Hey buddy, I see you've been doing a lot of reaching out to folks with ADHD, well, that's a good starting point. As for me, I was not able to solve or cure my ADHD. Personally, I do not think ADHD is curable, but what I do know is that it is completely manageable. Aside the intellectual aspect of ADHD which is completely terrible, it is actually not bad. How have I been able to manage mine? I started accepting more of what I could do, rather than things I couldn't do. I focused more on things I am more likely to excel at versus things I might struggle with.

Glad to read how you have been managing it, actually do have deep interest in it thus it was the neurodevelopmental disorder I focused on it in one of the assignments in my clinical child psychology program class.... ADHD-I, ADHD-HI, ADHD-C.

Countries like the US, Canada, UK etc, you must submit your marriage certificate to prove your marital status. If it was not needed,, the husband in the story would not be talking about going to the registry for another wedding.

Can you post link(s) to the US embassy webpage that reflects what you posted because what I have seen on their website over the years is presenting the original copy of one's marriage certificate and a photocopy of it, have never seen presenting affidavits statements as an option.

you got no idea of immigration and visa, its not nigerian embassy that will issue visa in this circumstanes but the the american embassy and it will consider how they have been living

So based on how they have been living going by the story (which has been recycled severally), will the American embassy consider them married even without their traditional marriage being registered in their local registry?

in nigeria, it is only the father that is required. this is what did Davido in and almost got him into serious trouble some years back when for all intents band purposes, he and his family attempted to kidnap imade and take her to yankee.

this is just an excerpt - there are other articles that may also say different.
but the overarching factor is Nigeria is a patriarchal society and it is often an uphill battle for the mother to get custody . all those norms we see play out in threads also play out in court.

Mothers are more likely to get custody even in a patriarchal society like Nigeria. Two years ago, the court in Abuja ruled that Atiku's son who have been divorced from his wife, to hand over their 3 sons to his ex-wife citing Islamic law that grants minors to their mothers as long they have not remarried.

A relative of mine who got divorced in Lagos, physical custody of their then 3 year old daughter was granted to his ex-wife while he got visiting rights and mandated to financially support his daughter, they only did the traditional marital rites. The best interest of the child is becoming more central even in customary courts in cases of custody of the child/children.

Start by meeting the man in public places, then get him to meet your family to identify himself so your parents/siblings get to know who he is, where he is from that is traceable etc
