HealthHelp Needed For A Corrective Surgery by middlebelter(op): 1:53pm On Jul 02, 2018
I refer to my earlier thread on Information about non-governmetal Oraganization that could assist children in need of medical support through :https://www.nairaland.com/4560363/information-medical-support-less-privileged#68456778.

Although that was my first time of making a public request on social medial, the request only attracted view without a single comment. I find it compelling to take up this responsibility once again because I believe there are many good Nigerians out there that are ready to support or help fellow countrymen if they are convinced that the request is not fake.
TravelRe: Otedola Bridge Explosion Victim In Hospital Speaks: 'It Was Like A War' by middlebelter(m): 6:01pm On Jun 30, 2018
BloggersNG:
A 41-year-old commercial bus driver, who augments his daily income by operating as a vulcaniser by the side is also one of the victims at the Otedola Fire Accident.

The father of three and native of Osun State invests much of his energy and time into productive activities that would help put food on the table for his family.

On Thursday afternoon, while ferrying passengers in his 18-seater bus from Lagos to the Mowe/Ibafo area of neighbouring Ogun, a bigger worry was added to Olaitan’s growing list.

A speeding tanker laden with around 33, 000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit – one of the deadliest and easily combustible liquids in the world – that had lost control suddenly fell a few metres away from Otedola Bridge, a popular axis along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, spilling its content all over the place and bursting into flames shortly afterwards.

The 41-year-old whose commercial bus was directly behind the ill-fated tanker, the moment brought a glimpse of perhaps what the end of the world would look like.

“I saw darkness everywhere immediately the tanker exploded,” he said while speaking with Saturday Beat on his hospital bed where yards of bandages now strapped him like an armour.

“I thought I was going to die. It was as if the end had come. There was commotion everywhere, just like in a war. Nothing else came to my mind.

We all believed it was the end,” he added soberly as he narrated his ordeal to his teary-eyed wife – Faidat – and other family members, who had come to check on him on Friday morning.

While attributing his narrow escape to divine grace, the Ile-Ife indigene said that for a few minutes after the tanker fell, he and others in the vehicle were confused as to what to do.

He revealed that it was while it was being argued that the content of the truck was diesel or petrol that the entire place erupted in flames. According to him, after being briefly knocked out by the sound of the explosion, he managed to regain consciousness and enough strength to force his way out of the bus through the front passenger seat. But even after exiting the vehicle, his fears were far from over.

“I jumped into a gutter full of dirty water immediately I forced my way out of the bus,” he said, slowly adjusting his sitting position on the bed. “I had hoped to use the water to quench the fire on my body but unknown to me the water had already mixed with the petrol that had spilled from the tanker. That compounded my problem.

While I was struggling to quench the fire on my body, I did not know that my head was burning. I managed to run across the road and into an uncompleted building where people around helped me put out the fire. That was my saving grace, otherwise only God knows what would have happened to me,” he stated.

Gossip From Ebiwali--

I thank God for spearing your life and also the people that helped you quench the fire.

A different route needs to be created for these tanker drivers. The dangers they pose to other road users is way too much.
It is not about different route it is about obeying law and enforcement. They were told to move only at night in Lagos, they won't listen.
Also the pipelines are being constantly vandalize, but can we really compare the cost of repairing the pipeline and watching it from vandalism to the cost of lives that was wasted yesterday alone?

You can't believe how sick and tired I am with this continual complaint every day on everything by this APC government. Intact I regret voting this PMB. I thought GEJ was bad but hey this PMB is horrible. Excuse for everything?

Benue killings, he refused to go there for a long time , after his visit, he blamed the IGP for not keeping his directive then promised to investigate, nothing has been heard till date. People said Fulanis Herdsmen are killing in middle let, he said no they are Libyan trained by Gaddafi, ok arrest or stop them and protect our territorial integrity, no action.
The budget was delayed eventually it was brought to his attention for signing, he said the National Assembly has changed the major projects and yet he went ahead to sign it.
He delayed appointment of minister for 6 months Nigerian waited for him patiently , today we know the quantity of people he used 6months to choose. It is obvious the Service Chiefs and IGP are not matching the Security challenge in the country, yet he choose to keep them. Do we need any angel to tell us the DSS is a complete disaster as far as intelligence gathering is concerned? Yet he prefer to keep him because of personal relationship.

