That is even the reason I didn't engage him, I don't want the thread to degenerate to insults and discourage others from contributing. I see threads like this on sensible forums like reddit and lipstickalley and they go smoothly beginning to end.

Just leave that uncivilised thing alone.
Lol we have a long way to go on this forum...let us just ignore him

But blindness isn't hereditary

So how comehuh??
Its hereditary oh. Most eye problems are affected by genes except the one where somebody had an accident or somebody has acquired an eye-wasting disease like diabetes

Lmao , so acidosis is woman lover because he said women shouldn’t work abi? Nigerian women never ceases to amaze me . Laziness will make them support any rubbish that supports that laziness ideology.

Acidosis is a traditional alpha male who shuns out misogynistic words on this section/forum at large about women.. of all the comments on this thread I haven’t seen anyone hating on women but it seems you just knew the word “hate”
I havent seen such from him, Ive only seen him make balanced comments but I may be wrong

You are actually the one coming across as bitter and hateful in this thread..i doubt you even read up to half of the posts before you started cursing

For your information being an alpha male has nothing to do with misogyny; it just denotes a particular set of personality traits seen in certain types of man... in fact alpha males are more likely to treat women well because their masculinity is not threatened by minor issues

With the time she married and the age of her baby as someone pointed out, it is obvious pregnancy trapped the man into the marriage and he is taking his pound of flesh. Perhaps ordinarily he would have fallen in love properly with OP but with the likes of his mum constantly reminding him of the OP coming to his life to milk him, that may not happen soon.
Hm. I wish she had just said it herself instead of leaving people to dig it out and begin to use harsh words on her.. doesnt she know this already?

Well I believe the man will respect her more and she will feel better if she just leaves his issue and gets her own money. At least, he can still grow to love her later on once he sees her resourcefulness and how she took up the challenge and made a bright life for herself.

Is blindness hereditary too?

Please any explanations to this.
Yes, there are hundreds of inherited eye diseases. Even if its not blindness, wearing glasses for short or long-sightedness still runs in families

It's not a stupid decision to desire a family. I think she's just unlucky to have a selfish man. A reasonable man with a decent job and income would have supported her in many ways. A woman can be "jobless" yet fulfilled. That's how it's originally planned. Failed men like this is why everyone is standing up against men today. It's the same reason we have several calls for gender equality, feminism, and the rest.

This man has failed in his role. A woman's true fulfilment is not in the kind of hard life and struggles men go through daily. A woman is supposed to make her family her number one priority and that's what she's done. I can't blame her for doing what's right.
Hmm... why cant you clone yourself and make more monickers so that we will be reading something good on a regular basis instead of all these women-haters

But how would he do it? Anybody can make a monicker if they have the data, no matter how stupid they are.

And he cant really help it if people would rather read about Tacha than something reasonable

On the contrary, politics is the section that needs to be cleansed the most but really its just a reflection of how decorum and interpersonal interactions in the country have deteriorated

It wouldnt be like that inside here if life were normal for people in the real world

See how easy it was for you to get my point but he read it upside down and came back to start typing upside down "logic" and shedding tears everywhere.
CHoccolaTE:
My post pained him jare, that's why he is letting emotions cloud his reasoning. Men are also emotional like women, let no woman be fooled into thinking otherwise. Difference is that unlike women they are more prone to displaying violent emotions.
If he disagreed with you he could have just stated his point sensibly instead of showing his poverty of reason.. HIV+ person no be human being? Mtchew

Interesting thread but some people cannot stand on their lane without making trouble. Make your unpopular opinion and leave and stop attacking others view.

I wish Nigerians can start following simple instruction tongue
The unpopular opinion is not necessarily just meant to be left like that; its supposed to give a new perspective and open up a debate

If you state your opinion and somebody disagrees with it, I dont see anything wrong with them stating their case but of course some people will just become irrational and start spewing invectives without any reasonable idea behind it

same way the op's mother wore rag and gave her a bright future...smh life funny sha. Personally i dont believe in attending expensive secondary schools in nigeria, from my experience the only benefit you get attending those expensive secondary schools is meeting children from elite families.
i genuinely feel like the teaching and exposure is better, at least in some of those schools. but if you dont attend one, it is not the end of the world.

About Nigeria been backward - seems most frustrated ladies can't bring out there points without saying that line.
So to you, the white countries are advanced why we are backward? Backwardness is relative.
We have our settings and culture and that is not backwardness.
You can't be a copy cat for everything else it's better the whites come to rule you and change your country name, currency, constitution to US and lose your identity.
You are not serious, what has being a lady got to do with lamenting about Nigeria? Do you know how many guys will still say the same thing and worse?

Youre just proving her point... if somebody has a wrong mentality according to you, why must her being a woman come into it?

Okay... I asked you before and you didnt answer so I thought you were just avoiding the question

I advise you to ignore him for now and focus on finding another way of making money so you wont be suffering... there are some good suggestions here

Maybe when youre in a better position financially you will feel more confident in confronting him and he in turn may respect you more

Even if she didn't say it, did you really believe yourself when you said the op has not ask for help from her husband?

There's is no way that man will go broke with what he earns to the point of not having money to give her if he is not deliberate with his action. That man spends 2-3wks at work during which his food and toiletries are catered for by the company. For him to go the mile of putting his daughter in an above average school in their locality shows he will go miles for what he places value on.

It is either op has not said why her hubby treats her so or it is a spell, because in the ordinary situations where things like this play out, the man usually stock the house with enough food, possibly buy wife's clothes, does not allow her work at all and yet doesn't not give her cash. This is a case of my business with you is our child you are your own business.

It seems as though Op wouldn't have been his choice of wife if he had his way. Their child is four already with no sibling unless it is natural delay, it is atypical of a Nigerian man with a job except the OP is responsible otherwise it begs another question of their sex life. I don't think that man sees Op as his wife, he is only still there because of the child.
This is why I asked her if her husband was angry with her

A typically irresponsible husband would lavish money outside and include their daughter in the punishment. Yet he even sent their daughter to an elite school

If its because he wants her to stay at home, he would give her money to discourage her from looking for work or from working for 12K .. even if its just chicken change he would beg her to manage it

I feel they have some issue between them that she doesnt want to explain... allowing your own wife to languish in the house without any particular explanation is a deliberately cruel action

Well she doesnt have to explain it but if she doesnt, then no point bringing the issue here with incomplete information and getting an advice that doesnt even suit what shes going through

The other aspect of it is just to ignore him and find another way of supplementing her income since the man is not interested

I am convinced that this whole thing is just a huge psychodrama designed to distract us from the fact that the country is going down the drain.

No way can a presidents wife open up like this while he's still in office without being silenced or killed. Not even in a developed country
