nereushouse: Sorry what you're going through madam. But I think your husband is a under a spell. Prayer is also a Key. Also, I know a Marriage counselor who could help by counsel. You can DM me if you don't mind. Which spell? We should stop spiritualizing wilful misconducts and take responsibility for our actions! If it was the wife sleeping around, would you say she is under a spell? |

wagzy37: It’s not a guarantee but a possibility. Even in the west, splitting of property and child support is not a guarantee albeit, it’s a common trend.
Section 72 (1) of the Nigerian Matrimonial Causes Act is the basis for every settlement of property of divorced parties. This section grants discretion to courts to settle property of divorced couples in a manner that is “… just and equitable in the circumstances of the cases ….”.
All he needs is a great lawyer and he could have custody of the kids. You forget that Nigeria is adopting western cultures and policies every day. Get custody of the children he is not close to going by the narration or get custody on the grounds that their mother poses a danger to the children through her wayward lifestyle, abuse of drugs or has been clinically diagnosed to be mentally unfit to continue to provide care? Worst still no Nigerian high court judge will grant him custody of their daughters, who are minors and his impregnation of another outside his marriage is a proof, he has no moral grounds to fight for custody. His lawyers must have to prove that he has been present in their daughters' lives, involved in their day to day care, their education etc and most importantly, how do the girls feel about their father (that is where my skill comes in ) Can he afford elite lawyers more than the likes of the sons of Atiku, IBB whose estranged wives won custody of their children. |

wagzy37: Agree to what exactly? She bought him, but who is coming here and wailing? Not the man.
It's no mistake, but if there's anyone here, she's the fool and you are just typing with your emotions all over the place. The man will go and camp in his new baby mama's house while the wife will still be wailing, talking to whomever and their dog how he was a deadbeat. Besides, the man apparently doesn't have as much as the wife. He can sue for the children and get child support from the woman - or better still, file for divorce and they equally split their assets. Who will lose?
Have some logical sense here.. I know your emotions are running wild. Women should allow men lead. She had been the one coming up with different things throughout the marriage and not allowing the man lead. If I got a dollar for the number of "I" I read, I would become a millionaire.
Lastly, you ladies are just funny. The man wanted more babies, you said no.. But you can decide to have a baby even if the man says he doesn't want any ba? Nonsense! You calling the man names just shows how it hurts you and her. The more painful thing is, y'all know deep-down that you had a hand it it. If not, you won't feel that much pain. Is it the same lady he wants her to abort the pregnancy? Share a weblink that cites that in Nigerian law that would guarantee half of the assets? On what grounds would a judge in Nigeria grant him custody of the children and child support from their mother? As in, he gets custody of the children, then his soon to be baby mama becomes the children' mother? |

Don’t kick your husband out
Don’t kick your husband out
Don’t kick your husband out
Don’t kick your husband out
Don’t kick your husband out
Don’t kick your husband out
I said it 7 times because 7 is a perfect number so that the universe will bear me witness that somebody on Nairaland warned you.
Kick him out now and you will have that peace you think you need and all that but you will regret it in the long run.
Sit down with your husband and seek out solution on how to go about the girl that is pregnant and try to retrieve your home. Don’t raise your children in a broken home. The home is already broken. |

Starzo: Lies, you're not talking to a novice
When it comes to character, women from most other African countries are more cool headed that the nigerian ones
If you're talking about women from the West I would understand, not african women.
Feminism has not corrupted those ones like naija women
Naija women now claim feminists but still want to be taken care of...nor be juju b day? If I hear! I guess you feel you are conversing with someone who have no idea of Kenyans, that is the focus. Most Nigerian men living in Kenya who are married to Kenyan women, can't try some stunts they do with Nigerian wives....most of the educated Kenyan urban women are generally more assertive and comfortably not under the shadow of their husbands, even as you relate with them, they rarely mention their marital status as Kenyans flow more on first name basis. In Kenya, ladies are in general, more empowered than guys in terms of opportunities and it is common seeing guys going to cohabit in their girlfriend's apartment, including many hustling Nigerian guys who squat with Kenyan ladies and end up becoming baby daddies. |

Starzo: And Nigerian women want what??.... intelligent mugu!
Even the most demanding east african women will not demand what an average naija leech demands.
And the woman from other countries are more appreciate compared to entitled arrogant,self-centered naija leeches
Yeye people A career minded Nigerian wife is more traditional in comparison to her Kenyan counterpart and when it comes to marriage such women tear eyes pass most Nigerian women. That man will certainly tolerate from her, what he wouldn't from the Nigerian wife. |

mariahAngel: If I were your mum, I'd leave everything and everyone behind, and relocate to the village for my sanity and peace of mind. Memories ..... My mum got her cousin who was the breadwinner of her family way back then, to leave Lagos to go back to her maternal village, leaving behind her 5 children and some of her husband's relatives with her lazy husband in Lagos. The husband was claiming to be a contractor but one naira, he was not bringing home while the wife worked herself to death, every time she was always looking for where to borrow money from to replenish her capital as she was selling second hand clothing. What broke the carmel's back was when she fainted where she was selling at Aswani market, the husband was called but he didn't show up and his excuse was he didn't have money to transport himself from Ikorodu where they lived, to Aswani. It was after she was discharged, that my mum made sure she moved to the village to fully recuperate and that caused an uproar as the man came severally to our house to confront my mum for brainwashing his wife, werey was then facing the reality of paying rent and providing for their children and his relatives who lived with them....my mom was always prepared for him. Their Parish Priest had to be involved, who through his influence got him a job in a bakery, his relatives had to move out of the house and the Priest made him to be paying the house rent and part of the feeding expenses while the wife support from her end. |