Tinubu!, Tinubu!!,Tinubu!!! watch your back o.What OBJ can see sitting down, you can't see it even has f you climb a tree.
PhonesRe: These Are Best 10 Chinese Phones Money Can Buy At The Moment. by middlebelter(m): 8:37am On Jun 28, 2018
TechCapon:
@TechCapon

We’re in the 1st half of the year 2018 and while we wait to see what the second half has to offer, we bring you the best 8 Chinese smartphones in the market right now. If you’ve been snubbing Chinese phones in the past, you need to start paying attention to devices coming from China because they’ve really stepped up their game big time and their Android smartphones are very sleek and innovative enough to compete with the biggest brands like Samsung, LG, who should be getting worried by now at the fast pace these Chinese companies in the smartphone world. Vivo and Oppo are getting better than Samsung and iPhone in terms of design. Although Americans have not really welcomed Chinese smartphones with open arms for security reasons, these phones are very good and have big market shares in Europe, Asia and Africa. If you look at our list, you’ll notice most of these phones have some things in common, they have Snapdragon 660, 845 processors and OLED displays which means Tecno, Infinix, Itel, Gionee Fero and other OEMs in Nigeria should upgrade fast. Let’s get to it.

1. Vivo NEX S

https://techcapon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/nex-1.jpg

This phone sold out in just 4 hours in China, if you’ve been watching the world cup in Russia, you will notice this phone is always on display thanks to a big sponsorship deal with FIFA. Packed with a massive 6.6 inch 1080p FULL HD OLED display with in-screen camera and pop-up camera, this phone is no doubt the best Chinese phone in the market right now.

6.6-inch 1080p OLED display, no notch
12-megapixel and 5-megapixel primary cameras
Pop-up 8-megapixel selfie camera
In-display fingerprint sensor
Snapdragon 845 processor
256GB storage, 8GB RAM
Headphone jack

2. OPPO FIND X

https://techcapon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/oppo.jpg

Oppo is a very funny name, trying to sound like Apple but they have very beautiful and powerful phones and are very popular in Asian countries but has done a very good job even better than Vivo in trying to remove the notch and create a sleek bezeless phone. The Oppo strategy is however more complicated. It has motorized massive 25MP front camera that reveils itself whenever the top panel pops up. It has no fingerprint scanner but uses facial recognition. That means anytime you want to unlock your phone, the top panel lifts up for the camera to scan your face. How cool.

6.4-inch 1080p OLED display, no notch
16-megapixel and 20-megapixel primary cameras
Elevating 25-megapixel selfie camera
3D face scanning
Snapdragon 845 processor
256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM

3. XIAOMI MI MIX 2S

https://techcapon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/xx-1.jpg

Xiaomi is China’s largest smartphone makers at the moment and they’re not slowing down.It is the era of bezeless phones and Xiaomi has also come up with it’s own solution to the notch problem, though not an innovative solution like Vivo and Oppo. Its front camera is at the below the screen, not at the top. This means you have to turn the phone upside down each time you want to take a selfie. It however comes with wireless charging, 8GB RAM and Qualcomm’s fastest processor, the Snapdragon 845. Speak of top performance !

6-inch 1080p LCD, no notch
12-megapixel dual cameras
5-megapixel selfie camera below screen
Snapdragon 845 processor
256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM
Rear-mounted fingerprint sensor

4. OnePlus 6

https://techcapon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/one-768x356.jpg

OnePlus is company founded in 2013 by Pete Lau, former vice president of Oppo. This flagship killer Oneplus 6 codename “enchilada” was unveiled on 16 May 2018. It si powered by Qualcomms fastest processor Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 and runs on the latest OS android Oreo 8.1. It also has the fastest facial unlock than any phone.

6.28 inch 1080 p Optic AMOLED display
16-megapixel dual cameras
16MP selfie camera
Snapdragon 845 processor
256GB storage, 8GB RAM
Fingerprint (rear-mounted)

5. HUAWEI P20 PRO

https://techcapon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/HUA.jpg

Huawei has been in a recent scandal after the Trump led government accused the company of posing a security threat to the US. But that aside, they’re the makers of this sleek with a unique shimmering design and run on it’s own processor the Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor.

6.1-inch 1080p OLED display with notch
Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor
128GB of storage, 6GB of RAM
Triple camera system with 40-megapixel primary sensor, 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, and 8-megapixel 3x telephoto lens
24-megapixel selfie camera
Front-mounted fingerprint sensor
Good report but you didn't include the market price. This will help us to place a value in monetary term and help us to know how many infinix hot pro we can sell to buy 1 grin

You can be sure the Crown Princess of Japan Masako Qwada is not anywhere near the Queen of England, the most popular and Powerful Monarch in the globe?

This woman has been Queen when are heroes past (as we render in our National Anthem ) were nationalist , it was her decision to grant us independence that made the Ziks, the Awolowo and Sardaunas emerge as leaders we call founding fathers. She has been Queen since 1952/53.
So, I disagree with you. Perhaps meeting her should even be considered meeting a more powerful leader than PMB. Do, if you meet PMB for a honour, won't you be happy to go with your mother?

