Guyman01: This was what Igbos tried for years to enlighten people in the Niger Delta about benefiting from their God given resources, but Lagos Ibadan media rather turned it around and spread the propaganda that Igbos were after the resources which Igbo land is also richly blessed with. Even under a Yoruba led govt, we can see that the injustices against the Niger Delta continues because these contracts would not have been awarded without presidential approval as Tinubu is the Minister of Petroleum. Over 35 people were burnt to death in a makeshift refinery in Rivers State and another hundred burnt beyond recognition after a petrol tanker fell due to bad roads. Then some few northern business men will sign multi billion contracts to maintain pipelines some of which doesn't even generate revenue while the Airforce will be dropping bombs on people working on makeshift refineries and adding to the environmental pollution in the process.
After siphoning Billions of dollars from Petroleum subsidy for years another avenue has been created for the Northern elites to keep siphoning the Niger Delta resources while illegal mining continues unabated in many Northern states to a point that Emefiele a son of Niger Delta was forced to buy Zamfara gold on behalf of Federal Government as CBN governor "before Ojuku declared the republic of biafra in may 1967 Isaac Adaka Boro an Ijaw man had declared the Niger delta republic in february 1966. Boro had formed the niger delta volunteer force an armed militia with members consisting mainly of his fellow ethnic group declared the niger delta republic on february 23 1966 and fought nigeria's federal forces for 12 days but they were eventually defeated and then jailed by the Ironsi federal military government [and Ojuku eastern governor] for treason" But it was Gowon from Kanke Local Government Area in Plateau State that later set Boro free and Boro later became a major in the Nigeria army and helped to tame the Biafra army. #COPIED. |

They are right. There is too much Northern domination in contracts awarded by the FG.
All the juicy contracts are mostly awarded to people of Northern extraction, which they eventually did haphazardly, or even left undone.
Maybe Tinubu government will correct this lopsidedness. |

viodemus: I don't think it is a wise timing. The referendum will loose.
land reform, more cooperation among states, economic, security, and advanced leadership are lacking. These are things that the national hijackers cannot totally shape, unless we let them. The great region is not coordinated in these aspects. Advanced coordination I mean. These ideas and more, can be coordinated and implemented, even in the United Nigeria time, but it is not. The great region has been mentally and strategically weakened for a long time. It is not a shout and cry out thing. Fight for fairness, requires work internally and externally, not too expensive, but more so creative and intellectually implemented.
Take advantage of the fake friendship that the national hijackers, are using to gather strength from foreigners. Affect the friendship. Make the foreigners see what the hijackers plans are, which is the milk down scheme. They are not with those foreigners but want their money, weapons, and a promise to look the other way, while they commit genocide. So, the great region and her allies, need to increase strategic work on the narrative.
The reality - those foreigners are in for their own benefit, they care less on your cause than you. But they will work with any ally that they see that has any hint of maturity - a current psychological state that the great region seem to currently be lacking at.
Since the tribalist isl*mics criminal has chosen hardened tribalism and hate increase, we need to win his evil intent. We need to work on and sharpen the narrative amongst ourselves, and those deceived allies. Since the tribalist criminal wants to form fake ally with those foreigners, we need to make them make him show loyalty, by making the french, americans, uk, israeli, and other possible allies, exclusively use a portion or half of Ebonyi airport as their airforce headquarters. Let their planning head quarters be in the east, afterall, that will be their most secure and less hostile areas, that they can plan from against the niger terrorism fight. Even when we know that colonization oppressive ideology is involved. The SE need to speedily learn and apply the art of tribal and regional strategy, and foreign alliance; knowing that the world as a whole is becoming more tribal and reshaping.
The north of Nigeria has shown that they have no plan for progress in over 50 years. They are very comfortable in just living and being a lifelong arab slaves.
The isl*mics Sw are all about keeping and intensifying the oppression, as long as they are not the ones in pain. A selfish ideology if you ask me.
So the igbos, need to up the ante of certain survival against all odds. Increase tribal cohesion, increase alliance strategy in Nigeria and outside, but more especially outside Nigeria- due to the ability to strengthen quickly against the hijackers genocidal intent.
Igbos should get better within, so that if they force us out, we will be in a good condition. What's this one ranting about? No coherence, no single sense, no possibility of achieving anything in his narrative. Waste of valuable time in writing this hateful and tribalistic epistle. |

Politics › Re: Rufai Oseni, Oladotun Hassan Argue On Air Over Tinubu’s Certificate (Video) by membranus: 1:44pm On Oct 05, 2023 |
BreconHills: You are being emotional. Unnecessarily so.
You say Tinubu forged the copy of the certificate presented to INEC. On what proof? The burden of proof rests upon the party making the assertion ( I am going to come back to this later below). It is not Tinubus responsibility to prove that he did not forge the certificate. It is Atikus responsibility to prove? Has he discharge that responsibility? No.
Let me tell you why.
Apart from the original certificate issued by the CSU, the school says that replacement certificates are issued by third party vendors and that secondly they are ceremonial in nature because the proof of university attendance is registry records and transcripts. The whole point of lodging certificates is to prove attendance and graduation. I digress. Let's go on.
Who are the third party vendors? Did Atiku prove that all third party vendors issuing replacement certificates did not issue PBAT with the certificate he filed with INEC? ( remember what I said above that the case is Atikus to prove not PBATs )
To do that he would have to obtain a list of accredited third party vendors and subpoena them to declare IF one BAT contracted them to provide a third party certificate. They would also need to say if the said certificate lodged by PBAT was produced by them. Atiku did not do this. As such he did not prove forgery.
Prima facie even if the SC were disposed to admit this evidence which it won't, then the court will hold the issue of forgery as not proven especially as the school has said that PBAT is an alumni and the CSU has cured by affidavit any disparity in the registry records.
Atikus and Obi's lawyers did not correctly advice him. Atiku has lost his case and that is why he is calling a press conference. In fact I believe the press conference and not the Presidency was his end game all along.
As for Obi well... As for Obi, that's a pitiable loser, and has no chance anymore of ever ruling this country. His horrible supporters has spoiled that opportunity for him. |

