einsteino and mickey45...Both of you are very very useless,i wonder how u guys think, you fink they fly aircraft for fun if not on mission, its better u shut up ur dirty mouths rather dan allow GOD to curse you if u dont knw d circumstances behind happening. RIP to the HEROES and those in the aircraft.
Pity is what I feel for the dead housewives and their families, but total outrage is what describes my state of mind at the probably preventable loss of the crew,

"USELESS" by the way is a strong word to describe a human, maybe you'll learn how better to use it as you age.

I normally don't do it but for your sake I will say this again, yes almost nobody has all the facts...
What I'm pointing at is that the craft/crew could be fatigued and from what I know, fatigue prevents your ability to manage seemingly inconsequential surprises when they come.

Even as I point out (along with the commenter I mentioned) that it is a most costly favor if any of what has been mentioned on the bird is responsible for what happened.

Unfortunately, the crew guys had no choice in the decision to or not to fly (even if tired)/convey the people even if they had thought otherwise.

Why would anyone want to fly those things anyway? Is it the maintenance culture we have in this country or what?

So again, while I might not have done a good job at putting my points across initially,
you boy still have a lot of growing to do...

wait o! is it right for the wives of wing commanders to use air crafts of the military? i mean so tax payer's money is used to fuel an helicopter for un-official purposes. if you ask me, i would say that is an abuse of office, if the sole reason that aircraft was airborne was simply to convey the wives of these wing commanders, it amounts to economic recklessness and wastage.
You spoke my mind on these issues!
Apart from wrongful use of government facility,One cannot say how manyth time that Aircraft was making that same journey on that day!

They could've been moving armed forces officers' wives back and forth from some meeting or party maybe two/trip
Could've gotten fatigued etc.

What dissapoints in their deaths is that the officers sent this young stars to their graves running unofficial errands.
Thus denying them the chance to die in duty/service which could've made them heroes.

But you'll hardly hear that being discussed, except if any of the Airhostess/pilot has strong backers who refuses to let it go like that.

Wife of this, wife of that.. None of the passengers is officially supposed to be there

eiete:
Read my post well again, I'm not disputing that GEJ could have done better when it came to spending on defence, however what my argument is, is that Nigerian's should not taken everything politicians tell as the gospel truth without researching and asking questions. Part of the reason we are where we are today is that Nigerians have failed to hold those we have elected to account.

As for Buhari's spending, what is the whole point of millions spent arming one's self if everyone is dying of hunger.
That's what a popular economist wrote some years ago
In his words, "we have allocated billions of Dollars to weapons to protect a few people while elsewhere, billions of people are dying of hunger.

But oga America would rather have us depend on them forever than let-us be...
GEJ gave a hint of his intention to wean us off the dollar and it's traumatic effects on our economy and I think it's among why they were so keen on getting him out.

PMB might not fare any better either should he toe that line...

Sukkot am afraid I will disagree wiv u on this. Nigeria is deeply divided. We use the principle of federal character to ensure adequate representation. During obasanjo era, one of the reasons he wasn't popular amongst the yorubas was because they thought he would do what Buhari is doing now. He was very de-tribalised.

Am sorry but Buhari has fumbled. He cannot tell me only people from his region can get the work done? Tel me what a retired col can do in customs, is he saying there are no competent southerners in customs? Do u know hausas have been heading customs for the past 30 years. Dear, the major reason God sent us to earth,is to broadcast, evangelize and the most important, win souls to his kingdom...... Why don't they go and shut down all those club houses... Why Churches?

For all I care, all the houses in Nigeria could be demolished, and churches built.... What Nigeria really needs now is Prayer,Prayer and Prayer!!!!!!
I agree with you, but not all prayers require Noise-making, Isaiah said God's not Deaf... So I don't see how noisemaking aids the him hearing our prayers .

Except say during deliverance in which d noise isn't from the person himself...

ammyluv2002:
Yes, i know! It's not the number of churches we have that will make us win souls for God.
You might be slightly but unintentionally wrong here, every christian's house is supposed to be a church.
That's why Paul will always say "greet the church in the house of......."
So each Christian's house is supposed to be a church. But mainly in conduct (Godliness, etc.). The mistake is people restricting a church to a building... And our nigerians' love for superficial show.
Explains their easily getting hoodwinked by people "whose God is their belly"

E.g members of the early denominations were easily recognised by the conduct of their members outside.

