I think this is a naive opinion. You should't borrow to pay subsidy on Gasoline, wherein a significant proportion of it is exported to neighbouring countries. Nigeria has the lowest gas prices in West Africa and we are a smugglers paradise.
Soon the borrowing will be impossible without fiscal cut, very steep ones unlike those we have ever seen.

let the government do it's job and curtail smuggling. Honestly we the masses should not be made to take the fall for government wastes.

Many years ago, government was wasting money and doing nonsense until now they're broke, they want to remove subsidy without alternative. All of us were here when this administration promised one refinery a year and it has been eight years with nothing. The signed MoU on revamping old one when experienced people were saying it was better to build new ones.


Like I said, government should borrow and if they can not borrow again, let them cut their big salaries to pay subsidy until they provide alternative

Until uninterrupted power supply comes, subsidy should stay. Government should stop pushing its responsibilities to the masses. It's not like they already built enough local capabilities to serve us. They just want to pull the plug and allow the masses to adjust.


If they want to borrow to pay subsidy, they should. Every country pays subsidy on one item or another. Nigeria own won't be different

Cause I am trying to understand what they will do differently that they couldn't do under Buhari administration. Tinubu is no magician that will suddenly make these people become what they couldn't be in the last eight years.

Tomatoes one big baskets...it can take me 5months at dei dei tomatoes market.

Groundnut oil 20litres...six or seven months straight.

Red oil 20 litres...from my village direct.

Onion quarter bag ,some end up growing which dash out most times. At Deidei market.

Rice 3bags a year.

Beans,I buy bean at beans village in Nasarawa state.

Garri,I buy one bag that can last me 3 comfortable months. From my village.

After all these buying,I now spend so less and less.

Try this and reduce ur stress in life.
