Before now, I didn't know that the TB test is a periquosite for requesting CAS, I only noticed when I started filling my information for CAS request.

Is this a general rule?

Pls, dont cherrypick what areas of the Tier 4 guidelines that you're comfortable with.
The section you quoted is only applicable to 16-17 year olds so if you're above 18 as you obviously are, it doesn't apply to you and your application has a very, very high probability of being refused.
If you read carefully, what you quoted also requires parental consent for living with a guardian or even travelling at all and the parental consent to travel or make living arrangements doesn't apply once you're 18 and above. The rules pertaining to T4 child student visa starts from page 62, bullet point 234 and ends on page 73, bullet point 298
Maintenance requirements for Tier 4 general students (18 and above) starts from page 52, bullet point 177 to Page 61, section VI of bullet point 230.


Note: No one can ever reduce your maintenance fees as long as it's not been reduced in the T4 rules. This can get your application refused by UKVI.
If you're above 18, the court documents certifying the guardianship by your guardian must have been made at a point when you were within the legal age limits. If it's coming few months/weeks before submitting your application, you're in for a very tough experience so why not ask your guardian to open an account which bears your name but which you can't withdraw from without her consent if she/he doesn't trust you enough to put the money in your account.
Further Note: Guardians are typically used in three situations: guardianship for an incapacitated senior (due to old age or infirmity), guardianship for a minor (due to death of parents or incapacitation of parents to care for their child(ren), and guardianship for developmentally disabled adults. Legally, guardianship ends when a child attains the age of 18 or when a court terminates it (in peculiar situations).

Pls use this format because in the UKVI guidance, they need to know for what period the scholarship/sponsorship is for. If it's not there, your application will most likely be refused.

1. For me its too brief as against UKVI rules that expect amount of Scholarship to be stated or that they will take care of all bills.

You can't.

You may be able to change (switch) to a Tier 4 (General) student visa if you’re in the UK under any of the following visas or schemes:

Tier 2 (General)
Tier 2 (Intra-company transfer)
Tier 2 (Minister of religion)
Tier 4 (Child)

It doesn't matter when your biometrics and interview appointment is, the tuition fee and maintenance costs in your acct must have clocked 28days before you submitted your application and make payment online. So you have to show a 28 day statement for 28 days prior to your submission because the ECO will only count 28 days backward from your online submission date.

An affidavit is good. You can include an attestation too.
A brief explanation in the additional information section providing information on the circumstances on the non availability of your birth certificate will be good too.

I’m a little bit confused on the parent sponsorship thing. According to the visa guide, if an applicant is being sponsored by his or her parents, a birth certificate showing proof of relationship should be presented.

What happens if the parent doesn’t have birth certificate but age declaration affidavit from a high court?? Will it that suffice? Or the parent should also get attestarion from NPC.

Did she just conveniently become your guardian weeks or months to your application when you've obviously gone over the age limit required for guardianship or adoption? Or was this document obtained while you were within the age limit required?
The UKVI can spot a document that was generated for the sole purpose of bypassing the rules and it wouldn't be nice to get a refusal and a ban due to misrepresentation.

Thank you for your response sir. My Aunt want to ask act as my legal guardoan and we have obtained a court affidavit to back it up as my legal guardian. She has also written a letter to give me permission to her fund during my period of studies.

Your aunt cannot sponsor you. Only your parent, legal guardians (with court documents to prove), a UK school, your home Government, International company, International organization or the UK government can sponsor you.
You'd be better off if she transfers the money to your acct.

That was probably the school requirement. Some Schools require deposits of £1,000 to £3000-4000 before processing CAS while the balance can be paid anytime from when the visa is issued up till the school's deadline for payment.

That's because there's no easy answer to this. You'd have to provide a divorce certificate that proves that your marriage has been dissolved or a court order on the children's custody otherwise, you might be seen as trying to con the UK visa system.

Someone currently holds a tier 4 visa and has successfully enrolled. now she plans to bring in her dependents(two being her children) . she is no longer with the father of her children and when she filled her visa application form at the time- she filled 'married' because she has a spouse.

This spouse and herself were in the process of legalizing their relationship as at that time..

