ceaser: GTB always makes sense jare. No knee jerk reflex when it comes to hiking exchange rate or even reducing same when it drops. The latter is what peeps bank on when refunds from AE and Alibaba are made. GTB usually pays back in the prevailing exchange rate.
Rate as at yesterday on AE is 365 naira. I once use their card, lost it and was too lazy to reactivate another and decided to use Access and now they are acting crazy with their rates. |

Will you reject it?
This life na God they save person Don't use a personal account for that, that is why businessmen use their business account. That way you don't really need to know the person transferring to you. When you use your personal account, it is assumed you know the person you are dealing with. |

Stillthebest:

Lol G level on you. He transferred to you from someones else account.
You cant clear yourself except you have a cogent evidence(like cctv)., contact your lawyer asap! Since u did this in the atm premises, there should be cctv. Get the bank to open the cctv for investigation. Get your lawyer involved, if the bank claims no cctv Sue the bank. CCTV can't really help him. Have you seen the resolution of bank's CCTV cameras? Most of them are like 1MP bad camera, you cannot really see anything clearly more than 5m away. How can the CCTV footage prove that the person he was conversing with asked him to do what he did since they don't have audio on it? He should quietly pay, if that is all that will resolve this, and learn his lesson which ain't even big considering the circumstances. |

eliok: one seller told me that the item is not in stock that's why its awaiting shipping. I had to cancel order sharply I don't have the luxury of canceling as the seller is the only one selling what I'm buying at a reasonable price, others are selling at like double that price. So, I'll wait it out and see how it goes. |

Some things to NEVER do in bank or anywhere for that matter.
No 1) Never accept transfer from someone you do not know to give them cash.
No 2) Never assist anyone to withdraw cash from ATM, the person you are assisting may be a thief trying to hide his face from the ever present camera on ATM.
No 3) Never render any kind of help outside or inside banking hall, except to point the person asking question to either a bank staff or security.
No 4) Report any sudden deposit from an unknown source to your bank, instruct them to reverse the deposit, never think someone somewhere have decided to "bless your hustle". You'll be surprised to get a visit from the Anti Kidnap Squad for that alert.
Be safe, loads of dubious people on the prowl. @OP you just helped a fraudster cash out, you'll be lucky you only have to refund the money, I've seen people bag long prison sentence simply because they "helped" someone the way you did. Be safe. |

earthrealm: omo, that would be my first and last experience buying an LG freezer!!! worst are those units with internal condenser, abi evaporator....i returned it to LG, they tried repairing it under waranty, i took it home...3 days later sh,it doesnt chill again...........took it back again it stayed months with them...picked it up again...fairly better, but i knew issue wasnt solved, inspite of the claims of the LG people...cos mine only develops frost on the lower half ((classic symptom of low refrigrant/leaking refrigrant)))..the cooling has gradually reduced over time..till now..it chills like a water dispenser...only manages to keep food if there is phcn, and gets warm quickly as soon as phcn goes.
i regret ever going near an LG Freezer, should have stuck to my tried and tested haier thermoccol, the extra 30w consumption iosnt that bad
i also returned a samsung freezer for same issue, ..b4 i settled on the LG. I would advise anyone who intends to buy freezer...to simply go to the shop..allow them run the freezer for 1hr plus...come back and chk the freezer...and ensure its chilling the whole top to bottom, dont buy any useless stories the sellers will spin, waranty ko, waranty ni.... Samsung rocks when it comes to durability and very low energy consumption. Especially the inverter models. |

NiyiOmoIyunade: This is why I am partial to products with local support available and also always keep a backup inverter on hand since I have severed my connection to the grid and have no generator assist.
If I had to buy and import a GK like you did, I would buy + replacement boards and other components. Always a good plan to have a backup inverter. |

ojeysky: Yes you can but I don't want to....I like to keep my usage within 90% and 10% DoD. Actually once your battery is below 3.12v per cell you would have already taken out over 80% of the juice in the battery. Ok. That makes sense. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 10:48am On Mar 12, 2020 |
ojeysky: There are 2 things here:
1. Low voltage protect of the BMS, if and when this happens the BMS shutdown power from going out of the battery hence your inverter won't even come on. The idea is for you not to get to that stage by doing point 2 below, but if it happens, the rest button or hoping that a high solar current will be sufficient to wake up the BMS are the options
2. Voltage cut-off by the inverter, if this happens then no issues as the inverter is what has stopped output hence your battery still have juice in it and will be ready to receive charge whenever it comes up. I recommend this and currently have mine set to 24v.... unfortunately that is the highest cut-off voltage that I can set on my inverter (and I think this is applicable to most inverters). You can hit up to 2.5v per cell with no issue ie 10v without issue if it's a 3.2v lifepo4 cell. |

SUPERPACK: I suspect murder or suicide here. How can a 5v USB electrocute a grown up human being, something I even put in my mouth. Even if the charger goes bad such wound looks out of it. Waiting for professionals to throw more light on the matter. It can kill. What you did not realise is the circumstances that it can kill you. For instance, do you know whether there was a thunderstorm while he was using the phone? If the house is not earthed or the electrical earth is bad, if there was lightning strike as he slept, it can kill him especially if the charger is faulty or failing. This is the reason we are advised to ensure that our house have adequate thunder arrestor and good electrical earthing. |
