They'll never be held accountable and they wont even arrest anyone. I've actually wondered if what they've done could be considered criminal act... regardless, we can slap labels and throw charges at them, but like Politicians and top officers, they are well guarded and protected. First we need to have an investigation to get into the real truth and all those involved if this was intentional, trolling or accidental. We need judges that will rightly divide the truth and then justice will come. Don't even think it.
It would be ridiculous. The Evil children will never give up their leaders and they have the tribal leaders to make it stick. Everyone who signed on to this would look like fools.
On the other hand, psyops to convince the children of darkness that the Politicians and business people have lost the "Mandate of Heaven" might work... If u don't understand this because I don't want to get ban, when I called the actual people behind this, they're a tribe that celebrate crime culture.

Anyways

Kanuri people have the most dangerous juju in Nigeria followed by fulani, then Yoruba. Kanuri people literally make Buhari Wondered in the desert when he said fulani will going to rule over Kanuri,.. when he is military governor. they make Dan fodiyo wondered in the desert with his army for months he never conquered Kanuri people. Anyone wonders how Boko Haram got so much power. Just look at there politicians Modu sheriff, kashim, kingibe, Abba kyari, magu, even that police that arrested top criminals,.. kyari is Kanuri, Mele of NNPC, buratai COAS, ETC fear Kanuri people when it comes to this kind of stuff not ogun people not fulani
Na dis ya mouth go kill you. You talk too much. Ehhn! Wetin concern Yoruba with shrine in Zamfara?

NEWS2023: Nnamdi Kanu is Igbo’s greatest enemy – Ohanaeze alleges

Published 8 hours ago on April 7, 2020By Seun Opejobi

The apex Igbo socio-political organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has described Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as the greatest enemy of Igbo people in the last 200 years.

Ohanaeze’s Secretary General, Barr. Uche Okwukwu in a chat with DAILY POST claimed that Kanu collected money from enemies of Igbos to destroy the Southeast.

Okwukwu maintained that the actions of the IPOB leader was undermining the chances of the Southeast to produce the next Nigeria’s president.

He said: “This is a man that asked Igbo to destroy their Voters Registration Cards and not to vote. 48 hours to the election, he collected money from PDP and asked the people to vote; so what will they have used to vote?

“Kanu’s action undermines the interest of Ndigbo politically. He’s an enemy of the Igbo man. In any serious land and clime, they will catch him and flog him because he’s undermining our people.

“Today, you can see the votes that came out of Igbo land, three thousand votes from Abia; 600,000 votes from Anambra; 500,000 votes from Enugu; 300,000 votes from Ebonyi; 500, 000 votes from Imo. Is that the number of votes that will produce Igbo president?

“All the votes from the Southeast are not up to that of Jigawa and Katsina, so Nnamdi Kanu is commissioned to destroy the Igbo race. The enemies of Ndigbo gave him money to destroy us. He’s the greatest enemy of Ndigbo in the last 200 years. I equate him to a slave master.”

The Ohanaeze’s Secretary General lamented that the separatist’s continued insults on President Muhammadu Buhari was affecting the chances of the Southeast politically.

He claimed that Buhari will install a president in 2023 but Kanu’s action would hinder the chances of the Southeast coming out as next president.

He said: “I have said this time without number that APC will win the 2023 presidential election; you know and I also know that Buhari will install a president, you don’t need a prophet to tell you that in the next three years, Buhari will decide the next president of the country.

“So, Kanu’s continued insult on the president and shifting Igbo from the APC is weakening us. APC will install the president and Igbo people are not in the party. Igbos in APC are being insulted, they are insulting Ngige, Okorocha, Orji Uzor Kalu, meanwhile APC will produce the president, Buhari will install the President in 2023.

APC does not need Nnamdi Kanu to win election. They have won the presidential election twice without the votes of the South-South and South-East. Buhari became president without the vote of our people, he ran again without the vote of our people, so he will still install a president without our votes.”

Okwukwu also appealed to Buhari to give the presidency to the Southeast in the interest of fairness and equity.

