My analysis was because I am single....

If I was married, I'd taken another root.

Like I said, getting a new BVN will enable you to open a new bank account and you can do transfer and even change phone line to a new phone and create new emails as well ...

I'd send my family out first Europe, while I move and change my identity to something new!
Kill this pipe dream, is not as easy and straight forward as you are making it to look

Family / Re: Should I Allow My Mother-in-law In Our Home? I Need Advice by Micval: 8:07pm On Mar 29, 2023
ozalogbo:
I am the first child of my mother, and I have two younger male siblings. I am doing well financially. My wife is the last of four children in her family. My dad died when I was still in the university, and this affected my mum.

However, as she aged, her health waned. She was a retired teacher. My brothers are not in the country. Both of them are in Europe. I wanted to have my mother stay with me in her later years because of her health and loneliness but my wife did not want it.

Whenever she was ill and I brought her home to be with us, my wife was usually hostile, especially if my mum had stayed beyond a week. She did not hid her disapproval, and this caused problems in the marriage. People advised that I should send my mum away and pay someone to live with her and take care of her. They said that marriage was between a man and his wife, not between a man, his wife, and his mother. I did and peace returned. Eventually my mum passed on after a few years.

Along the line, my father in law also died. And down the line, my mother in law's health began to deteriorate. We live in the same town. Among my wife's siblings she is the only one doing quite well. Now there are suggestions that the mother should come and live with us so that my wife can give her proper care. I believe that her living with us and seeing her grandchildren will help her. And indeed i have no problem accepting her, but when i remember the treatment my wife gave to my mum, there is a strong revulsion, in fact, anger in me. I shared with a friend, and he advised i forgive my wife, but the revulsion is so strong that i would feel cheated if i agreed.

What do you guys think. She reminded me then that marriage was between a man and his wife only. Shouldn't this also apply to my wife now?

She didn't accept your mum to be taken care of in your home and he expects you to allow her bring her own mum in, who does that

In fact, what the ObidienDs are bringing into Nigerian politics is very dangerous and must be rejected by all.

Now the only thing needed to win any election in Nigeria is to claim that you are fighting for the Youth and the masses. No ideology!

If ObidienDs get into power, another group will come up with the same plan, telling the electorate that they are fighting for the masses...

Now there would be no clear cut ideologies that would form the base of any party... Unlike in saner climes, where they have two or max three political parties with very clear and known ideals. Democrats and Republicans come to mind in the US...
What is the clear cut ideologies of the parties that has been rulling Nigeria for the past 24 years, tell me

Let me explain this to you, after 10th of this month, old Naira note will cease to be a legal tender, you can't transact with it, but if you still have it in your custody, banks will still accept it till 17th

All these LAWMA workers that usually sweep major roads in the morning. Most of them would be begging you for money whenever they see you.

Most weekends when I'm jogging I use to tip them because they're mostly elderly women whom I believe have families to care for.

But I'm going to stop it. Cos they're obviously not tired of suffering, the same APC government that brought hardship to the economy and made the salaries they receive useless because of insane inflation is the same government they're campaigning for.

Honestly, sometimes I just don't understand how the average Nigerian thinks.

These people don't understand what good life is all about, these are the ones that can sell thier vote over a plate of Amala and Ewedu

I have lived in Lagos all my life, I'm a lagosian, I schooled in ogun state, I schooled in kano, I served in akwa ibom and to be honest, I enjoyed those states far better than Lagos. I feel sad dt lack of Job opportunities made me leave those states to come back to lagos and hustle. If not for money, I rather stay in akwa ibom and live a stress free life than lagos.

Living in Akwa Ibom will add 10 extra years to your life,

Tinubu is definitely the most popular candidate in this election, he is the news whilst others are doing OAP and tiktok videos, he's the only one banking on his track records and connection to move Nigeria forward, Nigeria needs a taste of Lagos like administration if we truly want real progress .

So Nigeria don't need a taste of Nigeria like administration that has been foisted on same Nigeria by Tinubu as an APC leader

Yet the man that managed lagos since 1999 you won't support him

[quote author=PavillionEnergy post=115728682]Hello Nairalanders,
I need advice regarding this opportunity.

I applied for an Engineering Graduate Trainee Position recently. I wrote the aptitude and technical tests and passed. I also attended the interview and I was successful.

The Contract Form was sent to me and I saw some clauses that I need to discuss here before I append my signature.

1. The training runs for two years before conversion to a full staff.

2. You cannot terminate the contract for the training once you sign. You must stay for the full two years.

3. There is a canteen at the factory, but you have to buy the food.

4. There is no full HMO benefits but the factory has a clinic to attend to medical needs of the trainee.

5. The gross pay for the first year is 50K. The gross pay for the second year is 70K and from the third year, you earn 100K.

6. The company does not offer accommodation for the trainees.

7. I am not sure if the company uses staff bus.

8. Work is Monday to Saturday. 9:00AM to 6:00PM. Although Saturday work ends by 1:00PM

NOTE: I stay in the FCT so I would need to relocate. The company is in Lagos.

The only time these comes into effect is when your new place of work send back a reference letter to where you ate coming from, other wise, you ll just resign, using person reason as the issue and move on