I hope this Iran Shi'ite Muslims will not be worse than Boko Haram the way we are going? How do we explain the continual attack on the armed forces
( If it is not Army today, it will be police and this same group was trying to wipe sentiment the other time calling the Christians to support them against Buhari.

I may not like most of PMB policies and approach to issues but am certainly with him on this Shi'ite matter. Another person I don't like is El-rufai but again, on this Shi'ite matter you have my support. You kill a police man and destroy thier van, then you will come and start shouting human right? They deserved any treatment the police give them. For once we should be law abiding. They can't have CAN support at all, or when have they heard Christian s protesting and attacking the Police?

This is indeed the time the Sultan of Sokoto should be talking if he's truly the leader of Muslims in Nigeria. This is the time for him to call them to order before another version of Boko Haram evolve.

CelebritiesRe: This Is Nigeria’: MURIC Takes Battle Against Falz To CAN by middlebelter(m): 11:35am On Jun 20, 2018
I think this Prof Ishaq Akintola should be mindful of the way he is attacking CAN with his MURIC . If there is anything that Nigeria needs, it is unity and emphasis on the things that unites us not division. No matter the way you look at it there are good arguments on both side to strongly disagree. However, permit me to say that God forbids, if a religious war should start today, there will be no winner and perhaps the Yorubas will suffer more than any tribe because that is the tribe that has almost equal proportion of both religion.

Although I am from the political North, in my extended family for-instance we have both Christians and Muslims. God forbids, I cant watch anyone been killed talk-less of my family member because of one politically instigated crisis. If Akintola thinks he's not comfortable with CAN position, he should arrange for a meeting with CAN instead of making public statements that are capable of threatening public peace.

My humble submission before it is too late to manage.

I think it is not a good idea to put BH ex members in the police, they should be thoughtful fish farming and other means of sustenance. But knowing CAN perchant for lies, false alarms and outright farbrications, I strongly doubt this news just like the Arabic exams at the police force recruitment, which turned out to be CAN illiterate incapability to reason appropriately.

On religionizing criminals, once again CAN shows it protects murderers and gives conditions on which they can be punished, murderers are now members of CAN who require them organising press briefing to protect them. They are not demanding the murderers case should be reviewed but should their punishment should not be implemented until Muslim murderers have been caught. We expect less from a corrupt body that collected money meant for defeating BH.
Your provocative attack on CAN will not go unnoticed.

You are quick to condemn CAN because the body is demanding for protection of her fellow christian citizens been killed daily by both Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen both of which have Islamic background. You and your types on this platform will prefer CAN to remain silent in the face of perceived miscarriage of justice. Is it not true that the IGP who is a Muslim refused to carry out the directive of the Commander in Chief of Armed Forces in this country that he should relocate to Benue until the Fulani Herdsmen killing the natives were arrested? Did he comply with the directive? Did PMB punish him? Did the minister of Defense not call for repealing of Anti Open Grazing laws in states where it has been enacted? is he not a Muslim.

I hate to be dragged into this type of conversation but how many time have we Christians been attacking MURIC on this platform because of their public opinion.Indeed it is comments like yours that are capable of instigating religious crisis. CAN may not be perfect but we certainly dont need your unguided criticism especially when human lives are involved.

Tell IGP and Miniter of Defense to produce the killers of Christains in the Middlebelt so that they can also face justice. Nobody is saying criminals should be protected. You arrest some and allow some to escape. Uneven dispensation of justice?

Bastard child! Because Nigerians have refused to stone you and your family to death for the cruelty done against this nation. I wonder why Nigerians keep supporting these criminals undecided
I feel so upset by the comments of this Abacha daughter that I wanted to reply her directly on her Facebook page only to find out it's not possible.

I wish someone can help us draw her attention and members of thier family to people's reaction to her very insensitive comment on this platform.
For the purpose of record and avoidance of doubt, Abacha commited some of the following offences against Nigeria and if his daughter thinks they are free from the sins of thier father, my advice for them is to repent and ask for forgiveness of sins:

Abacha government sponsored state terrorism against her citizens, especially against NADECO, we vividly remember the attack on late Payment Abraham Adesanya and his bullet riddled vehicle, Kudirat Abiola was not that lucky, she died as a result of the attack. Ashiwaju Tinubu ran away from the country.