“We are appealing to Buhari and APC that in the interest of equity and fairness to give the presidency to Igbo and to produce a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction. I don’t care where he comes from.

You are still uncivilized gregyboy, still very uncivilized!

There are rites performed at succession to thrones and the new king takes a sacred oath over the body of the predecessor. This oath seals the continuity of dynasty. Once the predecessor is put into ground his remains can never, and must never, again come out. Its a taboo to exhume a king. This is reason they are never buried in cemetry.

If you exhume the heads of kings their successors will perish.

Willett was told by your chiefs in Edo the tradition of sending the head of your Oba for burial in Ife. Willett went to Ife and corroborated the story. He asked to see the site and it was shown to him. He went about digging the sites looking for buried heads. What a foolish Englishman! Did he expect the people to break their taboos because an Englishman wanted to prove their account? The most absurd request!

The fact that both side corroborate same account should be enuff.

Your elders say its tradition in Benin, Ife say its tradition but your forest-roaming instinct wants a dig.

People are not reckless like you and Willett.

Portuguese said you are a lesser King to an authority belonging to a Greater KING in a foreign land. What says thou?

1486 João de Barros: Pre-Protuguese Christian influence in Benin - Ibid., 126-7

Among the many things which the King D. João learnt from the ambassador of the king of Benin, and also from João Afonso d'Aveiro, of what they had been told by the inhabitants of these regions, was that to the east of Beny at twenty moons' journeywhich according to their account, and the short journeys they make, would be about two hundred and fifty of our leaugesthere lived the most powerful monarch of these parts, who was called Ogané. Among the pagan chiefs of the territories of Beny he was held in as great veneration as is the Supreme Pontif with us. In accordance with a very ancient custom, the king of Beny, on ascending the throne, sends ambassadors to him with rich gifts to announce that by the decease of his predecessor he has succeeded to the kingdom of Beny, and to requesst confirmation. To signify his assent, the prince Ogané sends the king a staff and a headpiece of shining brass, fashioned like a Spanish helmet, in place of a crown and sceptre. He also sends a cross, likewise of brass, to be worn round the neck, a holy and religious emblem similar to that worn by the Knights of the Order of Saint John. Without these emblems the people do not recognize him as lawful ruler, nor can he call himself truly king. All the time this ambassador is at the court of Ogané, he never sees the prince, but only the curtains of silk behind which he sits, for he is regarded as sacred.

So if it’s a myth then it’s not true. Just like all your stories about Ife are all myths and false. Ife stories are like the stories of lost city of Atlantis, like Zeus and Odin, all myths.

I know you Yorubas are trying hard to change history to favour your race but history the way it is known and witnessed has already been told and documented. There’s nothing about Ife in real history.
Even the Portuguese and Dutch that you so much depend on for credits have written and said your king is a dependent to another greater power. Have you not read this before?

Your King gets authority elsewhere. I can show you in texts, and if you dont believe texts I can show you in pictures.

TAO11:
Actually they have a number of conflicting creation myths.

One of them --- with the title "Iso Norho" --- specifically mentions Ife as the center of the world from where Edo, Ijaw, and Igbo left to their present location.

It talks about pouring sand over the primordial water-filled earth, about chain from heaven, etc. very similar to the Yoruba creation myth.

I will cite reference to it soon.

Modified --- see below as promised:

"The myth of the pouring sky ("Iso Norho" )

The most popular surviving non-dynastic myth of a common Edo origin is that of Iso Norho, ... .It puts the emergence of the Benin and other -speaking people in a primordial centre, Uhe, a place where problems are heaped before Oghene --- the God of creation --- ... .Uhe is said to have been occupied by Olukumi ("Yoruba" ), Igbon ("Igbo" ) and Uzon ("Ijo" ).

