Sequel to inauguration of Independent Campaign Groups (ICG) which comprises of 55 Directorates for Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat, The Director of Evaluation and Monitoring Directorate, Mr. Olumide Olayomi received in attendance and held a maiden meeting with members of the directorate to synergize and brainstorm on ideas towards the success and victory of the forthcoming 2023 general election.

The Candidate of the Young Democratic Party running for Federal House of Representative, Ekiti Central, Constituency 1, has assured the people of prosperity during his time as their representative if they vote him into office. He emphasized that there’s a glory ahead of his people in Ekiti State.

So, the pressmen asked him; “Where will your Reformation Agenda Start From?” And I answered; it will start with the mind and thinking of our people towards governance.

One of them also asked; “I noticed you are not moving around with any security agent knowing well there could be an attack from either opposition or thugs. The candidate of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) contesting for Federal House of Representatives Ekiti Federal Constituency 1; Olabode John Wesley has taken his campaign against vote buying to another level by releasing a bombshell today during one of his Ward2Ward campaigns in Ekiti State.

Reaching out to the Ebira community and youths at the Fayose Market in Ado Ekiti, he said to them categorically to always ask politicians the source of the money they share whenever they come to them and if they are unable to give a convincing answer, they should courageously sweep away their feet. He also mentioned that if they must sell their vote to any politician, the price tag should be at the sum of One Million Naira Per Vote! Which he assured the electorate that no politician will ever be able to do so per vote.

He expressed that it is the height of ridicule to allow politicians woo them with N500, N1,000, N3,000 and N5,000 respectively which in turn cannot last the electorate 48hours compared with another 4years of poverty and poor governance.

Nigeria’s Youngest Presidential Aspirant in the 2015 elections and now Federal House of Representatives Candidate ahead of the 2019 elections on the platform of the Young Democratic Party; Hon. Olabode John Wesley has called out on road users especially public transporters and private owners of vehicles to drive carefully on the highways this Yuletide season in order for their families to have the best of moment with them this season and beyond.

He said; “I’m never happy when I hear or read of accident reports on our highways particularly in such a season as this because, I find it difficult to come out of the thoughts on how their families will get to cope after news of accidents that most often claim lives. It is better to take greater precautions than be a victim of road rash. Hence, I’m plead with all Road users this season to be more careful as I as well believe that the FRSC and relevant agencies will be on ground to ensure safety.

In a bitter reaction to the Governors Forum resolution on the amount they consider convenient for them to pay as minimum wage, Hon. Olabode John Wesley running for Federal House of Representatives, Ekiti Central, Constituency 1 in Ekiti State expressed his unhappiness towards Governors disposition concerning increment in the minimum wage. He had this to say:

It beats my imagination how a group of Governors were able to conveniently open their mouth to declare N22,500 as what they can afford to pay against the resolution of N30,000 as demanded by the Nigerian Labour Congress. It is considered evil and and a submission from the pit of hell!

Nigeria is a nation blessed beyond any form of limitation and for no reason should her labourers suffer in the midst of plenty.
It will not be out of place to once again demand that all Governors should turn-in their security votes in solidarity to meet up with Labour demands since it is more difficult for them to harness their God given resources to generate revenue that will sustain the state and conveniently pay workers salaries.

I like to categorically state that should Labour give up on this struggle as against their demand from the Federal Government, there may never be another time to successfully win this course.

Speaking earlier today at the party secretariat in Ado Ekiti, after picking up his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form, Hon. Olabode John Wesley (MFR) expressed appreciation to his supporters for their continued motivation towards the actualization of his Mission For Reformation in the state.

MFR pledges to ensure he represents the people’s interest at the National Assembly against all odd and to stay committed to selfless service towards the people. “I will support and sponsor bills that will better the lives of the masses and will do everything possible to promote creativity and entrepreneurship within my Constituency which will better place the youths”. He said. He further thanked the party leaders and stakeholders for their support and believe in him. Students representatives present at the event, re-echoed their confidence in MFR and gave assurance of their faithful support.

We have come a long way through thick and thin living our lives just the way it looks at us straight in the face. It’s 58th year of National Cake sharing and political imbroglio from the pit of hell!

