Romance › Re: What Is The Cause Of Insatiable Desire For Sex? by midnighter(f):
Survival instinct...if sex weren't pleasurable we wouldn't be encouraged to do it and reproduce..then the human species would die out

Also it helps bind couples together...you release oxytocin during sex which helps you to bond with your partner

If you don't feel a connection to your partner it is a loss to the species because humans need to create family groups to survive.

Also any pregnancy resulting is more likely to be abandoned and still, the child is less likely to survive. I am speaking from a biological perspective

The same reason eating good food makes you feel good/want more and we naturally like the taste of combined carbohydrates and protein ... all survival instinct

In fact if you really want to answer this question, you have to find examples of people who do not experience sexual urges and see the difference between their bodies and a normal one

Bullshit. Any man content with that kind of false worship is a piece of crap. I will never treat my wife that way and I'll never raise a daughter that will lick the soles of another human just because he has a penis.

Africans and false sense of self worth.
Hahaha you people have surprised me today

sammysmiles:
Informative but why is the denture not white,,, so when a person starts using it,,, what colour do we expect?
Healthy teeth have a natural yellow tint..but too much Photoshop has deceived us into thinking that our teeth are supposed to be brilliantly white

Dentalgist what's the difference between these dentures and veneers?

It's coined from two names Jim and Badly. So basically my name is Jim Badly, my pseudonym that is. smiley

So you're nocturnal? Hmmm, that's really interesting. Girls are rarely nocturnal. grin

Let me guess, you wear glasses, right? wink
But how would "Badly" be your name? Isn't that kind of inauspicious?

Lol I think people in general are hardly nocturnal, or are men known for staying awake longer?

No, I don't lol. What made you think so? Do you wear them?

dont judge a book by the cover.
Everybody has a duty to himself to present himself in a respectable way to the world

Low-key means not flaunting your wealth or deliberately playing it down, not coming to meet somebody for the first time wearing filthy clothes.

I wonder if you went to meet a lady and she showed up looking like that, whether you wouldn't run away and come to narrate the story

So poor people don't bathe or wash their clothes? What an insult to people of a humble background

This line.... "just like his famous father Cobhams who was also born blind". I read once in an article where cobhams was interviewed, in the said "interview " Cobhams said he wasn't born blind, so which of the info's should we believe?
There's such a thing as degenerative disease or progressive blindness, maybe he was born with some poor vision and it got worse as time went on.

The real problem in this discussion is that we don't know what's actually wrong with cobhams or his sons eyes, we're just using the blanket term "blind" which encompasses so many things

On the glasses thing, I'm in total support. I have a friend who was using eye classes from secondary school. Till now, he still wears it. Guess what? His first son's lenses are thicker than my friend's. But on this blindness, I feel so sad reading the piece. Ha, all I can say that, God in His infinite mercy gives her the support needed to carry on. Since she said the situation has improved, it means there's still hope for the boy to see more clearly. Out God does wonders.
Yeah it definitely runs in families though you will still get kids whos parents dont wear glasses while they wear, and vice versa

Yes, hopefully the advancements in medical science will help them out

OP you can wear a nice native with a subtle pattern/design that will be unique but not too loud

Really you should wear a suit because it will go well with the academic dress (cap and gown) but if not you should still try not to be too flashy

You people shouldn’t get me wrong ,I didn’t say she should have her own money so that she’ll take up all financial responsibilities in the home ...no

Highest they share it somehow and not her taking up everything unless that’s their agreement and she agreed to it ,my emphasis on having money was simply because of cases like the one OP is experiencing....

If the man is always telling you to leave his house ,have no respect for you or not giving you money ... if you have your own money you wouldn’t beg him or anybody you’ll use your own money ... hope you understand me?

Infact if the husband knows you have your own money and if he misbehaves you can do without him and even better he won’t try shit with you
It seems you didnt see the lady lamenting that she keeps getting kicked out of her house over tiny issues... didnt she have a job?

People like you always make excuses for iniquity not realising that the same may affect you one day...stop shifting the goalposts over somebodys bad behaviour

Thats how they tried to quash the sex-for-grades saga but by the special grace of God, you people wont succeed

I was just curious about you based on your comments here which most often evokes a feeling of 'coolness'. grin You often sound like a well-brought up lady smiley. Your comments usually look well-thought-out.

Btw, your moniker is quite catchy. Do you usually stay up late at night?
Ah, thank you smiley that's kind of you to say

Yeah I am kind of nocturnal lol. Whats the origin of your own moniker?

I guess this is how you would like somebody to talk to you when you need advice... just keep harping on about the stuff you should have done 5 years ago instead of proffering a practical solution

Weytin concern me?

If you like don’t get a job before getting married (that’s if you’re not married already) you’ll end up like her because as it seems you lack wisdom and you’re very arrogant.
You have a problem with arrogance yourself which is why you cant seem to empathise with somebody who is experiencing a crisis

Knowledge is not exclusive to you alone, why not help her instead of being abusive?

That’s why I said earlier that have a good paying job/have money or save enough before accepting a marriage proposal from anybody /going into marriage .

The fact that a man is forming alpha male before marriage and doing everything for you 100% doesn’t me she should be trusted .... there are men who stop their wives from working (I personally think women who quit their jobs because of their husbands directive and not because of their own sake eg sickness or birth for the meantime are foolish) and become housewives only to start seeing the women as liabilities years after even though they were the one who stopped the women from working.
You are correct + you have a point on the bolded.

The problem you are having is being 100% focused on the reality without minding the theoretical, which is what we are talking about.

We didnt say that what happened to OP was unrealistic or that she shouldnt have seen the writing on the wall, but it doesnt make it right and it doesnt give her husband the right to oppress her.. if he didnt want to marry her he didnt have to

I’m bitter and hateful because I said women should get good paying jobs/money before accepting marriage proposal from men/getting married ? Because all my posts on this thread so far have been about women having jobs.

There is only thing I’ve deduced from this ; you’re probably a lazy woman who believes women shouldn’t work and should be pampered all the time with no hard work that’s why you seem to think I’m bitter for saying if you don’t have a good paying job don’t get married or else you’ll create your own thread on nairaland to cry.

Life isn’t a bed of roses my friend
Not at all, you sound bitter because you cant seem to voice your opinion whilst keeping another perspective in mind.

You didnt even get Acidosis' point. What is wrong in marrying with the intention of being a housewife if its what you people discussed already? Running a home is hard work if you dont know. I dont intend on it myself, but I respect another couple's right to choose that path. I dont see that as being pampered, its just another way of designating roles in a relationship. You cant say being a homemaker is bad just because OPs husband doesnt care for her again

This is the problem with people like you.. I have enjoined OP severally to start supplementing her income and ignoring the sadistic husband, but you wont read that or any other comment. You'll just quote me and start typing inanities to make yourself feel better