The myth begins by naming Oghene ( God" ) as the father of Iso ("the Sky" ), Ason ("Night" ) and Avan ("Daylight" ). Out of the three children of Oghene, only the eldest son, Iso ("Sky" ), had children; Ame ("Water" ) and Oto ("Earth" ). The children of Oto were Igbon ("Igbo" ), Olukumi ("Yoruba "wink and Idu ("Edo "wink. ... .But Oghene did not want the children to suffer undue hardship. By means of a chain he poured sand on the flood water to form dry land for their inhabitants. Thus Uhe ("i.e. old Ife" ) was formed by divine ("Oghene's" ) providence. ...

Idu's children ("Akka, Efa, Emechi" ) had to migrate from Uhe to the present site of Benin City --- then called Ubinu --- where they displaced a group of original settlers, Ivbirinwineko ("dwarfs from the spirit world" ). Memories of these original settlers are preserved in Edo songs and folklore."

Everywhere we look, Benin, Edo took origin at Ife. Whether told by African or European, whether in folklore, myth, oral or written history there is consensus that Ife is the origin.

You have gone this far because Yoruba has been on defense and you have always attacked.

This topic is about Ife claim on your throne.

Stop beating around the bush. Stay focused.

Ooni says Yoruba own that territory, we colonized it.

I am saying Edo, Benin, Oba, Ogiso, Igodomigodo, and many more including Uselu....are names and identifiers that support Ooni's claim and superior to any other tale convovted from anywhere.

By telling us how great Benin was and your trade with Portuguese only highlights Yoruba Supremacy over you....and not your own self-greatness because what you highlight is property of Yoruba....not your indigeneous Oruh forest people.

Uselu (seat of Oranmiyan and Eweka) is Yoruba word.
Oba is Yoruba word.
Ogiso is Yoruba word.
Igodomigodo is Yoruba word.

You guys enjoy this free Benin history lessons. The guy can go to the other thread to educate himself on Benin/Yoruba history.

No need to populate this thread with already available information in a similar thread.

As the Benins have already shown in the other thread, the Benin/Ife history was manufactured sometimes after 1823. Before this time there are nothing about Benin/Ife relationship recorded in Benin history.

Europeans stated visiting and recording Benin history since the 1400s AD.

For the first four hundred years of European contact and recording of Benin history, there was nothing about Benin/Ife relationship written or can be found in the numerous European archives that still houses Benin history.

It was the early educated Yorubas with some historians of Benin/Yoruba heritages that stated infusing Yoruba into Benin history in other to create a united western Nigeria which eventually fell apart in 1963 after the mid west walked away due to Yoruba tribalism.

Apart from outright fabrications of evidence to support the new Benin/Ife revisionist history, the scholars went through the vast archives of Benin artworks and begin to ascribe Ife to Benin artworks that originally made references to others tribes such as the Nupe and Igala. Nupe and Igala people were replaced with Ife/Yoruba people.

Statements that were initially made about rulers of now middle belt of Nigeria were now ascribed and presented to be referring to the Ooni of Ife.

They came up with a burial site for Obas of Benin in Ife Orun Oba Ado which was excavated and no human bones found.

On the other thread, gregyboy did a very brilliant job of analysis by analysing one of the Benin artworks that TA011 provided as depicting Ife messager to Benin.

Gregyboy was able to compare the artworks with photos of modern day Nupe and Igala people and they match, the artwork bears no resemblance to photos of Ife/Yoruba people provided.

I already did a summary of this on that thread.

There were also piece of evidence like the cross the messager was wearing that can't be found anywhere in early Ife history.

If you juxtapose all these with other evidences that can still be seen in Benin and early Europeans writing of Benin Idah relationship, you will understand that the Yorubas people are trying to replace other tribes such as the Nupe and Igala in old Benin empire history with themselves.

That's not to say that Benin didn't have some sort of relationship with various different Yoruba tribes such as Owo, Akure, Ekiti, Lagos, etc.

Benin/Ife history is a fake, it was fabricated in the 19th century.

You guys shouldn't expect me to be saying much on this thread because this has already be dealt with in the other thread, anyone interested should go there and read.
You guys are spinning wheels like rats in a lab. You walk one mile and still in same spot. grin

You are highliting and giving supremacy to the spread of Yoruba, however much you tout Benin and Edo.

