A very daft and dull talk...
Since when is the economy in lagos world class?
How many jobs has the state govt provided as a palative?

Punishing people for nothing
Listen to yourself.

Daft.
Dull.
Palliative.

Do you know the meaning of those words you used?

There is no city in the world that didn't trample on some people on its way to world class status.

Do you find people hawking on the streets of London, Paris, New York, Beijing etc?

It's obvious your knowledge of history starts and ends on Nairaland.

chai!see where we have found ourselves!

Hollup!Did I hear there's a ban on street hawking in Lagos?Yet the number of Agege bread hawkers who are predominantly from the SW are on the increase - unhindered. It's obvious the state govt had a particular tribe in mind when they came up with the ban.
But isn't it obvious that the more the North and SW gather to bring this tribe down, the more they thrive;the more they flourish;the more they prosper!Well, all I will say is: "who God has blessed,no man can curse!"
Why are you giving a tribal tone to banning of street hawking?

Is there any world class city, worthy of the name, where street hawking is a way of life?

There is always a price to pay to advance...

Dysfunctional is a polite way of saying ones family is cursed.

Go back, ask and help your parents to research the root cause of the problems and find solutions to it, else expect the cycle to repeat if/when you marry, albeit compounded.

May the Light guide you to the solution.

the rot in Nigeria banks is shocking.

again, CBN has failed in its regulatory duties.

when was the last audit carried out by CBN? who are their external auditors?

what about their annual accounts? why was it not probed before now to identify the bad loans, defaulters and also the recipients of these loans? who approved these loans? were these loans released in batches without any oversight to ensure that previous funds have been well utilised or just one transfer? what about the collateral for these loans?

who in CBN authorised the mergers/acquisitions? was'nt due dilligence carried out at the time to confirm if skye bank was indeed a suitable 'buyer'

too many questions. . . . just too many failings. . . . .heads should roll over this lipsrsealed
Na wa to your questions, when regulatory agencies in Nigeria are still DOS command prompting, how dem wan take detect malware attack on time?

Good.

President Buhari, please when you finish with the Banking Sector, try to visit the oil Sector too to sanitize it. People are gradually seeing the reason why they are fighting you now.

The Nigerian Elite are the ones killing this Country. Can you imagine how many Billions is in the hands of a tiny few?and people wonder why our economy is so messed up? and once again, Goodluck Jonathan's name has come up in this story too, why is anything associated with that man an automatic and catastrophic failure?

I am sure if Jonathan had won the election, this fraud would not have been reported.

Back to the question. This Billions in the hands of these Bankers, who owns them?i am assuming all the monies belong to people banking with Skye bank. And if so, should these guys not be arrested?resigning is one thing, returning back the customers money is another thing. A very serious Financial Crime has just been committed at this Skye Bank.
No mention crime was committed or should be investigated and dealt with, that would be witch hunting, and "they" would come for you.
grin

And they said our economy was growing, on sleaze, I guess?

Cool but they will device a new way of forcing victims to withdraw for them. The best solution is to build a reliable police institution. We need to build institution and not men.

Few months ago a man's picture was shared on twitter taking money from the victim's account. That was the last we heard, same guy was part of the one chance syndicate that attacked me last year. The team has been operating for the past two years along ikorodu road and apapa-oshodi axis yet no concrete response from the police. We need a vibrant police and not this "jeun jeun boys.
I no fit laugh, the sound of it cracks me up.

FamilyRe: Why Do Nigerian Ladies Grow Out Of Shape When Married? by menxer:
Typical Nigerian mentality, instead of seeing excessive weight gain, whether as a result of child birthing or over feeding, for what it is: a health risk and excuse for philandering, we are shifting blame.

Okay, because Oga has pot-belly, Madam must go out of shape?

I for one don't like, don't have and won't have/keep, or live a lifestyle that engenders a pot-belly.

I always encourage my Lady to watch her diet, exercise a little and stay in shape. it's a given she would add weight during child birth, but I would surely ginger her to shed the excess fat afterwards.

FamilyRe: Relatives Turning Us Into Their World Bank by menxer: 6:49am On Jun 28, 2016
To do good is good but should not take away your joy in the process.

Send the child to a boarding school, that way you would achieve two things at once: minimize her destructiveness in your house and still take care of her education.
And during holidays, let her spend some time with her parents also.

Some relations are like blood in the mouth, whether to swallow or spit it out, you cannot know which is best.

I'm not asking for pity. I've made a decision, justified it and no one seems to want to accept ir respect that.
Do you think that guy is still grieving over you?

Asking for pity is telling the world how long you have carried the pieces of a broken relationship.

I respect your decision to live in the bondage of carrying the burden of a past broken relationship.

foolinlove:
I don't care about getting guys attention, though. Because as I have said, ad nasuem, I met the guy I truly loved and he broke my heart. I still love him and cannot open up to anyone again.

Anyway, I'm not African, so maybe that would also explain my choice of name? Cultural difference plus being a fool in love with someone who don't love her.
After reading your comments, I felt sad that you held yourself down for so long in the name of "you loved him truly and he broke your heart into a thousand pieces," that is a pathetic reason to live your life by.

If you didn't know, you are here on earth to learn overcoming by/through the experiences in your life.
And so far from your confessions you are comfortable sitting by the well enjoying the pity till Jesus comes by, instead of raising your eyes, mind and heart above the mentality of brokenness to joy that is still locked in a piece of your broken heart.

There is a broken heart that a piece of yours would fit in and complete, look up, he is out there.