Pls instead of laminating it, put it in the rubber but let them just seal the tip and not the whole body. So you can take it out anytime if required..

PoliticsRe: How Obasanjo Ordered NNPC To Retain NLNG Dividends-thisday by mickey45: 12:21am On Aug 25, 2015
Bugatie:
For me, this is where the main issue is, you can't dish out a report like this without establishing who provided the fund for this investment, so as to know if the parasitic state governors or Fed govt has a good claim
They're just being shy about it, FG hardly pays its share of Oil and Gas JVs,
OBJ must have actually acted in good faith when he assented to the directive.

seunmsg:
I agree with the position of the state governors. Nigerias share of the NLNG dividend belongs to the federation and not the federal government. The gas been explored by NLNG is a natural resources that belongs to the Nigerian federation and not federal government alone. If the dividends will be kept for future investment, it should be a joint decision between the federal and state governments.
Though I seem to understand your underlying issue with the "our oyel syndrome" yet issues of national importance have to be objectively discussed.

We all know how long it takes FG takes to approve of a pending (especially if it's not within budget), not to talk the actual release of funds. It makes the most sense then (given the then-prevailing circumstances) to let NLNG and infact the whole NNPC do all it has to (maintenance, procurement etc.) And remit the profit (income less production cost) to FG, except power (esp. Financial power) corrupts.
Now that GMB has promised NLNG's Head of less bureaucratic layers though, maybe it's time these autonomy on funds be lessened somewhat.
These State Govt. esp the ..... Ones have never supported any form of saving.
They were the ones berating NOI for refusing to share all our Reserves then, blocked every move to employ less than obtainable crude oil prices benchmark in budgeting and even the institution of the SWF at the onset.
Now they're busy castigating the same woman whose advise they all opposed.

ghostmist:
Bro, next time try to read and comprehend what you've read before jumping to comment. Don't allow partisan politics to blind you to the truth.

This mindset of "bring it let us share'' is what will eventually destroy this country. Our leaders are more concerned with cannibalizing our investments rather than seeing them grow. One day, we would all wake up, only to discover that there is nothing more to share, then, it will be ''to your tent o israel''...
tete7000:
If you read the argument on the JV, then you know that Obasanjo didn't err in anyway. We can't be a country of share all and eat. NNPC currently can't finance its own counterpart funding of JV because everything proceeding from the projects are shared and chopped. It is in other to avoid that kind of scenario for our gas sector that the decision was taken. It is in the best interest of our country. If anyone err it is the governors who want to run the country dry. They always want ro eat everything. Where is it written that only fg should save for governors to come and take and eat? During the period of surplus, did states' allocation too not went up? If yes, what investment can the governors point too as their achievement? If they come around and accuse Jonathan of being a spendthrift, the are as guilty as Jonathan was. They are as wasteful as Jonathan was. People like Aregbesola had money and embark on stupid projects that waste money and can't be sustained on the long run.

OBJ is not a person I like but on this one, he acted right. Let take out the money and expand our gas infrastructure. Let's have train 7, train 8 and more and let Oshiomole stop making silly noise on lng money. He should invest his state money too and take from proceedings from such projects to finance his state's budget.
Winning123:
I don't agree with their position. they have been talking about sharing without investing. they are bunch of rogues, charlatans
@all Don't mind them, while countries like Norway, Canada etc. Have Thousands and millions of Dollars kept for their unborn children, even the little money meant for the living citizens are being shared up.

Heard of an LG in a particular area where the LG (as written on paper) doesn't even have an office. Heard certain individuals only meet at the end of the month to share their allocation for that month as the vast majority (apart from being few in number) are illiterate, ignorant and subservient.

I was referring to Buhariconomics that you and your kind are celebrating .

From an economic perspective ,do you think that what the FG is doing to resuscitate the naira is the way forward ?

How about when industries begin to lay off workers in their thousands ,ushering in an austerity measure and thereby increasing civil unrest which in turn will give hoodlums a free hand to operate undisturbed because the attention of security personnel would be divided and the menace of boko haram in the North East ? Do you think that we have the security, facility and technical know-how to battle these things without running into chaos? Mr passingshot.
That is normally not supposed to happen except if the so called
importers do not want to do the importing legally as CBN made provisions for obtaining FX in such instances (banks may put up their profiteering attitude though)

Yes GEJ shd've seen to the plugging but, look at when he wanted to stop subsidy, didn't ignorance make the citizenry go promote the profiteerers' interest?