Many will gladly celebrate this day for nothing and many will ask the annual question of “what have we achieved as nation?” I’m glad that we have been able to sustain one great achievement for our dear nation Nigeria which is keeping us together to grow stronger in our poverty and lack of essentials for living. 2019 will be a significant electoral year in the history of Nigeria as power mongers have taken the Centre stage in order to jostle for the highest office in the land. Addressing the media earlier today in Lagos, Hon. Olabode John Wesley, vying for the Federal House of Representatives, Ekiti Central, Constituency 1 on the platform of the Young Democratic Party said it is essential for the electorates to guard their hearts jealously against future political promises heartbreak. He said 2019 will witness 3 major political arrows that will be fired by these power mongers at the electorates will be fired at in desperate move to occupy office. These 3 arrows are:

These power mongers will do everything possible to manipulate election results, steal the people’s mandate and also activate collisions amongst supporters.

They will explore the power of corruption at its peak, advertise money to the electorates in order to buy their votes at all cost, buy over candidates with people’s mandate and truncate the mission to achieve a credible, free and fair elections come 2019. The 2018 annual Udiroko traditional festival held Tuesday 21st of August at the palace of the Ewi Oba (Dr) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III with dignitaries from across the nation in attendance. In attendance also was Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose and entourage.

The event which had commenced couple of days before the grand finale of Tuesday featured varying activities of all kinds of traditional games which included display from warriors, traditionalists, Ndigbos, Idomas, Ebiras and prayers for the state which was capped with thanksgiving.

Speaking with pressmen at the event, Young Democratic Party House of Representative aspirant for Ekiti Central, Constituency 1, Olabode John Wesley MFR decried the state of recent killings in the state and urged the government to place more priority on the security of lives and property. He also said in the absence of security in the state, foreign investors will stay clear which will further dwindle the economy.

He spoke also on the increased rate of crime and unemployment in the state. He promised that when elected into office as Member House of Representatives, he will ensure youths are gainfully engaged to reduce idleness and crime in the state.

He congratulated the Kabiyesi and the entire people of Ado Ekiti on the success of this year’s Udiroko Festival and prayed the coming year will be greater.

He’s the son of Ojo Baba, from the lineage of Adetona, the grandson of Gbadura. He was born in Lagos into the family of Olabode as the Firstborn.

Wesley started his primary education at Command Children School, Ikeja Lagos, he proceeded to Immaculate Heart Comprehensive High School in Maryland for Junior Secondary School and Livingstone College for his Senior Secondary School. He furthered to Nigeria’s premiere University, University of Ibadan where he bagged his first degree in Language and Communication (English/Literature) in 2008 and then forged ahead to serve his fatherland.
Wesley has acquired varying certifications in Leadership and capacity building. As a University student, he was actively involved in Students Unionism on campus and at NANS level between 2004 - 2008 where he left indelible landmarks and unforgettable activist impacts. He was a Students Barrister (Solicitor) Senator, Majority Leader of the Parliament, President of Federation Of Ekiti State Students Union and Chairman Budgetary and Finance Commission to mention a few.

Work Life:
Olabode John Wesley began his work life with film making, and TV content productions coupled with being an Actor. In 2011, he joined Galaxy Television as a TV Presenter and Producer.
He later moved on to being an Associate Consultant at Glass House Entertainment LTD in 2013 and in 2015 rose to becoming the CEO of Landmark Productions; a company owned by him.

MFR is also an accomplished corporate compere and Public Speaker who has done so much in motivating young people and mentoring children in the act of Public Speaking.

John Wesley is the National Youth President of Nigerians United Against Corruption (NUAC), Advocate of the Masses, a Member of Lions Club, Pyramid Of Hearts (POH), and a Chief Executive of the Ekiti Collective Voice.

It is no longer news that Hon. John Wesley Olabode of the Young Democratic Party, running for Federal House of Representatives, Ekiti Central; Constituency One (1) have continued to gained attention of the youths and aged ones within the state.

