hello dear pls u need to b strong. I was once in ur shoes it took me almost 9yrs to graduate from a 5yr program. it wasn't funny. I carried ova some courses from 100 level to final year I kept writing them every year. u can imagine what that did to my cgpa. I finally escaped with a 3rd class but God who gives beauty for ashes restored me
I got a job during my 2nd extra year. d pay was low but the skills and experience I gained is what is feeding me today. after years of shame I can actually look back and laugh. my course mates can't believ that I'm actually practising. pls its beta to tell ur folks abt d spill than for them to see ur corpse I assure u its not worth it. uniilorin cannot break u. pls u can rise above this.
Everyone's path differs, the beautiful thing is that some of your "highflyer" classmates may be envying you right now...
except it's not the right thing to do as it might mean they're ignoring what God has placed in their own hands and are busy coveting another's.

Your's is actually one of the many "contrarian" stories..
Had a classmate then who even though spilled for two years, already had a whole training outfit running an aspect of the course.

Had another who was already shuttling btw the U.S n Nigeria, yet met him in Final year.

Maturity is why some of us didn't look down on them then...

If the guy comes to Nigeria to set up an engineering firm, half of the government people will ask for bribe, and the other half would frustrate him because he's not from their tribe or religion.

This is the greatest problem thats driving many investors ( weather Nigerians or foreigners)...
There's no single functioning iron ore mine in Nigeria, Bigotry, Nepotism and other elements of the "Nigerian Factor" strangled the only one that would've been. Even before it's birth.
So he won't have succeeded in Nigeria with that, the only assistance he can render us is in manpower training should the Govt. Ever get serious about harvesting the. Huge potentials in the iron and steel sector

However, given the that such rewards/gains (though staggering) take some time in showing up and our penchant for commissioning projects while we're in office to campaign, I do not see d FG doing anything concerning that area any time soon.

It's sad but that is what obtains for now....
Meanwhile, some indians, chinese etc. are currently shipping these ores out in droves and of course it's with the connivance of some 'sons of the soil'

you are desperately looking for some new heros rite?(economic, business, scientific, technological and academic)don't worry you hear. but do yourselves good and feed your life and stop living on someones else greatness to feel good and validate your insecurity.congrats to him anyway, good for him and his life and family but he is not putting food on my table neither is he affecting my life.
dayokanu:
^^ Thank you bros.

Some ppl obviously prefer the Nwude, Ade-Bendel, Anajemba, Morris ibekwe, Akindele "Ile-eru" type of heroes as long as they put food on their table

Its not Agbedes fault that you are hungry and need ppl to put food on your table, While young ppl of your age are reading his story and deriving motivation from it to succeed, these ones are yelling about who puts food on their table

Only a parasite like manchy would be looking for ppl to feed him, PARASITE
That is the whole story. Thief ole barawo. you would rather
appreciate ppl who make fortunes from crooked means
even if its killing ppl, swindling, rituals etc.
No wonder your heroes are Anajemba, Ade-Bendel,
Oyenusi, osisikankwu, Anini, Alams, Ibori as long as they
contribute to the economy.
What a useless life. Imagine someone coming on the web to
say he would rather appreciate criminals as long as they
contribute
Maybe when your direct family is swindled by Anajemba,
Ade bendel, Tobechukwu Uba and Nwude, kidnapped by
Osisikankwu, Robbed by Oyenusi and Anini, murdered and
eaten by Clifford orji, you would still appreciate them as
long as they contribute to the economy

Ppl who want to be succesful celerate succesful ppl but ppl like you who are full of bitterness would end up as paupers. Look around in your community, those old men who ended up as diseased 1mbeciles and beggars that was how they started.

Given that you have spent a quarter of your life on earth, that means you have a higher percentage of ending up like those ppl in your clan who died sad and sorrowful

RomanceRe: Trick I Use In Catching Potential Rapist by mickey45: 6:01am On Aug 13, 2015
Jenny1010:
Most people often think that rape is only when there is an element of force, coercion or threat on the victim. The law says any person who had sexual intercourse with a girl without her consent has committed the offence of Rape. This means having sex with a sleeping or intoxicated girl had amount to rape. Some guys even stupefy a girl's drink in other to have their way. This type of rape is often difficult to prove absent of consent, thereby most girls don't even bother to launch a complain to the police.

My Story ( The trick)

This guy had been asking me out for sometime, yesterday evening I decided to give him a shot. He took me to a nice bar somewhere around town. As we got seated, he ordered for a bottle of alcoholic wine. I told him I don't have a head for alcohol (which is a lie), that a little sip might make me tipsy (big lie), except he will promise to take me home if I get tipsy. He promised me that he will take me home. As we got drinking, this dude keep telling me how much he love me and want me to be the mother of his unborn kids, and that he will never hurt me, that I should give him a chance blah blah blah... He looked so innocent, charming and convincing. I told him to give me sometime to think about his proposal.

