chrisosi:Blah Blah Blah. This doesnt mean that we cant honor people that excelled in one field or the other. The US govt just gave the Martin Luther King family over $800,000, plus a national monument, and we cant even complete Zik's burial structure, complete the Ibiam airport in time, or honor our Olympic medalist. |
A bunch of wanna be politicians in Yankee giving themselves heavy titles such as "Chairman of House of Delegates" . Lets see how much money they are going to give an Oyibo hotel to dine with Corrupt fools like Theo Orji. |
All I know is we can do better with those kits. May not necessarily decide if we win or lose, but since the 90's, our kits suck. |
Sounds more reasonable than his counterparts |
Those born from this age bracket have for the most part been the worst gen in their peoples history. |
Since 1999, Ohaneze has failed to uplift the aspirations of those they claim to represent. This is largely a result of many of its members and officers (Iwuanyanwu) being from the usual corrupt class of politicians with business interest. Isnt it quite pathetic that with all the prevaling problems abound not only in Abia state, but in Ogun, Borno, and Sub-Saharan Africa, self-acclaimed groups like Ohaneze are again talking about burial and reburial instead of ensuring the Enugu Airport is complete with favorable contracts from Airlines, or developing power plants that could provide light for people in the East. Where are the lobbying and pressure they could exalt on particularly APGA governors or those in Enugu and Rivers for such modern endeavors |
Fashola signs law against abandonment of pregnant women. On August 9, 2011 · In News By Olasunkanmi Akoni LAGOS — Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, signed a bill into law, which allows for the prosecution and jailing of any man who impregnates and deserts any woman. The bill presented to the governor by the state’s Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Mr. Ade Ipaye, at Government House, Ikeja, was among three other bills presented for the governor’s assent. Other bills include amendments to provisions of the Emergency Management Agency, EMA, Law and the Administration of Criminal Justice. Fashola, while assenting to the bills, said the various amendments to the laws were needed to tackle the problem of crime and delay in administration of justice in the state. He said the enactment of the laws represented the commitment of the state government to building strong institutions, that could tackle crime and corruption, which had crippled the country. He added that the country needed strong legislation to fight corruption and moral laxity. Fashola explained that the Criminal Code Law, used in the state before now was enacted in 1914 by the colonial masters, saying that such laws and their provisions had since become obsolete and could not address challenges posed by present realities. Kewl! |
This is absolute nonsense. How about deleting of states. Ibadan is the same as it were 10 years ago, no improvement. |
eGuerrilla:Don't mind them. Even pastors are being paraded as God's. Shame |
How about just advocating for Islam to carry go. Dayum |
Yes, it is extremely likely match will be postponed or cancelled. Police wont take any chances as they are currently over stretched. What a shame that these louts have caused so much destruction and mayhem. Already West Ham's game due for tonight has been confirmed as cancelled. England's friendly with Holland tomorrow at Wembley is at risk of being cancelled. FA to meet with Police later today so as to make a decision. On the other hand, i cannot understand why UK Police are not currently allowed to use tear gas, water canon or rubber bullet. Their softly softly approach hasnt yielded any result.