In his recent meetings with stakeholders in his constituency, he assured the people of a refined and reformed representation when elected into office come 2019. He made it clear that there’s a lot to be done beyond mere representation at the National Assembly and he promised the people never to let them down like those they have voted for in the past. He further emphasized that he’s fully aware they will come to their doorsteps with stolen public funds to cajole them for votes... “Owo ki won ti ji ni won a gbe ha ka yin mo... hin gba owo ni lowo ri’an. Ajemonu ni ki n fi se. Because we will give them a run for their stolen monies. We will not for any reasons allow them steal the divine mandate which is meant to secure the present and future of our people. It is the highest level of brutality against the people when deprived of what’s theirs and afterwards turn them into beggars for what was rightfully theirs. Constituency allowance is meant to cater for the people and not for vote buying”. He said.

MFR as he’s popularly called and known by the People was at the graduation ceremony of some empowered youths over the weekend; where he also launched his campaign song which has really spread like wild fire in the state. The campaign song is a very danceable one. Hence, it attracts the people a lot.

Amidst the warming up towards July 14 Ekiti Gubernatorial elections, and endless political dramas hitting our big screen, someone has continued to bother over what the future holds for the Nigerian youths as he remains passionate about the future and an assurance for a Better tomorrow.

I caught up with John Wesley MFR, Member House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti Central Constituency 1 on the platform of the Young Democratic Party on his arrival at the state capital where he first visited one of the government schools to say hello to the students in his constituency and will be exercising his franchise at the Gubernatorial elections tomorrow.

He had this to say about the election and the future for Nigerian youths: “I look forward the emergence of a credible leader for Ekiti State after tomorrow’s election and that one credible person is from YDP. With that said; I remain troubled over what the future holds for my fellow youths. I have come to realize the power of money on the conscience of our present day youth, hence the need for an emancipation from mental slavery. If after the 2019 elections, a good number of youths are not voted into offices to represent the interest of the people, we will be a very long walk away from a secured future. It takes only youths of great courage no time in transforming their destinies. Like I have always mentioned to the youths at every of my lecture; it is not enough to get your PVC. It takes a whole lot more; which is standing firm to defend your vote against all odds because that’s what those who steal the votes and mandates do! 2019 should be a defining moment for the Nigerian youths in the Political space”. He said.

The Young Democratic Party, Ekiti state chapter dissociates itself and condemn in clear terms the purported coalition of YDP with some other political parties to form a coalition,
At an emergency meeting of the party's NEC held in Abuja on 3rd of March, 2018, subsequently followed by a press statement by our former national publicity secretary who resigned about a week ago only to champion a coalition, it was put to vote and a resounding NO on coalition echoed through the atmosphere, this was the last standing decision of YDP NEC!.

We condemn in clear terms the exchange of our collective integrity for monetary purposes, our party is built on the vision that would outlive each and everyone of us.
We are ready for elections starting with Ekiti state on July 14th and to every other elections in Nigeria as YDP, no single individual or group of people can make decisions on behalf of the party without upholding the tenets of our constitution, only a convention with the inclusion of NEC and BOT can absolutely decide.

We hereby enjoy all our members and admirers to remain calm as we shall not surrender our right to another round of slavery and oppression.

The recent killings and increased rate of deaths around the nation has left so many of Nigerians in despair and fear. Despite endless prayers from Christians and Muslims, it has appeared more of it is needed as the nation continues to languish in bloods of innocent lives being claimed on a daily basis. Hon. John Wesley Olabode (MFR) contesting for House of Representatives to represent Ekiti Central, Constituency 1 on the platform of the Young Democratic Party of Nigeria (YDP) has poured out his heart in prayers for Nigeria and for the families of those who are going through grief at the moment across the Nation. A prayer he shared via his Facebook page touched so many Nigerians who have expressed relief of their grief coming from his heartwarming prayers. In his own words via Facebook, he prayed thus:

“Father, we are pained and in despair as a people, our hearts are broken and pierced with griefs of loss of lives and loved ones in this nation. This new month I ask for your divine comfort and restoration of peace in every homes in this nation in the name of Jesus!

Heal our Land of every bloodshed and monstrous killings, calm every of our troubled sea and restore unto us strength for today and bright hopes for tomorrow... AMEN!”
