How much will it cost the country to give a helping hand. Ur vucking government spend billions on useless fruitless trips abroad from tax payers purse.
The man is just asking for a little assistance
give them or give everyone in Nigeria. Everyone is suffering this bad government. Even the the elected are suffering it. Shey one of them lost his son recently.

These people have the opportunity of using their voice to call out the government to do better but no, they will wine and dine with them waiting for awards. How many came out during the endsars protests. They didn't but they want Nigerians who suffer same bad government to help them

Having said that,no one deserves special treatment

people need to take responsibility.

People like yobo is busy marrying new wife and doing girlfriend up and down. Tomorrow he will want to blackmail us that he played for Nigeria so we should help him.

Many ordinary Nigerians didn't get the money and exposure these people got but they made something for themselves.

Why is it that these people think Nigerians owe them?

For goodness sake, Nigeria owes all of us. We're struggling. While you're making money and fame, kindly invest heavily in your future. Sports is one of the jobs with shortest employment span

Very likely as a result wicked Witchcraft Manipulations and Projections. The World is filled with Wickedness.

This is why it is risk to Just Live anyhow. It is risk to be Live without a Solid connection with JESUS Christ.

yes they will make fun of you because we're not used to such things. Can you imagine that people brag about how they can weld without safety googles. Safety is the very last thing that is considered around here.

It's money first then money and money before more money.

1) They are sometimes onsite where there is no electricity yet. POP and bricklayers can't be carrying generators to site.

2) Once you buy solar equipment you never have to service or buy fuel. IMHO the cost savings is worth it for the level of lights and charging phone. When you get to powering even an inverter welding machine or heavy duty grinder then the investment level increases for sure.
I really do understand that renewable energy will pay for itself on the long run but it is still very expensive now.

Maybe in the future it will get cheaper and quality will increase

And that's the thing. It seems that most Nigerians are used to hardship because of the situation in the country. I'll give you an example.

My MaiGuard suddenly decided not to allow artisans to charge their phones in his house anymore. I didn't wade in as I chose my battles but simply provided an extension cord from my garage for them. I then showcased one of the solar products that I sell to the artisans. A solar powered UPS system for N55K. It'll give them 6 points of light, radio, 2 USB ports. You know he refused to purchase it? So yes the options are there but somehow folks are not taking advantage of it.

All my exterior lights are solar powered so my compound is lit from dusk to dawn. My personal decision as I planned my return to Nigeria was not to be dependent on government.
think about it. Paying 55,000 for that when a sumec firman generator is just 70,000 and can power a house and more appliances.

Right now, the maths and economics doesn't work for the alternatives

And when the gen require servicing, all your tools won’t work until you have your gen back up.

When you have offsite jobs, you’ll have to rent generator for something you can just do with a cordless tool.
here's what I did to fix such down time

I bought a brand new generator and have a backup generator too. I ensure I change the oil when it's due and I don't do roadside oil. I also do routine maintenance of the generator to avoid total breakdown
n3xt:
There are few things you can’t do without a generator.

Welding machine.

But no be all the time we dey weld. We spend more time cutting, grinding and drilling than we do welding.
And yes, the generator that will power the welding machine will power at least three grinding machine at same time comfortably. So you see it's almost of no use to me.
Greenarrow01:
Don't you have NEPA at home
They are right with cordless tools
Don't be to archaic.
Most times people have light all Through the night
Have a small setup for Charging like 3-4 extra batteries for your tools
Moving generator up and down is not it

Secondly the sound
I hate gen sound.
Thirdly. The 3k you spend on fuel and then the servicing
I have a mobile generator and a stationary one. Trust me I cutting stuff like H beam channel require good power. The generator noise is what I call occupational hazard. My ears have grown to deal with it

I’d advice you invest in cordless power tools and get 2 to 3 spare batteries.

You’d be glad you did.

_________

You can charge them up at home, clients’ site or anywhere you can get electricity.

By this you minimize downtimes.
how many times do I work at client site. To charge it at home, I will need NEPA again. But with the generator I have at workshop and daily diesel of 2000-3000, I can power all my tools and welding machine.

Is it possible for Nigerians to boycott their services by finding cheaper alternative means perhaps they will get sense,
boycott what?

Power is still in the exclusive list of the Federal government if I remember correctly. There's a number which a state government can generate and anything above that transferred to the national grid.

Having said that,if you think you want to go solar, it's very expensive. That's how someone advised me to go solar at my workshop. When he's done with his maths,it happened that I will need above 300,000 to power only the angle grinder. I laughed at him tire

I kuku know grin

It wasn’t funny when one of my client here ordered his furnitures abroad for multi-dwelling apartment only to pay almost half the cost to assemble here locally.
- 88 doors
- 12 kitchen

The worse part is that we had to build matching frames for it locally because they won’t ship the kind of frame we need in our local build.

_______

Another reason why I’m taken aback on foreign furnitures is because of the experience of another member of this thread who bought 40 doors from a friend in Turkey.
For reasons best known to him, the doors weren’t installed in 2 years

You need to see how terrible the doors has become when he was set to install them. Rodents love packaged furnitures here.

A visit to most of the furniture shops here will reveal a lot to you.
about foreign doors, you just wish the keys don't fail when you're still inside the room

the main reason why IKEA or any company will fail in Nigeria is lack of business template or should I say policy or structure

This govt will come
Make this policy, after two years the same govt will change that policy or another govt will come and make new rules
For example, why should anyone be paying money to any family just to buy land or build house. After all you paid for the land. And the money is going to a family, not govt.
And govt has allowed this to go on for as long as possible.
Imagine IKEA making delivery to your street. But they have to settle touts by your street gate, another set of touts will be by your house while they are offloading
Secondly
We have no action plan
Govt should have a plan of things that will be don in the next ten years.
On this issue of naira falling
We have no olan to either rescue the naira or do anything
Lastly
Anybody can come with bills and tax you
Anybody
Local govt. State. Individual
For my sch building
I pay local govt for dirt and refuse. Something I take care of myself without their help. A sch that is non for profit in a northern village
Trust me, if you don't pay wahala

You can't even sue govt to court. You will lose
Everything is just set up to make people fail everything
It's like a well calculated effort to keep people at the poverty level
let me sum it up for you. Nigeria is meant to frustrate you

trust me you're so wrong. The prices won't drop again. That's why I usually tell people that if you have the funds, buy everything that you can store. You will be saving a whole lot of money