Abacha looted the country dry and deprived the country of viable project. Yes, the man claimed Nigeria has no money to complete the Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Industry, that made the USSR construction company to abadon the project, twenty years down the line, we are still recovering some of the loots, indeed, the AGF said another $500m is being expected to be returned, yet what we need to complete the project that could have generated thousands of jobs and been a bedrock of our industry is just about $500m . Now that didn't include the one that has been recovered, imagine the one that hasn't be traced? No wonder Abacha's BV wife said her family can't be as poor as Dangote. Now this Gumsu Danni Abacha is certainly proud of this legacy?

I read in wall that her father didn't do anything wrong to the Yorubas? She must be completely devoid of any knowledge of history if she is too young to understand what happened then. IBB at least told us the reason he did not handle over to MKO was because some powerful people will kill him and MKO. Do we need to go far to know that powerful person is her father, IBB retired all senior officer but left only Abacha to take over from Sonekan. Soyinka's comments is not about your father's tribe, it is about his wickedness. Your father hanged the Ken Saro Wiwa group despite all appeal. Your father made us to live in fear.If Nigerian about the age of 30years are allowed to vote on who the consider to be the most wicked past leader of this country, you can be sure he will have no rival in winning that title. Can't you see how Nigerian celebrated his demise? Although I considered it absurd as a person.

Abacha used his office to favour the north more than the south. Yes, am from political north but that's is the truth. Imagine after creating more state from Kano, he increased the local government in the state to 44 as against what Lagos that has more population . Check out the projects executed under PTF chaired by Buhari under Abacha, more than 80%are in the North.

Abacha placed embargo on employment yet he stifled inflow of foreign investment into the country, as a young graduate then, we were not given job under Abacha

I think the management of this forum need to look at the issues being raised by this OP. The truth is growth will require continual improvement.

I also feel that more attention should be given to information sharing rather than all the attention on celebrity gossip. For instance I wrote a thread this week requesting for information on how to get assistance for a young girl that requires surgery on her two legs , all I need is information on where her single mother can get additional support to complete the payment of the bill, and the moderator s to help push the thread to a point it will attract more audience that could possibly help with information.
Nigerians in diaspora are also eager to source for reliable information but our attitude to information sharing is appalling.

It not only GEJ that failed the test, even our own OBJ from the same region with MKO was a gross disappointment on this matter. Anybody that has been familiar with my comments on this platform will know that I know I respect OBJ and his little achievements, however, on this subject, he failed.

This good gesture by PMB thought you'd is NOT a consideration for 2019 vote, PMB has failed in many respects especially his body language to the killings in middlebelt which has given it a colouration of ethnic/religious cleansing. Imagine the recent comments by his Minister of defence asking anti open grazing law to be repealed? That quality of mind shouldn't move closer to someone that believes in the spirit of June 12. The continual praising of Abacha whose loots we are still repatriating 20years after his death, the man that stopped the completion of Ajaokuta Iron and Steel, the man that sponsored state terrorism against her citizens? PMB makes me cringe if this body language could move to a second term.

No second term Mr Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu, I beg to disagree with you on this sir.

You're a mischievous lot! Where did you see $500m in this report if not from your wrecked and jaundiced mindset

Mr learner, there's a clear difference between half a billion dollars and half a billion Naira. Nursery school pupils to your rescue!
It is people like you that often give Nigeria bad image, why are you insulting me for making a simple request that an abadoned project like Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Industry be completed so that our children can get a job. I don't know your age but I certainly have a better training than returning an insult back to you.
As a young graduate, I remember Abacha saying the country has no money to complete the project thereby making the Russians to return back to thier country when the project via 98% completed but the same Abacha loot ,20years after his death, the AGF said about $500m is being expected to be returned to the country soon.We are are talking about part of theoney stolen when Abacha was head of state, the man that's said , the country has no money to complete the project that should be the bedrock of our industry and technology.
Please read the report very well pay attention bro the last paragraph and learn to address issues. Stop attacking people because of thier opinion.

Mr President and AGF please can we use the $500m to complete and put Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Industry into operation? at the last house committee hearing on Ajaokuta the Sole Administrator confirmed that a little above half a billion USD is required, if we sink the repatriated fund into such a productive sector I think Nigeria can start working and generating employment?

So yoruba are this important in Nigerian election? The children of hate have inundated this site with tales of how useless yoruba votes were even in 2015 and I had to start believing them cheesy

Are you saying SE vote without informed thought and only yoruba are educated enough in the whole country to think before voting as per the bold? cheesy

Na you talk am o cheesy
On the bold, am talking about pattern of vote. I don't mean to belittle the education level of other regions. Even under the late sage Awolowo, you still see significant Yoruba votes going to opposite direction of the majority unlike in the SE and SS, the pattern of majority vote can easily be determined. For instance in the last election, despite the influence of Tinubu, we you say GEJ didn't get significant votes from SW, only that the majority votes here determine overall winner.