The only thing the next generation will question is the large dose of toxicity in the Nigerian political climate in our generation, largely fuelled by covetous desire to gain access to easy public funds.
No, the next generation will not bother themselves about a university degree which has been largely authenticated by every available means. A certificate which the owner has used to work for many years in some international companies.
This is a big shame to these vindictive characters hounding Tinubu up and down the globes to bring him down. This might not be unrelated to the oil subsidy removal and the foreign currency exchange unification.

Politics › Short Historical Facts About Nnamdi Azikwe And Olusegun Obasanjo by membranus(op): 6:38am On Oct 04, 2023 |
*BITTER HISTORICAL TRUTHS !!! WONDERS SHALL NEVER END!!!* It has been Revealed that :--->
1. Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe (Great Zik of Africa), 1st Civilian President of Nigeria (1960-66) * was actually an Ijawman, not an Igboman as was wrongly widely believed. * Zik hailed from Agbere (Western Ijaw) not Onitsha (Anambra State) and was born & named Benjamin Apams but he later changed his name to Nnamdi Azikiwe after he was fostered by his step father (Obed Azikiwe) * his late mother (staff of Royal Nuger Company -RNC) was from Nsukka (Enugu State) & his real father was one Late Lewis Apams, a RNC carpenter from Agbere, Western Ijaw Division (Delta State) * Zik was born out of wedlock/initially raised by the mother, who later married an Onitsha man called Obed Azikiwe, who then worked as British Lord Lugard's PA@ Zungeru, Northern Nigeria in 1914)and then adopted Zik as a foster son hence his later name, Nnamdi Azikiwe. * Zik was said to have maintained his paternal Ijaw links with his Late father (& half brothers) even after becoming Nigerian Peesident including - - inviting & hosting his father (Apams) to the then State House Marina Lagos, when he was President - attempted funding the building of a personal retirement home for himself (Zik)@Agbere before he died in 1996. This realization of his true Agbere/Ijaw roots (instead of Onitsha) must have influenced him (Zik) & his investments - (I) he never had any real investments@ Onitsha except one solitary storey building (ii) having grown up, educated & been branded an Igboman (by fostering), he tried to maintain his Igbo identity (to avoid a dual personality) but clearly 'distanced' himself from his Onitsha foster home * by investing and identifying instead with his maternal home@Nsukka viz. (a) cited his only university project@ Nsukka (University of Nigeria) (b) built his befitting country home, the Onuiyi Haven@ Nsukka instead of Onitsha (c) Onitsha people in reciprocity & realizing he was only an adopted (not fully) Onitsha son (not minding how highly prominent he became as Nigerian President), honored him with an Owelle chieftaincy title which was junior & inferior to the Ajie chieftaincy title they bestowed on Chief Ukpabi Asika, another prominent but full-blooded Onitsha son and former Administrator of East Central State of Nigeria.
2. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (General, Rtd), two time former Nigerian President - * was also not actually a Yorubaman from Abeokuta but - an Igboman from Onitsha * Like Zik, he was also born out of wedlock following an affair between his father (a Policeman) from the Royal Onyemelukwe family of Onitsha and a Yoruba woman (from Ake Abeokuta) * the parents later parted & never formally married - OBJ was solely raised by his mother. * his late father, Igwe Onyemekukwe later became the Obi of Onitsha and * Like Zik, OBJ later identified & closely maintained llinks with his half brothers & his Onitsha roots viz, (I) in 1967, he fished out and introduced Ukpabi Asika (from Onitsha), then a Masters degree student@ UI, Ibadan to Lt Col Gowon (then Head of State) for appointment as ECS Administrator before the Nigerian civil 1967-70. war (ii) even after Asika's death, his widow Chinyere Ukabi Asika & later her younger sibling, De Kema Chikwe both served for many years as Snr Special Assistant & Minister of Aviation in Pres. Obasanjo's cabinet in Abuja (iii) other Onitsha indigenes especially of Obi of Onitsha lineage held various senior govt & diplomatic positions during the OBJ presidency.

Tallesty1: The reason she is a single mother is irrelevant as far as I am concerned. Single mothers are great, don't get me wrong. Some of them are victims of men's heartlessness, others made careless mistakes, while some are just victims of one thing or another, but neither of these is any of my business. I can't date a single mom, talk more of marrying one.
I don't have the energy to prove that I am a better man. I don't have the emotional strength to withstand their manipulation. I don't have the finances to raise another man's child.
Some of these women with no valid source of income will fight for custody of the child just so they can use it to source funds. "I am a single mother please help me"
If her ex-partner is an issue, that is a problem for me because I will need to prove that I am better before she can be committed. If she was the problem in the relationship, then she is still a problem. Forget how nicely she treats you; being nice to you and being a nice person are not the same.
She will love the child from the previous relationship more than the ones she will have with you.
I just can't deal.
If I end up a single dad, then I want women to avoid me. I personally will avoid them until I have raised my kids into adulthood because a second wife will mistreat them once she starts having her own kids. She will turn the girl into her slave, and the boy will suffer and get killed if she has her way. You nailed it capitally. No more to add. |
