Miss if you can give me 20 examples of "world renowned" billionaires who tries hard to be a fashion statement. I will whole heartedly agree with your assumption.
My assumption is that it doesnt matter how much money the person earns, so it would defeat the assumption if I were to do that

Besides, Trump and Dangote dont fit your description...they are both very well dressed. You are talking more about the kind of trashy fashion styles that are part of celebrity culture (relatively less money) vs. businessmen and politicians (more money)..its just a coincidence that the two seem as if theyre linked

No not really... It is just 4 the entertainment purpose.

Also.. I think the video on your thread is that of the "swange dance/kwaghir"(entertainment) and not that of the masquerade stuff.
I said in my original post that the masquerade that I want to know about is at 3:40

Yeah, exactly. If it did, that means he would write "fiancee in jilbaab"

Hijab in literal sense, yeah it's correct, but hijab in sharee'ah sense, no it's wrong.
So you wont take it that the OP meant it in a literal sense? Obviously he wont write "fiancee wearing veil" because it would sound rude to the people who are marrying

I agree with you to some extent. But to a larger extent i disagree with you. It is like choosing Hushpuppi over Dangote. Or choosing Huncho from Migos over Trump. With an exception to youths you will discover that fully matured adults. Who are making legit and and Crazy money have little or no interest in how they look and what they wear.
You are purposely selecting trashy, money-miss-road people with less money and comparing with elder statesmen who have reached higher echelons... what about those crazy, brilliant scientists and mathematicians you met in school who always washed and wore 1 shirt? What about Obasanjo who always makes sure he wears ridiculous agbada...this is to do with mentality, class and culture and not money itself

Migos come from a culture where wealth is worn externally to show one has broken out of poverty...you will still find 50 year old men from their neighbourhoods dressing in sportswear, chains and gold teeth if they have the money. Trump comes from a conservative upper-class background...wealth is still shown but much more subtly. It will still show in other ways apart from their dressing

By the way expensive clothing doesnt always have to be bright and ostentatious ...you can bet that Trump's suits and outfits are extremely expensive. At a point you have to spend more on fine clothes because they are better quality and last longer.

And you have to dress according to the occasion you attend and the vocation you have. If you are the owner of a start-up company it has a different dynamic to if you are a politician

Just because somebody is not wearing loud suits and gold chains, it doesnt mean he doesnt care how he looks and its not an excuse to dress badly either

The State Library before Ogbete is a house of rodents and hudlums.. His predecessors left high standards that he has never come close to making a match.
You can repeat this 100 times. How can a library be looking like that? Very disgusting place

Luckily there is the national library

I also referred to dress sense as a whole. I meant the whole dess sense doesn't really matter to those of worth. Someone like the owner of Twitter and Facebook who wears one branded shirt everyday. Or in Nigeria Osho Baba who wears his comrade regalia everyday. It is only useful to those who are yet to discover their self worth.
I have to disagree...all that simple dressing stuff is due to a mixture of the persons personal mentality and their branding/trademark. Techies like the owner of twitter/facebook just have that type of single-minded personality that makes them less focused on their dressing. it also makes them appear more trustworthy to us, the stakeholders (they need us to trust them so that we will give them our personal details and they can sell them).

Oshiomhole is a very ambitious person and was also trying to come across to voters as down-to-earth because of his trade unionist background.

Those people have aides who manicure their simplistic image...if they need to change it for any reason, they will

There are plenty of wealthy, self-fulfilled people who also take pride in their dress. Its a fallacy to say that to have high self-esteem, you must let your appearance go to the dogs. Its not a sign of anything except your own personal preference and style

I would like to think that no scientific fact written in the Qur'an was not entirely unknown at the time. As a little bit of research could reveal that the Quran did not pioneer the discovery of most of the scientific theories it now claims to have uncovered. Perhaps, such knowledge was not as widespread at the time and the book only helped to 'publicise' them. And it probably deserves some accolades for that.

But that is, of course, ignoring the seemingly ridiculous number of scientific explanations the Quran got totally wrong. The production of sperm from the ribs is an incredibly laughable example.
I am not too familiar with the ins and outs of the source of their ideas but in times past muslims were at the forefront of a lot of critical discovery which they claim originated from their faith, so I tend to take their word for it

Also bear in mind that the Arabic in the Qur'an is extremely old and requires at least over 5 years of continuous study to comprehend...as such some ideas may not translate well and may serve as fresh meat for detractors who quickly latch onto the perceived error and spread it as a falsehood without delving into its scriptural origin. The same happens in Christianity when so-called preachers dont bother to study the source material and cant defend themselves in an argument

I seem to agree to your post, especially the first part. But on the second part, are you sure about it?

Most religious beliefs are easily displaced with some knowledge of basic science. And I think it is understandable, although reprehensible, when religious leaders try to shield their followers from accepting logic and the scientific method in weighing their pre-held beliefs.
Yes, im sure. note that im not talking about religious beliefs, but scientific facts that the Qur'an backs up...like how a baby is formed in the womb, geological facts, etc. They were light years ahead in that regard

Plus Islam actively encourages followers to seek wisdom and knowledge...its actually in the hadeeth... any Imam that preaches against it is preaching against Islam since Islam is not afraid of being probed by science and logic..they dont need to shield the followers from anything if theyre serious

Its actually a stain on their preaching if they cannot effectively counteract somebody's questions or queries with Qur'anic knowledge

What I don’t understand about Muslims is this, they clearly don’t like the conditions of Islamic state...many of them leave their country like Iran, Syria and the likes and get to uk and America yet they go around clamoring for this same nonsense Muslim takeover
Their behaviour in other countries is very irritating. They will travel to places and try to force their religion on the people living there

But if you travel to theirs you will have to follow their own religious codes to the letter otherwise you'll spend the rest of your time there in a jail cell

Islam for one, is a notorious promoter of ignorance. The alma-jiri menace in the north is an example. Boko Haram are against 'western education' as part of their agenda. I have been to a 'was' where the imam was confidently telling the listening followers that university education is not permitted by Allah. And that in fact science is 'haram.'
I am not usually one to defend Islam but that imam was just an ignorant idiot...Islam and Muslims were behind some of the biggest advancements in science and mathematics...

What the backward imam said had nothing to do with Islam..he's just promoting a particular agenda that exists to keep certain regions of the country in bondage