You must denounce Edo, Oba, Uselu, Ogiso, Igodomigodo as Yoruba lecxicon first and establish it is an indigeneous Oru tongue.

Next you must share your beginning in history....pre-dating contact with foreigners such as Ife, Portuguese, Britain....who were you?

Since I can smell your historical and scientific ignorance from thousands of miles away, no need engaging you at all. Continue in your ignorance.

In Japan, 1603-1867 is called the Edo period. A period of most stable peace and stability until then. In Japan names like Sayuki, Osasu, Osamu and others are common names.

In your logic, I should be on my way to claim Kyoto, Tokyo and indeed Japan as Benin territory. grin cheesy
Ohhh noo...!! grin

I cant believe you wont engage me on such a fundamental piece of history. I cant believe it!

Everything in your claim of independence and superiority is tied to Benin, Edo, Oba, Ogiso, Igodomigodo....none of which contain your native indigeneous tongue unquely defined in 'gh', "v", 'z'.

This is critical! Foreigners found your land and civilized it. Ooni of Ife is absolutely accurate that Benin is an extension of Yorubaland.

Dispute me with counter facts. grin

Wetin concer me with Japan? Why are you deflectinghuh

I believe in what science and research can teach us. Not wild speculation. For example Mecca and Vatican city are deserted. They are all waiting for science to find solution. All those miracle workers have gone quiet. I use this illustrate that science eventually trumps.
Therefore, anthropology and philology are areas that have been used to shed more light on how peoples of Africa relate. Recently genetics has been added.

None of these studies show any close tie between Benin and Yoruba. Both relate in same way as they relate to Igbo. All are Kwa Niger-Congo people. Diverging from the ancestral root long ago.

Benin and related Edoid people like Degema in Rivers, Urhobo, Isoko, Ekpeye, Epie in Bayelsa and so on are well known. Yoruboid group like Yoruba, Okun, Igbira and so on are known.

Same applies worldwide. Finnish people are related to Hungarians, not nearby Swedes or Norwegians.

But people prefer to wallow in ignorance sadly.
The name EDO is Yoruba language.
Uselu is Yoruba language.
Bini is Yoruba language.
Ogisos were the proxies of Ife, foreigners sent to rule the forest people.

Your native language has "gh", "v", "z" with vowelized words.

Why is Edo not in your indigeneous lexicon...or Oba, or Uselu, and many other words sorrounding your palace and his sacred shrines...like Olokun?

You are ruled by a foreigner, an Ife ancestral blood.

We have dealt with this
Please there's no point to another repeating the same thing

Those so called Cognates between Ancient Egyptian and Yoruba had been found to be words that don't exist in ancient Egyptian language
Point to the thread where this was "dealt with" and with conclusion of the unrelatedness.

When you are cornered with facts its always ...." We have dealth with this...."

Show us the methodology you applied to disprove these facts.

MelesZenawi:
There was panic on Saturday as youths of Mgbala Agwa in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State and soldiers clashed.

Our correspondent leant that the youth held hostage an operational vehicle of an oil company, Sterling, operating in the community.

The youth had alleged that the oil company had not respected the agreements it reached with the community.

They claimed that the oil firm had destroyed the roads in the community with its operations without repairing them.

An indigene of the community, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity said, “The youth blocked the operational vehicle belonging to the company, insisting that they won’t free it until the firm repaired the roads.

“The oil company called soldiers, who came to the scene and scared everybody with gunshots.”

A journalist, Don Uba, who was in the community when the soldiers were shooting, said most of the villagers ran into the bush.

He told our correspondent that he was speaking from a nearby bush that he ran into.

When contacted, the police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, told our correspondent that the disagreement had been settled.

Ikeokwu said the youth and the oil firm had agreed to meet in the office of the police area commander on a yet-to-be-fixed date to settle their differences.

He said that there was no casualty during the clash.
