gogedda: Does anyone know good and genuine BDC that can help me convert my naira to dollar. I am out of Nigeria, I have a dorm account with GTB and I would like to send some naira from my Naija account to the BDC so that they can credit my dorm account with the USD equivalent. Thanks sounds a bit long winded. I transferred from my HSBC account directly into a domicillary account. they deducted 29 pounds but I didnt mind |

AfonjaBoston: Lol i come here to "remember naija" and laugh my butt off ans people like you make that happen. Life is not too serious. Enjoy it or you will be sorry. You have a terrible way of "remembering " things. Of all the things you can be,be kind. You are where people want to be, I really dont understand why you feel a need to make people feel less about themselves. you must be a deeply unhappy person. I dont mean this in an unkind way but have you considered therapy at all? I can recommend a good one even if you havent got insurance |

I do not always agree with them though. I ll recommend cramming your DS 160. Packaging your ties and having money in the bank. Conferences do not appear to hold water anymore. Would you like to change this to a vacation? I do wish you Luck |

The bashing was rather rude and entirely unnecessary. You could have been kinder. Wouldn't have cost you any. The first 2 responders answered his query nicely. You then leapt in with assumptions .
It set my teeth on edge,I tell you. I like this thread because we are so polite to each other.i would like to keep it that way.
In other news, did I just read 13 million for a visa application? that is extortionate. the good thing is that it keeps you focused on squeezing every last benefit out of the system. Pele, you hear. it is well |

Aphrodite007: Sigh, our compulsive need to lie though. No wonder countries are closing their borders to us. I m not quite happy with the tone of this reply. I preferred the first two replies. Lying is not an exclusive preserve of Nigerians. Babies start to lie before they can talk. Poster only wanted to know whether there are any advantages to adding an extra passport number when applying. I cant help though poster. I dont think it ll reduce the cost of the visa so just answer no and jump and pass. Tier 2 visa are usually walk overs anyway as they need your tax to finance f***ing brexit |

HeliosHay: I tend to look at the below factors
1. Interest rate - If the interbank lending rate goes up..TB rates might follow suit
2. Inflation - In inflationary environments, investors are forced to reach for greater yield to compensate for diminished purchasing power in the future.
3. Crude Oil price - If price declines, the government has less FX income and so it has to source more money (than usual) for capital expenditure by issuing TB at a higher rate
There could be other factors to be aware of...these are the ones i know. I just keep an eye on them..how they move will help inform the direction of TB rates (up or down) I had to take a screenshot of this. in other words, forget t for now |

bendo75: Hello brother, I really appreciate you a lot. I did not know anything about NTB until I found this sub. Before then, I was just doing fixed deposit. Like I said earlier no need to reveal anything here but I want you to know that financially you have liberated so many folks with this sub myself included. That’s why I want us to keep your spirit alive here for our younger generation.
Again few years ago you mentioned crypto currency on this sub some of us dismissed you and called crypto a scam. You were not going to give up because you actually started a thread on Bitcoin. I followed you and started buying BTC, ETH and few other alts. I use Binance and Coinbase but I store them in hard wallets. I have seen the lows and the highs of crypto. I am a hodlor but when BTC or ETH pamps, I sell and put the gain into NTB.
Thank you again for spreading your knowledge and for empowering so many of us. In 2012 you had a vision to financially empower young Nigerians and I can say you have succeeded. English philosopher Francis Bacon said ‘Knowledge is power’. In appreciation and in your honor , I would like to make a small donation in ETH to a charity that you support. I would appreciate if send me your ETH addresss. God bless. Is anyone cutting onion at the moment? |

I'd like to channel about 1.5m into TB, probably this will make me more serious.
What is the best bank for TB for 180 tenor?
What should i look out for and also what to avoid?
Thanks Change your friends sir. I m sure none of them have up to 17 thousand naira. that's why 1.7 million is demotivating you. People make that in a month. Or you think serving means you are young? people make their first million before service sef. Better wake up |

popplm: Greetings to everyone, I have been following this thread and gained a lot from the experience of fellow nairalanders. I am planning to secure a tier 4 student Visa for the next year september 2020 admission and planning to move with my 4 dependants (3 sons of 3,7,10 years and my wife) but I don't want to travel at the same time with them them to sort accommodation and other stuff before they finally join after 2 months
My question: can I apply for their Visa at the same time with mine and if yes, can the Visa still be active 3 months after it's issued?
Thanks. I stand to be corrected but your tier 4 visa ll come with a proviso that you enter the uk within 1 month of issuance . You can extend it but it ll involve some letter writing. Why not do yours first and apply for theirs later? this is probably none of my business and I m sure you have considered the hell out of your decision but my living expenses as as a single, bus riding, doesnt eat a lot and non partying immigrant is 1k minimum. Have you got a plan for your monthly expenses |
