dongc: alright man, i am not so far away from home at least i know whats up and how things works and unnecessary bureaucracy....again you are mentioning wrought iron up and down like its a thing for the plates ?are they not marketing galvanized steels sheets to you and call it wrought iron. those design are engraving or cuts not molds....enough said....
i do wish you well man i hope you get jobs here so to show case all those your fine designs....all the best and good luck...ciao I just got this picture from an iron dealer in Onitsha. The price of this go buy at least three doors and we're just talking about the pan alone oh. Let's say you decide to pair it with wrought pipe and frame it with at least 16mm pan because of the weight. At the back will be translucent glass or another pan. We're looking at upwards of 90,000. But one thing is that it will last longer than any foreign door you know about that costs less than 500,000

I don't sell these stuff, all I do is buy and work with them. To import the machines you talked about and get the mould making these designs no be small thing around here |

coldcandy: Oga, just paste the price on your product and negotiate the transportation to where ever. I remember you posting that you have not gotten any sales from this forum. That should tell you that your modus oparandus isnt working. Your location is already a minus. How do one transport one gate from nnewi to lagos or abuja? I don't know how to explain this thing to you oga. My work is per your requirement. Iron comes in different sizes and quality. What you want is different from what another person wants. There's 1mm to 5mm pan and same thing goes about pipes too. There's no way they can all be same prices. There are also different types of pipes from wrought to the usual ones we all use. These things affect the prices. If there's something I posted that you like, contact me and we will see how we can make it fall into your budget. I don't sell finished products like cars rather I buy raw materials to make them so I can't pretty much fix the price. Your choice is what determines my price. Thanks for your understanding. About the transport issue, my location maybe far from you but it's close to another person. Just like you say Nnewi is far from you, that's how I feel about you being far from me but one advantage I have is that Nnewi is a transport hub due to the Nkwo market. A door from here to Lagos is less than 3k and I know this, even with the addition of transport fare, it's cheaper than what they sell in places like Lagos and Ogun State. Why not contact me and we will work things out And about my job, it will definitely come. No rushing in this life |

During foundation, I left a tiny portion of that swamp water as I would want to culture it an make it a tiny fish pond just to watch the fishes swim because that was what I met when I bought the land. I saw tiny fish fingerlins, (I hope I got the name right) and frogs. Even monitor lizards. nature is the biggest work of art and the most beautiful too |
Crime › Re: Top 5 Mass Murders In Nigerian History (Gore ) by michlins(m): 9:44pm On Aug 22, 2020 |
TheSourcerer: It is why when we hear reports of mass murder, like Nikolas Cruz’ murder of 17 students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in the US state of Miami, we are often shocked.
It is so easy to overlook when one does not know that this is a reality that we have lived, albeit in a different form, in the past, and more recently that we would permit ourselves to admit.
Here are 5 of the deadliest mass killings in Nigerian history, for those who wish to remember that death has always been a part of our history.
1. Odi Massacre: (Death Toll: 43–2,500)
On November 20, 1999, soldiers of the Nigerian army clashed with local militias and civilians in Odi, a town with a predominantly Ijaw population, in Bayelsa State.
The clash came against the backdrop of ongoing conflicts by the people of the Niger-Delta and their rights to the proceeds of their region’s oil wealth.
In the weeks before, the conflict had taken on a fatal dimension; twelve members of the Nigerian police were murdered by a gang near Odi, seven on November 4 and the remainder in the following days.
To quell the conflict, soldiers were sent into the town. It is from here that the accounts of what happened swerve in different directions.
The locals claim that the soldiers came into the town and murdered the inhabitants, including hundreds of women and children.
The army claims that the soldiers were ambushed on their way to the town.
Either way, on entering the town, they became locked in a fierce gun battle with the resident militants. There are claims that the militants used civilians for cover.
When the army was finished, every building in the town, except the Anglican church and the local health centre, had been burned to the ground.
The government put the death toll at 43, claiming that eight soldiers had been killed. Nnimmo Bassey, Executive Director of Environmental Rights Action, claims that nearly 2500 civilians were killed
The massacre happened during the tenure of President Olusegun Obasanjo and till this day, the people of the South-South accuse him of ordering the raid.
The Odi massacre left a scar on the residents of that region, and it has been referenced in movies and songs by Timaya and African China. this is a sad one but it tells you what the military are capable of doing when on orders. Imagine that no single house was left standing in the whole town. That's very scary |

Focusmind: What you have there is what I have in mind. I am not a fan of covering the whole compound with concrete.
If I see way sef, I will grass the whole compound. Only the section where my car will park will be concrete. The walk way is going to be grass and concrete slabs at regular intervals of the walkway.
We are not used to green environment in Nigeria as we lack maintenance culture in Nigeria. People are here saying lack of time. What lack of time? Bring out 1hour on Saturday or Sunday and you will keep your lawn well mowed. I am also a core environmentalist.
Since I am on a kobo kobo budget, I have already planted coconut trees and other plants round the compound for them to be growing pending when there is money to continue with the building.
My fence is not plastered. I planted wall carpet grass and the grass have started covering the fence wall. My intention is that the whole wall will be covered green. Though it will take years to cover the whole fence. I am ready to use the long scissors to be trimming them down once in a while. I don't know your house but I will want to be an occupant. How you defined it dey totori me already |

EgunMogaji2: You’ll never have my business then. No biggie to you I’m sure. well actually it's a biggie to me that you don't even make enquires about my work. Negotiations are norms. Let's take for instance, my cost of working for someone around me isn't same for me working afar cause I will have to factor cost of transport and other things. The most important part is that you tell me what you can pay and if it's ok for me, I will do a diligent job which you will appreciate. The picture in question, you can choose for the legs to be 3" while another person will want something with 2". They can't be the same price sir |

n3xt: This is one area I have issues. I don’t know how to negotiate. Just give me most reasonable pricing and let me know if there are any other things that makes your job different.
Two of my close friends lost a bid on my ongoing project because of pricing. One wanted to do plastering for 1.8m and the person who got the job charged 800k.
Maybe me sha I don't about plastering business but when it comes to my work, you will have to negotiate. Someone might want same thing as you but with less customization and his choice of materials less. Meanwhile someone else will be willing to go all out to get the best. So how I run my business is to play out all the scenario and customization which are possible and then let you choose. But whatever thing you choose is EXACTLY what I will use |

Nigerians just like milking people dry. I learnt a sheet is done 40k and above here. hehehehehehehe. Demand is driving the prices crazy. Once there are more investors, two things are certain. The prices and quality will drop. The later is the biter pill the society will have to swallow |