At least these "touts" are not cowardly like some of you guys. Look at us, two African countries playing against each other in England and someone is worried about West Hams game. LOL |
kpogede77:LOL!!!! And you wonder why Naija is pretty screwed up as a nation. FOOL |
Nonsense |
She said the right thing, and people need to get over it. We cant conform our ENTIRE way of life to that of the West |
Those who want Nigeria to progress should checkmate Islam in Nigeria. We know that all those so called doomsday pastors who ordained themselves are contributing to the complacent mindset the people have, but the Northerners who are designing their clothing to imitate the Arabs are REALLY causing Nigeria to remain AFrica's #1 Security threat. I mean, are you with the Africans or the errand boys of the Arabs? |
all4naija:True, but in my post I said in NIGERIA |
Wow, instead of going after IBB, Arther Nzeribe, Gbenga Daniels, Ibori, Danjuma, Theo Orji, they go after those just taking the orders, |
silverstud:Creating a Ministry for Religion and Northern Development lol |
I guess we have low expectations as a people, or rather, our militarized experience has allowed for us to see our abilities as being inferior to others. In other words, only Abuja can be considered the best place (state/city/part) in Nigeria. Calabar, Enugu, or Ekiti state cannot boast of being world class, no int'l airport, no highway system, no major attraction, no constant power, etc. |
ayex0001:Based on what? Complacency I tell you. |
buzugee:What makes it "highly irrelevant". I simply want to say that you are and remain a fool BRUH Learn to focus my nyash |
Aba is going to just be fine. Afterall, they have Theo Orji as their governor, and who knows, PDP may make him the Igbo candidate in 2015. And if for some reason he still cant perform since being selected as governor way back in 2007, then surely the all PDP returnees in state assembly will turn Aba into Africa's first class city. If that doesnt work, we got the entire PDP legislators in Abuja that all "won" their re-election, and they already promised international airport and dry ports from 2003 till now!!! |
buzugee:Well bruh maybe you ought to try church for a change bruh. You may actually like it instead of your attempt to use this thread to promote Yaweh bullshyt bruh. ![]() You want Nigeria to ally with Russia and China bruh yet its okay that the people of Nigeria do not ally among themselves bruh. ![]() I think Yaweh would not be happy if his followers are not thinking with their brain bruh |
Going over most una post, I've seen a few descent points, particularly from Alj harem. Tinapa obviously was built, designed, and intended for richer folks of Nigerian extraction, both in Nigeria, and those based abroad, along with foreigners who-of course- had money to travel. This leads us to some conclusions. Rich folks based in Nigeria are not reaaaally going to travel to Tinapa when they could simply travel to London, Dallas, or Dubai. And those that do travel around Nigeria, chances are they will travel to Lagos and Abuja first and foremeost, to do their shopping, site-seeing, etc. Those Nigerians that travel from US or England, guess where they are landing- Lagos. (Some Abuja, others PH). If na Igbo, they are prob going to travel to their home state, and at the most, state capital or town in their state. If na Yoruba, they prob will do the same, and if they are Northern, prob go to their own state. Many Naija folks based abroad that travel home often dont have that extra time to travel to states outside their region/home state, especially for site-seeing. Foreigners may travel to Calabar, but often travel to the happening places in a country. So, without an Int'l airport, finalization of the port, and the fact that Tinapa was not built in a majority ethnic/populous area (Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta,Owerri, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Onitsha), chances of it being a flop were stacked. |
buzugee:Based on your post and choice of words you are either: high today and smoking some cheap weed or you are in church and someone must have been preaching some things to you. How do the people of "Nigeria" ally among themselves? Could you kindly gist us on that bruh |
afam4eva:LOL. Thought it started in 1966? |
Can someone tell me why the states are even "nominating" ministers for a president elected by the people of a country? |
buzugee:Honestly, I'll try not to attack your post too badly, because afterall, it's Sunday, and the weather is nice. You see, what's so bad about an invasion? Yes, if England resends another Lord Lugard and wife, then we may not answer Nigga Area and carry on like bimbos, but this time, simply be assigned a number -419. In a sunny world, what you speak of makes lots of sense, but guess what? We haven't even had to brains to ally ourselves in Plateau or Abia States. We cant decide if we should be financially self-reliant, if bank accounts should have a minimum 25k, or flip over to ISLAMIC BANKING Meanwhile those big nations (and even small nations like Ghana, Botswana, and UAE) are where the big powers are scrambling for audience, wanting to go for World Cup, shopping, movie making, and investment. |
Do we also "NEED" them to recolonize us? If not, of what use are we to them except for the black gold? Get your act together first. |
Yoruba people very accomodating as already stated, and their culture and region is somewhat the closest to national culture that Naija prob will ever have. Just about everyone has to go through them or their region where there's some world -class structures before trotting to their own wreckless state. Yoruba people never allow outsiders to play them, to dictate who their leaders are going to be in government houses of Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo, etc. or in nat'l assembly, and though many of their politicians steal as well, they generally put Yoruba interest above religion, subtribal zoning nonsense, etc. Bini people are very crafty, clever, and even quiet. See how they have quietly developed Benin City with World Class Hotels and structures and are doing very well in places like Canada and the U.S., without too much NOISE. |
