My own case took 1yr before it was resolved by one simple guy i spoke to on phone (call center). Just forgot to save his name, he told me he will follow up and he did. He even called me back to clarify some issues which i missed the call twice and he still called back. Before, the next day I got an email that my case is closed and resolved and that was excellent. Before then, I spoke to 20 different ladies who speaks waec english, some of them could not even identify the problem of referee and restriction. Went to the banking hall more than 10 times and after all the delay some one will tell me, they will look into it. This was not how gtb use to be...power changed hands and competence dropped. I know there are few who are still very competent but the lazy ones are bigger in number, most of them ladies. What randy boss brings to the table of labour.

microgiant:
@mecussey, you raised some salients points which people already in a frenzy are against.

Champion TV came and was broadcasting live matches - what happened?

DSTV have the EPL satellite broadcast rights over sub-sahara Africa, which includes Nigeria. The only way they can broadcast the Bein Sports channels is through IPTV, which DSTV cannot stop.

Remember CTL won DSTV in a rights infringement dispute, because they are broadcasting on Terrestrial which DSTV did not have exclusive right.

Decoder with 500gb HDD, dish with LNB, etc at 5K is not adding up

Also like you mentioned they need BUC for two way communication, except they want to use tooway technology where the request is made through a 2G/3G/4G and response received via satellite. Even this is still more than N3K in Europe where it is being used.

The trick in Nigeria is give people an appetizer and after they are hooked, unveil additional conditions (cost). It is a very common thing in Nigeria as there is no stringent consumer protection and wrong advert penalties as being obtained in better organised countries.

Almost all businesses (including MNC) operating in Nigeria indulge in shady practices. What the mobile networks are doing in Nigeria they cant try it in many countries without being penalized or even shutdown. In fact even penalties alone will shut them down. Is it not Nigeria where you pay to watch NTA (run by tax payers money) via satellite? In South Africa the SABCs are free to air, you cant charge monthly that's why you have to Openview service where people pay just for the decoders. There is a Free To View service and BBC is free on satellite to the British citizens living in Britain.

In my opinion, they may increase the monthly charge gradually over time, just like Startimes did.
Nigeria and awoof na 5 & 6 just like MMM, a new way of doing yahoo is about to evolve. Just promise heaven on earth 'appetizer', collect money run.

Like I stated, it is not legally right to beam beinsports MENA 1HD to 10HD to west Africa. If Tstv successfully do that, it will be taken down within one month. If there was any agreement what so ever, beinsports official web site will carry the advert. This is common sense na......I would like Tstv to provide us with enough data to watch beinsports, now thats obtainable.

They are not broadcasting anything yet on ABS. Whoever thinks these guys can beam bein 1 to 10 to west africa by satellite is a joker, the best they can do is bein MAX 1 to 10 (espana - no epl)

jnwankwo:
Another MMM Scam. Everybody beware.

These TSTV guys are actually reckless. I am really surprised that they brought the minister into this.
I believe that this is another MMM. Buyers beware. This is based on the following:
1. Bein sports acquired the EPL, Champions League and Laliga only for MENA (Middle East and North Africa). They do not have the right for Nigeria. DSTV owns the rights for Nigeria till 2019. You cannot give what you do not have. When a new service is launched, you have to wait for the next bidding round to have a shot at acquiring the rights. You cannot jump in the middle and start showing it. Things are not done that way in the PayTV world.

2.
A lot of channels listed like CNN, National Geographic, Discovery etc were acquired by DSTV on an exclusive basis for DTH in sub-saharan Africa by DSTV. Channels like Star Movies, MBC2, etc are only cleared for middle east and Asia. I really doubt that they have the rights to those channels. They may show it for one or two months before they are asked to take them off air.

3.
I check with a content aggregator on the cost per subscriber for these channels, assuming they can buy the rights, it came out the about 23 USD per month. That is excluding the sports channels. Based on today's naira exchange rate of 365 naira to a dollar, the cost is 8,395 Naira per subscriber. The content owners globally charge per month for their content. They do not charge per week or part of the month. The content owners dictate the terms. Nobody can pay 8395 Naira and charge 3000 Naira. Not possible.

4.
The cost of decoder package is as follows - decoder 25 USD, smartcard 4 USD, dish is 5 USD. Total is 34 USD (12410 naira). If we add shipping and clearing, you can get 15,000 Naira. To charge 5000 Naira for the package, you will need a lot of cheap money from bank to fund the decoder purchase. Buying 15,000 and selling 5000 sounds interesting to me.

5.
To do internet via satellite, you need VSAT equipment which is expensive compared to the dish/lnb you need to receive dstv. Minimum cost of vsat equipment should be not less than 50,000 Naira. If you use the traditional dish equipment, you can only receive. You cannot do internet with it. Unless TSTV will supply you 40,000 Naira vsat equipment for 5000 Naira.

6.
I went to lyngsat and checked the ABS 3A satellite, I did not see any information about any TSTV channels. Lyngsat is the database of all channels currently on satellite.

7.
When you launch a new DTH platform, you start with a test transmission. This allows you to work through some issues that might come up. It also gives people chance to see some of your channels to make sure they are real before committing their money. There is no test transmission from TSTV.