Problem is, she does not want this spouse to come anymore for personal reasons and insists on still bringing in her children.

I know the rule states unless you have proof of sole responsibility (ie from the high court, etc) or a single mum, both parents must apply. She doesn't want her spouse to come anymore, what can you(the gurus in the house) advise?

You don't need your birth certificate for a UK visa. Your passport is okay for that. You'd only need a birth certificate if you're also applying with your (a) child as evidence of a parental relationship or consent (consent letter + Passport go hand in hand for kids not yours or in a shared custody arrrangement etc).
PS: An affidavit works in cases where it's impossible to provide the birth certificate.

If you say you do business, you need to submit proof to that effect just like you'd need an introduction letter from your employer if you work in an organization.
If you intend to include a property that is a source of income, you'd also need to submit proof of that.
It's easy for people to say what they do or have but proof of this is what UKVI requires.

Yes but you'll have to apply for a visiting Visa which will be issued based on the merit of your application and not because your wife schools in the UK.

Some Schools offer partial and full scholarships based on variety of criteria. First identify the school you wanna attend and check for their scholarship offerings or run a Google search on postgraduate scholarships for masters: results will bring up schools with funding.

All documents that can prove that you've got major stakes/investments that will bring you back to Nigeria is good.
If you feel that it will help proven ties to your home country, then pls do so by all means.
But if you're adding CAC documents, then pls be ready to explain how the organization will run in your absence (or what structure is in place to handle the comoany til you return) as that might crop up and that of your wife since you'll be away for the duration of your course. The ECO might wonder how both of you wanna leave a thriving business without a plan for that long.
It's not always the case though and it oftentimes depends on what you filled in your application.

No one can tell you the current amount your sponsor needs to have in his account because this is dependent on what tuition fees you have left to pay to your school and your 9 months (minimum required) maintainance funds depending on whether your school is outside or inside London.

I submitted my application and did me biometric on the 6th of September and I paid for priority, tomorrow will make it 22nd working days and yet decision has not been made on my application.
I have call ukvi severally and also sent an email them. On the 2nd of October they told me that they have escalated my application and that I will hear from them within 15 working days, but my problem is that I don't have that 15 working days to wait as my latest date of enrolment is 15th of October.
I can really tell what the problem is.

Looks like there are slight delays due to a last minute surge in applications.
A friend got his visa in 2 weeks (10 working days after submission) using priority: he had his biometrics on Sept 10 and got his decision and pick up email on Sept 24 which was last week Monday. He only slightly missed his latest date of arrival and missed a module already, so plan to be a Lil patient.

That's basically aimed at people from the EU at the moment to put checks on the free movement being enjoyed by EU citizens.

You need the following documents:
Valid international passport
Two passport-size photographs
Application fees: minimum of (N3,500-N8, 000) it varies.
Bottom line: You may have to negotiate to get the best price.

You can get your police clearance report using any of these 2 methods:

*Applying in person at the force CID, Police Criminal Registry, Alagbon, Lagos State (getting it from Nigeria).
*Applying from your state through Nigeria Police Force website ( http://www.npf.gov.ng/character/index.php )

You can apply in person at the Central Criminal Registry in Lagos, the address is as follows:

If you applied at the criminal registry in Lagos, you can get it within a day, but it could take some days if you applied at the state command office.

[b]Note: If you are applying from your state command (Abuja in this case), you may have to wait between 5-7days because it will still be passed to the Criminal registry office in Lagos.

Documents missing from your list:

- Copy of the Tier 4 student’s current visa/BRP (front and back), (if applying separately).
- Letter from the university confirming Tier 4 student is currently enrolled, (if applying separately).
- Marriage certificate showing evidence of marriage where the dependant is a spouse (you do not need to submit this if applying for an extension of an existing Tier 4 dependant visa within the UK).
- Evidence of continuing relationship with your partner if you have lived apart for some time (if applying separately). You can evidence this via emails, phone/skype logs, plane tickets from visiting one another, family photos, covering letter laying out your position etc. (This is applicable if the main tier 4 applicant has gotten his/her Visa and gone to the UK without you, his dependent).

2. Your wedding invitation isn't required. Submit your wedding certificate instead.
