You find him on almost every thread being stupid the way he was here, and it makes me wonder if he took an overdose of a drug called stupidity. Temptee101: Please, I'm still grieving over the incident that happened in onitsha, humans like you and I and that insensitive beast just lost their lives, properties and means of livelihood
Even a fool knows when to use sarcasm, I just hate people who are insensitive to the plight of others.
If he was affected, I don't think if he will ever remember that a word like 'sarcasm' ever existed
You don't joke and laugh over everything. This can happen to anyone including that insensitive being. You don't laugh and joke over everything, but crying doesn't necessarily solve everything either We can't continue like this...somebody needs to tell the harsh truth... will people keep dying needlessly and we will be crying?? There is a reason why in films, a drunkard, a mad person or a child is used to reveal things...because they just say it as it is I don't support his bad mouth but how long are we going to keep mourning people without cause |

NwaAmaikpe:

Please how is this Obiano's fault and why would any sane thinking person demand his resignation? What did they expect him to do? To use his bottle of Hero Beer to put off the flame or to use its fire to light his tobacco pipe?
The truth is, The traders who couldn't put off the fire themselves are the lazy ones who failed all of us. In a whole Onitsha an ordinary petrol tanker's flame could not be put off. What's the essence of having River Niger then?
They were busy throwing sachet water on the inferno when River Nigeria is just 70naira away from the scene of the accident. Why didn't they go there with buckets to get water to put out the flame since they couldn't pump water from it pending the arrival of the Fire Service trucks.
The religiously overzealous traders who normally lock up stores to observe midday mass were nowhere to be found as well. Maybe their prayers would have brought down rain to douse the flames.
In fact, everyone is lazy and I am even lazy to type anymore.
We are all acute denialists. Our leaders are not the problem. We are the problems. Till we realize we can do more than just throwing blames on our leaders, we will always have a dysfunctional Country. They are getting angry at your sardonic writing but what youre saying is just the truth The market traders are supposed to have contingency measures in place in case of this kind of disaster.. why are they running about like headless chickens..dont they know they can die of smoke inhalation? How can there be no water to quench fire in a riverine city? Why dont they insure their wares? See how unkempt that place is... why make it easier for fires to spread from one place to another Okay the government is bad, wont you help yourself We are even lucky this didnt happen in Abia state where the trash they are sitting on can ignite at any moment |

Imagine, throughout the whole of your state there's no functional fire service department, the one that came all the way from another state to help you out, you're threatening to burn it down for 'coming late'! Its the head of the fire service that should resign not Obiano... Obiano is not a firefighter Why didnt they get down there and start evacuating people? Why were they nowhere to be found? Its the Fire service, ambulance service, road safety, police and military who were supposed to go there and calm all those screaming people All those useless soldiers that harass people every day where were they this is what they are trained for What about the Red Cross and Salvation Army... did anybody call them What a disaster |

dayo229: My neighbor, a woman was drowned few days ago due to heavy rainfall. Her body was found 3 days later in a near by river across our street.
What surprises me is that when they want bury her, etutu (sacrifice) was performed by osun people (they wore white clothes and in beads). This woman I'm talking about was a Muslim o. She has even gone to Mecca before.
Can anybody here tell me why it is done?
What happens if they don't do the sacrifice and just bury her like that?
Is this peculiar to only Yoruba tribe? This is actually wrong, she probably wouldnt have wanted such a burial.. Are they not supposed to bury her according to Islamic rites? How would she get to Janna if shes in the company of mamiwater |
