tosinjay: Who's talking about Abraham being a Christian? And you claim to be one, wow. I see why we have so many doing and practicing all sorts that other sects then start grouping them with Christian. Abraham was father of faith, he believed in God and acted on what was needed at the time. One word i have for you seek the true God and get his enlightenment, please stop the mention. Am done saying all these that makes me feel awful. How can we be even having talk of such, am tempted to say are you even a human at all let alone claiming to be a Christian? Repent of such perversed mindset. That you "feel awful" talking about the ancient bible practices of the father of faith, hints at feeble mindedness burying its head in the sands of religiosity out of fear of what such talk portends to held Christian doctrines of today. Freedom from mental slavery is the hardest to achieve because having an inquisitive mindset may at times seem perverse. |

tosinjay: Am saying something very simple and blunt, you're ignorant of the bible. Would you just pick things from the bible and not apply adequate wisdom, haba? Forget it abeg I've already answered you before. Are you a Christian? hahahahhahahaha you are the one that failed to apply wisdom in your argument. Abraham lived how many thousands of years ago, do you think they reasoned the way we do today? BTW Abraham was not a "Christian," so his religious belief and practices would definitely differ from ours. Yes, i am a "Christian," depending on your definition. |

tosinjay: Ok, you said it. Your own dictionary but not God's. And where did you get the story about Ishmael from, no mumu wey you fit cook story give and im go chop am na, it's an abomination to marry your own sister, kilode? Ma wah ooo, so like you dey now you dey eye your mama sister pikin oo, if another story like the above occur again we know you already sounded it. You're talking about Egypt, well i don't know whatever your belief is but Egypt has nothing to do with Biblical morals. Except for the seed of Abraham all other nations in that time were abominable to God as they all served idols. Irrespective of your belief, you can't wish away the fact that Abraham married his father's daughter. That is from the Bible. And if Abraham, possessor of heaven and earth, did it, then it was a noble thing to do. @ bolded, If God blessed Abraham exceedingly for marrying his father's daughter, what then are you saying? |

tosinjay: Sorry what's your point? If you're a Christian you'll understand that historical issue of Abraham not able to marry from abominable tribe hence he had to marry his sister at the time. Are you saying the bible permits it now? No, my Dictionary permits it. That was the practice from the beginning of civilization, even before Egypt. As a prince in Egypt, you can't lay claim to the throne except your mother was a sister, half sister or cousin to the Pharaoh (your father). That was why Ishmael was denied inheritance because his mother was not a half sister or cousin to his father (Abraham). BTW, if other tribes were abominable, what happened to other families of his (Abraham) tribe with no close blood ties? |

Certain cultural Practices are archaic no doubt, but to all those trying to "regionalize" the marrying of ones cousins, step- and half siblings, know that it was a Biblical practice.
Hahahahahaha
I wish I can see the expression on the faces of some Christians.
In-cest was an "honoured" thing, for Abraham the great patriarch was a practitioner.

abbey621: The mistake a lot of you make is the assumption that obesity is caused just by physical factors, this is absolutely incorrect! Genetics and emotional imbalances are also factors. For an emotional eater, no amount of home remedies will work and for the obesity brought on by genetics, it could lead to a life of being miserable as such a person must spend their entire life staying away from the simple things we enjoy in life.E.g- try eating only vegetables or going vegan all your life in the Nigerian setting,no jollof, amala or even bread SMH. Do you know what you are talking about? Jollof? Amala? Bread? Those are plant based foods, not animal. You can replace Meat with soy chum.

Rexnegro: In Defence Of Deregulation: A Correlation Between The Price Of SIM Card And PMS I bought my SIM card with number 08033440773 for 30,000 NAIRA. I made calls 70/per minute, whether it was 25 seconds or 60 seconds. Then MTN held sway. Glo came. Econet came. Other Telecom companies came. All of a sudden, the price of SIM cards crashed to 3000 and 1000 NAIRA and then nothing! The telecom companies started begging us to pick up their SIM cards for free. And now, I don't even know what MTN charges for a minute's call again. It's something I take for granted. But in 2004, I always checked my account balance to see how many minute's call my airtime could sustain. I do not have that worry today. Competition in the sector has driven down the cost of everything. If my MTN line misbehaves, I buy airtime on my Glo network and make calls from there. There were times when MTN gave me bonuses whenever I had dropped their SIM for other networks just to woo me back. Occasionally, MTN will role incentives, promos and packages to reward my loyalty. Other telecom companies do the same. The endpoint is always to keep their customers happy and hooked to their brands and services. All that happened because President Obasanjo deregulated the sector. It appeared a crazy idea when he did it, in fact, the cost we borne was humungous. But all that has eased out to usher in an era of choice that comes with comparative ease today. If you support the government's deregulation of the petroleum sector, though initially things will be tough, but ultimately, it will bring happiness just as we experienced in the telecom sector. Have you ever imagined a situation where independent marketers will fall over their necks just to have you buy fuel in their stations? And then, you, the buyer, will make your yanga whether to buy in station A or B, if their price, quality and quantity is right. That time will come, and sooner than we expect. So let's endure the pain of deregulation to enjoy the gain that is sure to come. We cannot afford to continue enriching few pockets against million of Nigerians. There's no better time than these period. Support Deregulation in the downstream sector for the benefit of all. A carton of Orijin + 50 litres of PMS for you. |