8. EFCC Fraud Charges
EFCC arrested this guy last year for fraud. Not credible.
http://motherhoodinstyle.net/2016/01/23/doctor-who-proposed-marriage-to-wifes-close-friend-4-months-after-her-death-dumped-after-hes-nabbed-by-efcc/

In conclusion, people should ask enough questions before investing their hard earned money. If it is too good to be true, it's probably is. Let this not be another MMM.
same as I think...

Why I think TSTV Heavenly promises are dead on arrival...

1) Offers are too good to be true...

Hardware ...

A DVB-S/S2 receiver with tuner, processor, ram, power supply unit, video filters/hdmi port, Rj45 port, PVR capability, wifi hotspot etc...all for 5khuh This means cost of production is about 10usd. Ask any company in China, this is not possible unless its been subsidized by govt or something else.

Channel lists...

Beinsports is owned by a company in the middle list and only have the right to broadcast EPL in the middle east and north africa by satellite. If they had wanted to cover Africa, its just a transfer of funds and bam...the beam is everywhere in Africa. Tstv promising to beam beinsports MENA to Africans is either piracy or fraud. The only legal means to bring beinsports to Africa is by IP but they already denied that 20gb is just VAS...i dey watch in 7D. They might succeed in beaming the beinsports MENA to Africa but will shut it down within few months.

Suddenly they got to offer data very cheap...what has Etisalat, MTN and Glo been doing. Does it mean they never knew how to get and offer data at a very cheap rate..huh?? Ok let us assume they know what others dont know...now, how to they want to offer these data to her customers..huh There are only three ways to share data...either by satellite, terrestrial or Cable alrighthuh

TSTV is a satellite provider, it means they plan to share this data by satellite, it then means the customer satellite dish must carry a BUC and LNB all for 5k with STB...huh? This is more than MMM. The other way to share the data is by terrestrial ...either by gprs or wifi..this then means there will be coverage problem and NBC must know where and how the broadcast station are...and we all know what NBC can do to frustrate a growing business in Nigeria...i rule that one out.

They are confusing Nigerians with HBB technology...Hybrid box is just multiple source input box...dvb-s/s2/t/t2/c and IP there is nothing new here. If there was something new...this technology could have been everywhere in the world and no one will care to pay for cable or satellite TV. I have plenty things to say here but let me stop here, will come back to add more...

Conclusion,

I am not trying to be pessimsitic about TSTV but everything look vague to me. Why choose a brand name close to DSTV and a color code close to multichoicehuh

Why make all these noise and lunch without any goods to sell?? I am certain TSTV is not prepared for this business and challenges that comes with it. Would it not had been better TSTV starts broadcast in June, stabilize and then lunch in Octoberhuh There is need to test your product properly before selling, even deadly nuclear weapons are been tested. well, I still keep my fingers crossed. Since Edo people can fly without airbus, and bakassi boys can resist live bullets without bullet proof, TSTV can still work without means.

The good news is here is 5k to me looks like spare money to an average Nigerian so, nothing to worry about. However, 5k multiplied by 100 million homes...huh In Akpan's voice...'guy this is money oo'

Subcription 3k with 20gb of data...huh If you know how much satellite frequency costs cost of TV programs well, everything is possible. I pray it works, it will revolutionarize the Tv industry. However, i would have preferred they started this company without noise. They would have recovered losses before enemies of progress arrives but the way it is...all this is too good to be true and with all this noise, expectations wil be to high and not obtainable.

This is why I called you a fraud a few years ago when this Health section was started, I left because of work and research opportunities, but you have continued spilling garbage, confusing the uninformed, and even endangering people's lives.

Garlic, onion, and pepper all dilate blood vessels and that is no secret, any of these will reduce blood pressure, cause blood to pool in end organs like the 3 corpora of the pen..nis-causing erection, naturally.

To recommend more than 2000 grams of ascorbic acid(Vit C) daily plus the amount consumed with food in orange, vegetables, milk, and milk products is criminal! God will not forgive you for this.
I don't know why you should delight in jeopardizing people's health? Is it for quick money, blog, or fame, or are you some sort of criminally minded anti-social?

For those who are not physicians, pharmacist, or nurses, this is a simple link to a World class information on Vit C.

http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/vitamin-c/faq-20058030

As a urologist, I know that kidney stones are mostly from South American natives, but recently I have encountered 3 young men from Nigeria who for some reason developed kidney stones. They were all taking supplements with too much vit C.

Given the lack good medical care in Nigeria, kidney stones are not what you ever want to have, because according report, and my patients, its like having child delivering pain everyday of your life until you either pass it, laser it out, or it kills you.
One of those young men was a relative of mine who was focused on his health, appearance and health, and was taking 500 mg vit C daily. He was advised to take this excess dose on daily basis by some unscrupulous gwogwo nishe sellers like you.

Moderator, please take note. N/L should not be a place where people come to get information that will kill them.
Your observation is good but your advice is not in order. Are you saying vitC is not good for health or are saying taking garlic is not good or rhe combo is not advisable. All I know is exces of everything is bad. Pls confirm that the combo op recommended wil reduce bp if taken moderatly

But people should know that Dstv is only exclusive to SkySports studio, .. Tstv is delivering other channels which are eligible to show all matches..this makes dem strong competitors against dstv.. These channels on basic can be gotten on internet TV just as sky sports... Supersport only just shows us selected content from sky sports..
