No, TLS is not responsible for that. The BHC is.

Congratulations bro. If I may ask, is tls responsible for stamping or fixing the vignettes sticker on our passport?

Please declare it.
Someone I know got a 10 year ban because prior refusals were not declared in a
2019 application. This came to light when the student dependant visa was refused last week. Spouse just came into the UK 10 days ago but the dependant is stuck in Nigeria for the next few years.

Some people might say that they got away with it but you might not, so play by the rules, please.
ammierie:
Good evening everyone, please an agent said I should not declare my past visa denial to the school I’m applying to. I don’t know how this works, am I supposed to declare or not?

You can start with Argos card (£800 limit with about £200 immediately available) if you've been in the UK for between 1- 2 years (ideally, 2), make purchases like 2ce/3ce and pay in full before your BNPL plan ends - 1st purchase will be delivered to your address as a form of verification. You can choose to buy using Normal Credit (pay before your next statement date to avoid interest - usually within a month) or Buy Now, Pay Later (3 months to pay before interests start accruing).

After this, you can apply for Amazon's Capital One Credit card - initial £800 limit with £500 available for immediate spend (you can make purchases with it - interest free before next statement date), transfer cash to your account or withdraw via ATM (higher charges).

You'll need to call them to inform them about the address change and what has happened. They will let you know what to do.
Abisola2021:
Good morning people,
I applied for my NI immediately I got my brp 2 days after I got into London. I used my hotel address hoping it'll be ready just like the brp (I never knew that was not a good one.) I applied on Feb 5 and I have left the hotel since Feb 8. I was told it'll be ready in 16 weeks so I was chilling. Not until a friend who entered last week got his own yesterday.
I called the hotel immediately to confirm if they received any package on my behalf and they said no. Please, how do I track to know it has been delivered, or if not, how can I change the delivery address to my new address. People I asked said it should have been delivered by now.
Please I need help. I got a job through a referral but I couldn't push through because NI was requested.

What tax code is being used for him? Does he have 2 jobs?
He will need to call HMRC to fix issues with tax codes.
If you don't get round to it before the tax year ends, he'll be automatically refunded for any tax excess that he's paid.
He can also sign up here to check what tax/wage/salary info that HMRC holds: https://www.gov.uk/log-in-register-hmrc-online-services

Your UK masters is an accepted proof of English.

You really dont need to change the address as long as all other details (name, passport number) are correct.
But if you really, really want to, you should be ready to pay about N8,500.

If they are not applying with you, they need to show their funds.
If they are applying with you, they dont need to show it but you need to have it ready just incase it might be requested by the ECO.
donkdonk:
Please house I need some experienced answer to this question. If your dependants(spouse and kids) are to later join you in the UK, and your kids are US and Canadian citizens(countries that do not need to show funds available for upkeep), Is it only your spouse that is required to show proof of upkeep funds or all your dependants? I read somewhere that if your dependants are citizens of countries that are exempt from showing proof of funds and they are applying with you, then they dont need to show funds but if they are applying seperately, then you might need to show funds for them. I honestly need an up to date response to this house. Thanks for the good work you guyz have been doing. Cheers

I'm glad that it ended well for you. I'm praying that you get a sponsored job to enable you make the switch ASAP.
Yemsot:
My journey so far in the UK. (Please pardon my long epistle. This is to encourage someone.)

I came to the UK in 2020 via student visa for PGCE Primary with QTS (Initial Teacher Training) in the University of Wolverhampton. Training to be a teacher in the UK was not an easy feat for me (I did not have time for myself, neither could I do any part-time job until summer.) We had lectures Monday to Friday from 9am till 4pm, after which we were given loads of assignmnents...........
EXACTLY eight weeks after my student visa application, my graduate visa application was approved! I have now been granted the leave to remain in the UK for two years.

PS
I have started applying for jobs with employers that have sponsor license.

There are full-time bank contracts - there have been a lot in the past year and till this moment. If they need you for the full-time hours, they tell you and pay you for that. There's usually a possibility of been converted to permanent if the manager gets full-time permanent budget funding for the position but thats not always guaranteed.

