queensmith:
Hold off the introduction, dont marry a woman your not sure of. your family will understand, what matters is your long term happiness.
your fiance does sound like shes up to something, esp since she had a problem updating your relationship on fb, sometimes little things are the signs that there may be a big problem.
What broke my heart was when she removed my name from the updated status on facebook and she claims we should not announce it yet till married. She prefers the status of ''in a relationship'' alone.
Someone who will be ready to talk to me till midnight but now when we talk for three minutes, She asks how Iam and how was work today? The next thing she says, she wants to go and sleep.
Romance › Few Months To Our Introduction And I Fear She Is Cheating On Me by Meldrick(op): 4:09pm On Jan 07, 2011
I though I was good at handling relationships but I am at a crossroads.
Last month I went with some friends to see my fiancee's family and we fixed a formal introduction for March but sincerely I have observed changes in her behaviour.
Her calls are highly irregular.
She normally likes me sending her text message at night before she sleeps but she no longer requests for it.
She never leaves a text message on her phone after reading, recently I saw a text message on her phone'' I told you all night love and I'll say it any day''. I cannot wait to see you love''.
After reading this, I went mad to the extent that I confronted her and she told me he is asking her out. She says text message sof such are bound to come on her phone since she is a lady. She was surprised that the message was in her phone. Iam sure she forgot to delete it.
Recently I updated out relationship status on facebook and I informed her. She hurriedly removed my name and left it at" in a relationship''. She keeps telling me Iam accusing her wrongly. I told her it was over and she kept begging. My pain is that she is the first lady I have introduced to my family and both families have agreed the date for our introduction.

I observed whenever she calls me and shows a caring act, she is ready to demand. My people, I don tire. Iam in fix because I have never caught her red handed but these signs are scary.

Pls advise.

It hurts me a lot when ladies complain of assisting their BF financially. @poster i have a question to ask you, i know this is not your first relationship right? , in your former relationship i guess your BF must have supported you greatly and i begin to wonder why you did not come here to report to us if it was wrong him helping you financially or not.

The next time you will bring up silly topic then the spirit of the financial help you had from any man will hurt you greatly.

Have you ever been close to a NEPA STAFF? They live like people working in SHELL or CHEVRON. I doubt if the Nigerian Police is as corrupt as NEPA. Good move from President Jonathan.
I guess ATIKU would have also made the same move but for selfish interest. He sure would have bought it as his company like he was doing when he had the opportunity to chair BPE.

Under 18 or not is not my issue. I will only stop checking her phone when I find out she is matured enough to take care of herself. If she is in the University, I'll give her a break not when my daughter is still in Secondary school or hasn't passed her JAMB and she is talking about privacy. hehehe I'll give her six hot lashes of the cane oh her buttocks so she can focus on what is important.

When those female corpers go to the field in the night in search of network, you hardly see them until when they come out with a male counterpart. Ask them," Where have you been? I was looking out for you''. The response is,''I was searching for network''. That was the order in my camp back then.

the true of the matter is women are 70% while men are 30%.The reason is that women are selfish in the sense that they want men to sacrifice everything to them, love, money, etc and when he fail just one day they grow angry and started behaving funny which can lead to broken relationship.
hahaha!!!! another one. Have you not heard the saying Honey na Money, Money na Honey. Marriage today is for better for best. Once challenges come, you are on your own.
Family › Re: Who Is To Blame For Broken Marriages, Man Or Woman? by Meldrick(m): 3:35pm On Dec 30, 2010
pro01:
The leading cause of broken marriages (especially in Naija) is that far too many women want to wear trousers these days. We all know who the head of the house used to be during time of our parents and grandparents. But these days too much education, media influence, career development, and all sorts of negative exposure have increased feminist tendencies such that wives are now insufferably stubborn and unsubmissive. '50 - 50', 'equality' 'beside you, not behind you', etc. Those are the unpragmatic things they cling on to. Invariably, when a full-fledged man with a healthy ego marries a misguided woman with such mentality, it is only a matter of time before the marriage collapses.
Gbam!!!!
A very brilliant and correct observation.
The ladies all wanna be like those American female superstars who marry and divorce at will.

man that move 40 billa, I hope you'll have an explanation for that afterwards as usual.
Your comment is anticipated because you really know nothing about politics. In politics you have to employ diplomacy and strike when your opponent least expects. GEJ is a smart politician. Never let your enemy anticipate your move and do not allow people push you to strike at their own time.
Politics › Re: Breaking News! Pdp Defeats Acn In Lagos Bye-election by Meldrick(m): 11:16am On Dec 30, 2010
Spot on! Sometimes I wonder why people forget so easily the kind of person that man is.

PDP may not be a good party, but the ACN is surely not better. ACN leader; Tinubu is only a pretender. Even the party itself is comprised of questionable, disgruntled and out-of-favour politicians from the PDP like Tom Ikimi, Ibikunle Amosu etc. The recent congress of the ACN in Lagos ended in a row because some members protested Tinubu's alleged imposition of candidates on the party. Tinubu as a person does not fancy primary elections simply because he never emerged as a candidate through one. In 1999, Funsho Williams defeated him in the AD guber primaries but the Adesanyas of this world foisted him on the party as a compensation for his alleged support for NADECO with proceeds of his illicit drug trades. Again, in 2003, he used the power of incubency to make sure the party disqualified all opposing candidates for him to emerge unopposed as the guber candidate. He later out-rigged Funsho Williams in the general elections. In 2007, he muscled out all opposing candidates to his protege - Fashola and made sure he emerged as the sole candidate of the party in a kangaroo primary.

Tinubu has never believed in internal democracy within a party; the same mistake the AD made in 2003 and lost out big time to the PDP (never mind the PDP rigged, because they - the AD/ACN also rigged). The PDP victory in Ikorodu might just be signalling the imminent implosion of the ACN in Lagos because a good number of their members are seriously aggrieved by Tinubu's dictatorship and the lack of fair play in choosing candidates for the party.

What is obvious in all these is that all the political parties are the same except for a few like the late Gani's NCP who are not bouyant enough to make any impact. The general trend is that when they are getting large, they prove unable to manage their big size because their undemocratic principles like the imposition of candidates, the idea of consensus candidates without primaries are not sustainable. The consequence is the the shameful cross-carpetting that we witness every now and then.

ACN's governance of Lagos State is very fragile. They need to do more in the interiors. We know that the ACN has a budget for buying the press and that is why many of the respected journalists and newspapers do not report the shameful state of bad roads in the remote part of the state.
What more can I say? You have said it all. That rogue called Tinubu is only interested in partying with Lagos State funds. ACN is worse than PDP.

Family › Re: Forcing My Mother-in-law To Leave My Home by Meldrick(m): 4:14pm On Dec 22, 2010
That's always the problem. When your house is too comfortable, relatives start flocking in. If you were living in an apartment designed for you, your wife and children, I wonder the space any mother in-law will fit in.

@ poster

Let us be honest. Your wife loves her mother more than you and that is if she still loves you. I cannot imagine been out of the house four a day and the woman I call my wife does not call to know where Iam or how Iam doing. In a scenario like that, I expect she is doing every thing to ensure I come home.
You are the head of that house and you have to take authority if not you will start washing the dishes and washing your mother in-laws clothes.
Invite any of your wife's elder brother or sister and talk to them on the situation. If there is no positive development, I suggest you take the bull by the horn and request she lives your house and if your wife decides to follow her she is free.

The problem with we Africans is that we pretend all is well when all is not really well.
