Biographic Visa Immigration Sharing between USA and Canada, they can find out. The reason is not always asked, only whether you were ever denied is what is asked. If you were denied before the advent of Biometrics (Pre-1999), you could have gotten away with it by not disclosing. bro u are qoating the wrong moniker here. |
