In conclusion, it's a waste and will be an economic waste
But…… I want this kind of vanity I beg if he paid upfront, his family can commercialise it into AnB apartment |

BluntCrazeMan: If what you're seeking is bigger than money, then sacrifice that money. To hell with the money. it's really funny and worrisome that an Igbo man will say what you're saying about money. There's something fundamentally wrong with ipob guys. You guys glorify poverty and think it's all about "freedom" You can never be free if you don't have money. Until you lot realize that money is an integral part of human life and country and realize that the poor people don't determine the future of their own lives, you're not making any headway. You don't expect the rich to abandon their properties to form a new country and become poor with you. It doesn't happen anywhere and this won't be different. In an event Biafra comes, it will need money to develop skills and infrastructure and taxes. |

InvertedHammer: / Many tools are now Brushless and cordless. You charge the battery when there is light and you can take it to your site without worrying about power supply. Be it drill, angle grinder or cutting tools (saw). Most of my tools are cordless because of the power problem in Nigeria. I prefer Dewalt and Milwaukee. It is doable. There is a huge market for used tools. With the exception of minor wears and tears, they are in good working conditions.
/ did I hear you mention DeWalt and Milwaukee tools? These things cost as much as a kidney. My original Bosch grinding machine was stolen on site. Tried to get another one and it's #100,000. Like how do I afford that again. Got the first one on a promo price few years ago |

The world is reversed. Oyibo pay premium price for things done manually. We pay premium price for things done by machines. Why? Because our artisans do not pay attention to details. I watched a tutorial on sanding. They narrowed it down to the directions of standings and effects on the finished products. We lack such details and finesse.
Some of you make graduate employees envious with how much you make in a month. But instead of reinvesting the money to perfect your trade, only God knows what they do with the money. I suspect sugarbabes, marrying another wife or outright "dorime" in a nightclub.
By the way, the tools are relatively cheap. Not bragging, but with a tool that costs less than N200k, I can paint a house better than most of those claiming to be professional painters in Nigeria. Imagine painting a whole house by one person in about 3 days. / I don't know how long I have been in this business, but I have more tools than my boss. I'm investing heavily in tools but at the same time, it's difficult because of how expensive powering the tools |

The location is Ajah Lagos
Thanks

This is for people who think that those aluminum profiles are safe. If this thing can happen to iron pipes, just imagine what it would be like. My advice has been to use angle bars to frame your window burglaries and shock it into the wall. Hanging it together with the window frame isn't safe. This is picture of the attack on the defense academy. https://www.nairaland.com/6721173/bandits-broke-into-five-flats

I couldn’t believe they have that many portable used hands tool for sale there. Almost anything you need to fabricated what ever you need is there, just go there with your drawing and idea like the way it is 30 years ago, even better now get whatever you to fabricate or construct done. I'm in Nnewi and I come to Lagos sparingly. But then I will make enquires |

kopell: Please stop what long way, my brother if you don’t know seek knowledge many of these things are made right here in Nigeria. We argued some of these stuffs last year. Here we go again, just like tiles, pvc pipes, pop cement, W’c ceramic, Led lights switches, electrical distribution boxes, best of its all Nigeria electric cables still one of the best in the world till date. I can go on and on guys with many many more items designs and manufacture here. Stop being deceived with those Foreign labels here's the difference between the aforementioned goods and doors, while educated and rich people with exposure handle the former, you see making of iron doors, it's still left for crude, semi literate and unexposed people. Just the other day, someone came to my shop arguing it is better to use hand saw to cut pipes instead of angle grinder. I tried to tell him otherwise and he reminded me he started this job long before I knew it existed. Having said that, there was at least ₦500 price increase in price of materials I work with yesterday. Like every individual iron increased by at least ₦500. Some were as high as ₦700. I don't know where we go from here and what happens to quotes already submitted |

Let me open discussion with the guy and see what I can come up with. it will take more than materials to keep turkey doors off our market. From the tools, to the skills and branding. We still have a long way to go but this is a step in the right direction |
