When I passed the area some minutes past one, it was more of POLICEMEN CORDONING OFF THE ROAD, MOBILIZING (I counted eight fully loaded hilux vans of policemen driving towards the area), PEOPLE SCAMPERING FOR SAFETY(one coaster bus that was caught between the cordoned area was abandoned as the occupants made use of their legs), POLICEMEN SHOOTING TEAR GAS AT TGE SHIITES AND GUNS INTO THE AIR..

I was driving from maitama towards the eagle square and was at the traffic light in front of head of service building when the police started mobilizing and people running. We were stuck in traffic for a while while people turned into EMERGENCY JAMES BOND and started reversing, diverting, dodging etc so I had about 5 minutes to observe before I u-turned and followed the VILLA GATE road. As at that time, it was confined to the front of eagle square.

I HONESTLY did not see ANY policeman taking cover(in case they were receiving fire)or firing into the crowd(as if they were returning fire) so I wouldn't call it a GUNFIGHT.... It was more like.... Policemen dispersing STUBBORN PROTESTERS.

If the situation got worse after I left the area, I DON'T KNOW, But rest assured, it won't be a GUNFIGHT.

I bet you, it will be commissioned by the vice premier.
