Check with your bank or online for black market rates. Last time I checked, it was N500 to £1.
mdeeokoye:
Pls which bank are u using and how much is the rate currently?

It's normal in preparation for CAS issuance; I guess that they are also trying to be prepared for when schools can resume traditional learning.
Yes, your mum can sponsor you so it's okay; no need to transfer to your account (parents and legal guardians are acceptable sponsors). Just print off your mum's bank statement (+ a letter of sponsorship from her) with the complete amount you require for the last 28 days and upload

Omah7979:
Good morning gurus in the house please I have a question to ask

Recently, my school sent me an email to complete different forms on my dashboard ie (immigration history,a copy of my passport, they’re requesting a Skype interview, and financial document)
I’ve submitted everything but I am confused about the financial documents cause

1) the money is still in my moms account

2) do I use my moms account since she’s to sponsor my academics?

3) from what month to what month do I print?

4) do I transfer the money into my account and wait 28 days before I print to submit to them?

Please can someone help me.

Yes, I know someone who did.
Read https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-entrepreneur/switch-to-this-visa and if you've got further questions, I'd see if I can get him on here to answer any further questions you may have.

Aprokodaughter:
Good morning, please has anyone or does anyone knows someone who has use the graduate entrepreneurial visa route to settle in the UK after school? (Startup visa)

How did you or the person go about it?

You are right. That's why I said if the school is to refund; it wasn't an absolute statement. Some don't and those that do will deduct an administrative fee if visa is denied and they are to refund.
Phatkings:
He has to read the refund policy
I think some schools don't refund until evidence of visa denial is showed I maybe wrong tho...
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 9:03am On May 04, 2020
The decision to pay the deposit is up to you but if you've made up your mind and you know that you won't change it, proceed. This is because if you change your mind and your school is to refund, it will be minus Administrative fees.
pittoilet:
Hello once again, I will be proceeding to make deposit payment as against September, deadline is June 1st but I want to make payment early because I am paying through form A and it can take up to a week, if not more than (better to be safe).

Recently, the pm said schools will be opening in the coming weeks. I am kinda optimistic about resuming in September amidst all these coronavirus issue. Moreover, September is still like 4 months from now, a lot can happen within then.

Advisable to proceed with deposit payment?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
No, the husband can't apply for a Tier 2 visa if his being able to get a visa all stems from his wife's anticipated Tier 4 visa. The husband would need to apply for a Tier 4 dependant visa which allows him to live and work in the UK while the wife has a valid stay. The husband's visa might not be ready in time for the wife's resumption since I reckon that the wife would want to submit her application as early as possible within the 3 months timeframe before resumption which would likely be before the wedding in November; UKVI timelines can be a bit longer than stated at times.
No one can say for sure that the husband will get a dependant visa, it all boils down to putting correct information on the application as well as being able to prove that there's a genuine marital relationship between the couple while also being able to show strong ties to Nigeria and submitting accurate financial information/evidence amongst other things.
Dfazz:
Please I will appreciate a head up here, can a spouse apply for a tier 2 visa while in Nigeria for her partner after securing a tier 4 visa for herself.
The partner is in UAE planning to return by October 2020.
The wife has just secured admission for January 2021 and looking at applying for her tier 4 visa by August, the visa might be issued before husband arrive, they are planning to get married by November 2020.
Her fear is if it will be possible for the husband to get a tier 2 visa before she resume for studies in January 2021 and what are the likely chances for a denial.

Have you sought external sponsorship yet?
Note that the 20 hours work will probably only be able to cover your rent (depending on where you rent), food and transport (And you might get a job that doesn't give you up to the 20 hours) but it will not even make any difference in the payment of your fees and this will distract you from your studies.

You are very right about the high international fees associated with Social work in most UK schools but below are a few with reasonably cheap tuitions for the program:
University of Sunderland - 6,600/YR
University of Derby - 14,700 for the two years. To be paid in the first year
Liverpool Hope University - 5,700/YR

You can check these schools out and choose based on your preferences. All the best.

I can't tell you what questions to expect because it varies based on your initial responses but just know about why you want to study nursing, your motivations and aspirations, how your past experiences have shaped you, why you're a good fit for the program and the school, how the modules will benefit you and what you're bringing to the class, why the UK. Also have adequate information about the course; also expect to be asked few questions about nursing. When you know all these, it becomes easier to answer.

You can use same account for the 28-days and all payments associated with your visa process as long as making the payments doesn't make your balance dip after you submit your online application.
Any bank should do but check with them to confirm their daily/monthly international spending limits.
GTBANK currently has a monthly online/POS transaction limit of $1,500.

Previously unrecorded deaths.
Phenmeson:
Was it 4000deaths just yesterday April 29th or 4000 unrecorded in general since the pandemic. I watched BBC news yesterday but can't found it on any. Prime minister can't think of getting the economy back if UK recorded 4000death rate just for a day. Since the outbreak, the maximum daily death rate in UK is less than 1200. Look on the chart
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 9:42pm On Apr 30, 2020
It's not 4,000, it was just a little over 400. The number only rose due to the addition of the backlog of care home deaths.

Gavrelino123:
Chief, You are partly correct.

Correction!!!!

Over 4,000 not 400.

Even BBC showed it was over 4,000 yesterday..

Good evening my boss.you are correct, but one of the reason I said so is that I read from a news on net, where one personnel from educational sector is suggesting to Home Office to Relax student visa as one of the measures to attract foreign student, rather than to reduce tuition fee to attract foreign student. please Justwise can you explain this issue of UK government introducing student Cap,in order to control the number of students each university will admit, though many universities in UK are kicking against it.pls throw more light on it .thanks
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
Your school will be better placed to advise on what visa would be suitable for you because the visa you will apply for will depend on your school's license for that particular program. And yes, you'd need to have enough money to cover your travel expenses in your account+ a 6 month bank statement (No lump lodgements) + letter from your school and other requirements like in visit visas.