Those looking at work sponsorship should focus on the Full-Time permanent position as that's what they can be sponsored on. But if in the UK, non-clinical individuals can join banks to get some NHS experience as this most often than not, gives an edge.
Prosperity4All:
Thanks for your clarification.
I agree with your submissions except for Full-time on Bank contracts, since they do not even guarantee when you would be engaged/called up.
Also for a newbie understanding, I think we should just say focus on Full-time/permanent.
TravelRe: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by mimilyrics: 11:18pm On Feb 11, 2022
Just a bit of clarification. Permanent and full-time jobs are not the same.
Full-time just means that the 37.5 weekly hours is fully utilized. You can be full-time on a Fixed-Term and some Bank contracts, it doesn't mean that it is permanent.
There are also part-time contracts that are permanent.
Prosperity4All:
Permanent and Full-time are the same. That's what you can try your hands on.
But they would most likely tell you they aren't recruiting internationally for Assistants/Carers. If you are a fully qualified Nurse then go ahead for Permanent/Full-time openings.

Stay away from Contract/Bank or Part-time except it's a remote job that you can do without relocating.

London transport is free for under - 11s. Discounted for 11 & above.
giselle237:
@askgod07 most movements can be done via bus and you can get day tickets in most cities for 4 to 5 pounds. This means you can travel unlimited no of times on that day via bus. The kids wont pay for transport in London. I think maybe the one above 5, might be differnet. Check transport for london website. For evry other city check the name of the city and then transport services. You will get the answer.

You can apply right away, if you want.
Applying more than 6 months before the main applicant's visa expires is not a must but it just makes it easier in terms of access to healthcare, having a BRP and less explanations to make in your application. You can check the 1st page for an explanation I made around this.
Dampops:
Yes, the second child was listed as a dependant...only not included in the application. I actually told them that the application must not exceed 6-months to the end of her Masters programme...but i'm not sure if that is correct..
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by mimilyrics: 9:42am On Feb 09, 2022
As soon as they want to. Hope they listed her as a dependant on their applications to avoid explanations.
Dampops:
Good morning house. A friend just got his visa (he is dependent while wife is the main applicant). They have two kids but only one (the daughter) was included in the application, and will be travelling with them. I want to know when they can apply for the other kid? The wife is going for a one-year programme, by the way (January to December 2022). Thanks in advance
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by mimilyrics: 9:35am On Feb 09, 2022
Usually a mix of 3 IDs are required. If your employer applies for you, you'll get a list of the different documents that you can use.

Usually, Passport/BRP, Driver’s licence and Bank statement with your name and current address are enough. If you don't have a licence, your passport, BRP and bank statement are usually enough. You normally will need to fill your NI in your application form. This is based on my employer’s process.

Also, you can only do a basic DBS (not standard or enhanced) by yourself. Why don't you wait to get a job and do it for you because depending on the role, you might need a standard, an enhanced check or an enhanced check with barred list which would mean that you just wasted money on the basic one that you did.
ibk5891:
Does it mean one ant do a DBS check unless you have your NI & Drivers license?

I thought my passport and BRP should be sufficient.

Just to be clear, which marriage certificate do you have? The one with the church name or the one with the federal govt logo? Licenced churches gove the same certificate that you'd normally get if you had a court wedding.
You also need to prove that you have a geniune marriage by showing pictures, joint bills, joint investments/properties, evidence that youve lived together for at least 2 years, if applicable e.t.c
jum33:
A friend that just got a job in UK want to start applying for his family application but realize that his evidence for marriage is only a church wedding certificate no court wedding certificate.
Can a church certificate suffice for marriage certificate that will be recognized by UK embassy ? And if no ,how can he get a document proving that his marriage is legally binding and has been living which his spouse for at least more than 2 years ( embassy requirement).
According to him, some local government he tried to seek for help told him it not possible to produce a backdated wedding certificate while some says it possible, so he now being afraid of not falling victim to local government scammers which can even earn him a ban in uk embassy if the certificate is later discovered not to be genuine.