After emptying several glass of wine, at a point I decided to start the trick to test him, I started acting like I was drunk. I started talking out of point, dangling my head and making awkward hand gestures. He was convinced that I was drunk, yet he was still persuading me to drink more. At that moment I knew he was up to something, but I need to be sure. I took more glass of wine as he requested, after that I increased my acting. At a point he decided it was time to go , he held me as we were walking out toward his car i was staggering . As he help me into the car, he slightly touched my boobs. He did it to look like it was a mistake, but I knew he wanted to confirm my state of intoxication, so I didn't bug. As he gets into the car and drove the car, I pretended to have dozed up. At a point he stopped the car, got out and rushed into a pharmacy shop, I was just lying there like I was deep asleep with my eyes slightly open peeping at him. I guessed he was buying condoms , but I wasn't sure.

The next stop was in front of a hotel, he got down again and rushed inside. I guessed he went to book a room. He got back , helped me out of the car and inside the hotel. As we got to the reception, I decided the acting was enough, I forcefully pulled myself away from him, I called him a bloody liar , a rapist and all other hideous names I can't even remember. He was so astonished to see my eyes wide open. I also castigated the receptionist , I asked her how could she be their and watch a man drag an unconscious girl into a room . I even threatened to call the police to arrest them both. After that I walked out of the hotel gallantly leaving him there ashamed of himself. I took a taxi back home.

This is the 7th guy I have used this trick on , and they all failed woefully. The moment you start acting like you are intoxicated, the demon beneath the handsome, cool loving guy comes out to manifest. This got me thinking, are all guys rapist ? Is there any guy out there who can take an intoxicated girl to her house , without trying to take advantage of her condition? May God help us all.

Hmmmmm. All this things I read this days about first class not getting a job is frustrating and its almost discouraging someone like me. Thank God I've not allowed myself to be discouraged. Few days ago, I read in the career section where a first class student was lamenting about not being employed for the past two years. Someone's comment up there is also a but scary and others that I've seen and hears of too. But wait, op, before complaining, have you done your Nysc at all? If not, then I guess you shouldn't complain yet.
I graduated in 2014 with a first class also and before my Nysc, the job I got was a 13000 naira teaching job and I was used like 'rain water' but I didn't feel discouraged at all, cos to me, it is an holiday job, tho other teachers in the school were paid such amounts too. But I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I am presently serving. I am preparing to write ielts exam and apply for scholarships. Also I plan to save some money to start a business in case jib no show, tho I don't pray for such. At the same time, I am planning to apply for as much jobs as possible ,submit my CVs on various recruitments portals too. And still if job still no show, I have mapped out some companies I will write letters to, applyin for graduate internship positions.
I hope its not that you have finished serving. And pls lemme tell you, doing masters doesn't guarantee employment. We have seen many like that, but it's always good to do your masters and PhD, just in case the oppurtunity presents itself, especially if you are someone like me who will love to be a lecturer. Presently, the job I would like to have is the type that I will be able to further my studies.
May God bless our hustles.

Potentially, this could be the best thing to happen to Nigeria in a long time. I am hoping for a biometric census, so that we can know who is who and how much each region has. This has the potential to change the political structure of Nigeria.
You're one of your kind!
@neduzze5,
This is where the whole imbalance in Nigeria started; warped census figures,
@Dollyak; I pray PMB's force of Character will see this near- perfectly through.

Even if he's able to achieve it this term, then, he'll have laid the foundation for restructuring this country
but alas! They'll just skew it again, unless each region's officials are the one to count the other. So they can counter-monitor themselves.

It happened with INEC, only the NIMC's database (IMO) can be relied on for now and I actually think GEJ was indirectly trying to achieve that with the card without generating uproar with the process.

"Comfortable lifestyle"?
When the purpose of a thing isn't known, abuse they say is inevitable
If that's all you want, you don't have to go to any school to get it.
So I'll be ashamed/regretted if the only gains a person from a "good" education is a "comfortable lifestyle".

Cos then, the person is only a little better than the unlearned.
Not to say it's not worth a venture though as an educated but wretched life is also not pleasant

Let me ask IFA sad

My point is, cos someone is the indoor type does not mean he or she is not informed(not when all the information you could possibly be in need of is just a click away from you) or must be boring.

I'd tell you indoor people spend their time reading almost anything they come across. They'd beat you hands down on any topic you engage them on so long it's of interest to them.

They often the chatter box on social platforms...you can research that. They make up more than half of the people you find on any social platform.

some of them might be just what you've written above but believe me it applies to quite a few

I repeat, they are not necessarily boring. Cos they are not exposed to people, they might be kind of withdrawn but if you make them feel comfortable around you, you might just have to beg for a break if care is not taken.
You're absolutely right there...
You're close to one?
Might not be the total 'chatter box' of a thing but indoor folks are indoor mostly because their interests lie far away, and it's likely deeper/weightier than the things most other people commonly engage in. In fact they consider them "fickle".

The time they spend indoors, a Good check around n you'll see either they're online (which is most common) or with a book and at other times by themselves Looking forlorn (thinking).

Bill Gates has an entire estate only to himself and his thoughts and he says "thinking is the hardest job" tells you what indoor people are really good at.
