Amastermovic: More Steel work to your collection so now boss try add safety kit and improve the brand, You can start with booth Rocklander range of 4500. safety harness belt the half one, for few workers later full one , helmet in case of Bolt from up Etc
later I will explain some things i see lot of improvement in the bracing from the past 2 job u updated you are getting big now and I will soon be calling you a steel fabricator Boss good morning sir. Thanks for your advice and your concern. Of course I'm very much concerned about the safety of my workers and I will want to improve on that. The problem here is whether they will want to do same. Just like am here learning more and new ways to improve on my field, majority of my fellows wouldn't give change a chance. Their reason is simple,if it has been working why try to change it. So buying the kits isn't a problem but they using it. So trying to balance it out is kind of a tricky issue. Majority of my workers are already bosses when I started learning this skill under my boss. It's one thing to give them job and pay them. But trying to tell them how to be safe is something they can never accept. After all they have years of experience ahead of you. Innovation isn't part of their way of life |

KolaShangOne: I have a plastering story too..
About 4 years ago, i had two lead Masons on a duplex project. When we got to the plastering phase, in order to reward them for their hardworking, I proposed to give them the plastering as a contract.
So I paid them 100k as first advance and they started work. As soon as they finished the walls downstairs they asked for more money so I gave 250k more.
The main guy ran back to Lagos the next day and we never heard from him again. Till today.
I heard he bought a car, and moved his family to another location.
I had to endure losses and complete the project And now he has hardened you. I don't think you will try such promo again |

Juliusmalema: I am not defending anybody because it is not in my style to do so.
I only corrected the norm that one family occupied the senate without others occupying same seat. Infact different personalities have occupied same seat.
As for the Uga road, you are talking about, if Andy can't construct his immediate road while in seat then it speaks volumes of his incompetency and attitude. I went through that road recently. You will fear for your life. Another person is Stella Odua, she was the minister for aviation for years yet Enugu airport was grounded. I was recently in her senatorial district and the roads she's paving is less than what town unions are doing. For someone who is in the red chambers. As Igbo people, let's look inwards and find our faults. Just look at Enugu Onitsha express road, Federal government borrowed money to fix it with other roads in Nigeria, while work is ongoing on other parts of the country, the contractor handling this side is just playing. This rainy season, e go strong for us all. We have senators and ministers close to the seat of power but none of them is doing anything about it. Tomorrow they will go on TV and shout marginalization |
Politics › Re: Abaribe In Senate For 16 Years Without Building A Single Road by michlins(m): 10:07am On Apr 12, 2021 |
Juliusmalema: You Enugu people have serious problem. You will leave the dust in your eye and be trying to remove another.
Ike Ekweremmadu that is now a life bencher in senate is from where?
Finally no single family occupied the senate seat for any greater part of whatever nonsense you wrote there..
Chris Ubah was there
Ikechukwu Obiorah was there
CID Maduabum was there
Andy Ubah was there..
Ifeanyi Ubah is now there...And all nearly under different Political parties..
Now tell us the different senators from Enugu state if not same people since 1999..
You guys should learn to remove your eyes from what is not your business have you plied Nnewi okigwe road via uga. I barely care about Enugu cause in the next two to three years, I can spend less than a month. You see Anambra, I have spent my whole life here. But you go on and fight me. Shey all of us dey suffer incompetence. You're busy defending people who will sell you just to amass more wealth. Tomorrow you will blame Buhari after blaming Tinubu. But we go dey alright |

n3xt: At least for now, my recent designs are flat roofs. XL6 Trillion | Atrium House is a flat roof design without a roof top garden and tank slab. But there’s Atrium.
My new design studio is also a flat roof design with steel trusses and an atrium.
A maintenance free build is possible when you build right. ______ I recently shared that I’ve not had to repaint my building in almost a decade but I’ve repainted the fence almost 4 times. The difference is in the installation and not the quality of paint.
______ The same applies to my gate. I’ve had it installed almost a decade and I’ve not had to do any repairs on it despite the fact that my Neighbour has repaired his almost twice. The difference is in the installation and not in the quality of materials used. We both used same materials but I spent more on my installation. 26 bags of cement to install a gate is not a common install.
______ My 25ft tank tower is made with galvanized steel. It hasn’t failed despite the fact that I left it on bare floor/ground for several years (4 years plus) before install. I knew what I wanted and where to get exactly the type of material to achieve it.
When it comes to flat roofs, I’m very thorough and we give it almost all the attention it deserves.
You’ll agree a roof with any form of parapet will last longer and do better than a roof without one. Their major difference will be in their cost-to-install.
Just as a roof with 20ft kingpost will do a better job throwing out water than a flat roof. Their cost will never be the same.
You’ll have to invest something to achieve a completely maintenance free build - not just flat roof.
For me, I’d invest more time on achieving sustainable buildings through variety of alternative options available out there. about making tank stand with pipes. A client told me he wanted 4 by 2 channel because it's just a single 1000 gallon load. Few weeks later, he asked for 6 by 3 When I advise a client about choice of materials, it's simply because I don't want to get back to the site or have sleepless nights and have my name ruined

Well this didn't happen to me on site but it's a sad thing I saw yesterday while coming back from site. It was almost 10pm and if you know Anambra, it's almost a ghost town and hour coupled with the heavy rain. With driver speeding to get home,we came about around nnobi where we saw one dead man. The assumption was that he was carried and drowned by the flood caused by the rain. He was just on the middle of the road with numerous injuries and his clothes torn. The sight of him was so bad I wished I never saw him.
We go out there and come back daily. It's a privilege not a right. He could be anyone just trying to make it home under the rain and a misstep into the gutters and the flood took him up.
As we move out this week, I pray we come back same. Amen |