2 visa options
You can apply for the standard visitor visa but studying (not more than 30 days) shouldn't be the main reason for your visit.
Otherwise, you'd have to apply for the Short-term study visa. Short-term study visa is only for schools/courses with Tier 4 licenses (not sure that a Distance Learning Program is covered under T4) or listed by the following:
Accreditation Body for Language Services, Accreditation Service for International Colleges, Accreditation UK, British Accreditation Council, Education and Training Inspectorate (in Northern Ireland), Estyn (in Wales), Education Scotland, Independent Schools Inspectorate, Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted), Office for Students, Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education

Hello guys,
I got a conditional later turned unconditional offer to take a Pgcert distance learning course at Swansea University which would require a 3day one on one class.

What specific type of Visa would I need? I would not want to stay up to a week there.

Would I need to have that said money in my account?

I would love to know if there are any other things I would need to know that could be if benefit.

Please feel free to comment and advise. Thanks.

It was just over 400 deaths. Deaths from care homes were previously not added to the daily count but were added yesterday. The increase was as a result of 3,811 backdated coronavirus fatalities which were added onto the total count yesterday.

This is true. To avoid being affected by ForEx fluctuations, always have more funds than you require in your account to avoid your balance going below the amount you require when it's converted to pounds.

pretty1986:
. Good morning my people, let me also mention what I learnt from other gurus in this thread. In order to be in a more better chance,it is also advisable to have more than the required amount of money in ur account because forex exchange Fluctuation. Example, if the required amount is 9M try have like 9.3m or 9.4m in ur account, so that if Naira depreciate against pounds, it will not affect that particular required amount of money in ur account. Assuming Oanda.Com give u 480 naira per 1 pounds, try use 500 naira per 1pounds to calculate the very required amount of money that suppose to be in ur account for ur visa Application. Because UK embassy uses Oanda.Com to do their calculation not black market rate.Pls other Gurus in the house should throw more light on this so that new applicants can learn.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
The 28 days count starts from the day after the lodgement of the full money you require. The day it is deposited doesn't count; you start counting from the day the lodgement reflects in your opening balance which is usually the next working day after.

Ola9292:
They don’t have any business with that, yours is too just start counting 28 days from the day you have the complete required sum in you account and print for only those 28days. Whatever happens before that is not the embassy’s concern. So if you are paying in bits, the whole process might take more than 28days. E.g I need 10 million and I am paying 2milkion each day into my account,I will have 10 million at the end of business day 5,then I start counting my 28 days from day 5 or 6 but I advise day 6 to be on the safer side. That way the whole process has taken you 5 + 28 days but you only need to print out statements for the 28 days
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 1:31pm On Apr 28, 2020
The 28 days starts from the day after the judgement of the full money you require. The day it is deposited doesn't count; you start counting from the day the lodgement reflects in your opening balance.
Ola9292:
It’s very simple,if you lodge the amount in your account once, there is no problem. However, your 28 days starts counting from the day the required sum is fully lodged in your account. Count 28 days from that day and print on the 29th day to be on a safer side and make sure that required money doesn’t go less by a Naira for 28days. You can keep making small transactions during the 28days so that if bank deducts any charges,it won’t affect the main amount.

Business accounts are not allowed for sponsorship. Only international/multinational companies can sponsor and even when they are, their business accounts are not required.

g8662:
You don't need his business CAC if you are not using his business account and if the sponsor letter is not coming from his company.
If you are using his personal account and personal sponsor letter, you don't need his CAC...

His travel history will already be on their records... but you can include the photocopy of his visa and last UK airport stamp when submitting the photocopy of your sponsor's travel passport.

Just make sure that you don't lie and that the money is in your account for 28 days prior to your online application submission date. Depending on how convincing your answers, the interviewer might decide to explore your answers with other questions not asked regularly in interviews. If you're caught in a lie, you reduce your chances of passing the credibility test.
pretty1986:
. What I planned to do in my own case is that I will make sure the required amount of money go through my dad account, so that his name will appear on my bank statement and I will good get a letter from my dad which will States that he transfer the money in my account, so that it will be very easy for me to use for the purpose of my education.Meanwhile, I will tell the interviewer that the money come from my dad, whom is a business man.Pls Gurus in the house, what can u say about my idea?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by mimilyrics: 5:04pm On Nov 03, 2018
First off, you need to know what course you want to study. A degree scholarship isnt a course.

Secondly, run a Google search on schools that offer your course choice.

Thirdly, identify what scholarship options are offered by the school for those courses. You can also check for external scholarships too.
Once you find a school that suits your purposes, apply for admission via their website/ online application portal, apply for scholarship after you get admitted (some require your scholarship application during your admission process), pay your deposit (if it applies to you), Ensure to have your tuition balance plus maintenance costs in your account for 3 months or more before your resumption (this covers the CAS processing and visa application periods) /confirmed scholarship awards that cover your school and maintenance fees.
You only get your CAS starting from 3 months before your course resumption date and this entails details about your course, your qualifications and tuition.

Armstrong34:
...please I want to apply for a degree scholarship program but I don't know how to start at all

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by mimilyrics:
Start over. Start the day after the full amount is deposited into your account. This is important because only the opening statement for the day after will show that you have the required amount on the first day of your count.
Eg. On the day you deposit the required amount in your account, only your closing balance reflects the said amount. Your opening balance on any day is the cumulative sum in your account the previous day.

law001:
Thanks for your response.

Please, If I top up my account next to meet up the required sum, is it advisable I add yesterday's balance to the 28 days? Or will I have to start from when I meet up with the required sum?

I'm in a big dilemma right now.
