slimyem: i hate frying fish...
The oil gets to splatter on me when i do...
So i dodge that part of cooking most of the time..
I'd rather not eat fish at all than have to fry it...
What's yours??
I understand perfectly!
Especially on a hot day . . . Not only do you have to worry about the oil splashing on you, you also have to be careful not to stain the floor.
Well, now, I just use my deep fryer to fry fish most of the time.

Litmus: When a finding stated Nigerians were the happiest people in the world many doubted the finding and it upset many politically Minded Nigerians who are often in the habit of superimposing their own political agenda on everything. Such people worried naively that if such was the case Nigerians weren't going to fight for change.

The relevance of the finding to my mind to this post is to do with my observation on how Nigerians generally exists. For instance Nigerians don't look for the worst in others. You wont find a Nigerian with the type of mindset that would go to any nation in the world good or bad and secretly take negative photos in other to have a laugh. In fact Nigerians would generally hide the bad in other Nations and overrate the good. It is as if Nigerians are Glass-Half-Full people as opposed to Glass-Half-Empty people.

The important thing for Nigerians to bare in mind about this case is that the Yvonne Nelson character's intention is to cause the world to look negatively on the Nigerian Movie industry while conversely elevating the Ghana one. Engaging in lowbrow, market women arguments with Nairaland resident Mama-men Ghanians is to miss the point totally.

Might as well invite Yvonne Nelson to come and take more negative pictures, in fact send her some negative pictures, in the end, people like that and with that sneaky mindset always end badly.
Where gumption speaks, Ghanaians [ought to] hush! grin

Manny4life, could you ignore that Otumfour character and grant him the privilege of having a one-man show of shame? Thank you! smiley

naija2much: @seun and moderators, I believe either you guys don't work sundays or there're no rules on sundays or u enjoy the rubbish going on here. For someone to go to someone else's profile, pick a picture, post it with insults, really awful. This will certainly discourage people updating their profiles.

@petrodolla, u r disgusting!
Ogugua must be eating beans somewhere. grin
I'll recommend his ban immediately. cool

duni04: Was actually just trying to make a point, the point being that it would be ruthless and wicked to just 'move on' after someone just lost his life for you. Maybe I shouldn't have called implied you were a witch. However, you could have been more decent in your reply.
One should move on. . . . After how much amount of time is what I cannot tell you.

Your comment was taken in good humor hence my reply was accompanied by that unserious emoticon. . . I expected you to take mine in good humor too.

kobezex: so why should a sane guy risk his life for a girl?
You lot make too much noise over nothing.
Like someone sensibly pointed out on this thread, this could be something he had done time and time again. If he thought it was too risky I doubt he would have touched the tree with a ten-foot pole.

BTW, it just happened to be his girlfriend in this case. He could have been asked by a hungry child he saw on his way home, or by his friend, or by his sister, he could even have wanted it for himself . . .It just happened to be his girlfriend that asked for the favor.
No one asked him to die, let alone for them . . .Life happened.

Girls are simply not worth the stress at all except ur wife.
I'll not even dignify this with a befitting rebuttal or by arguing against it.
RomanceRe: Teacher Dies Plucking Pear For Girlfriend by MissyB3(f): 3:15pm On Aug 07, 2012
kobezex: In about 6months time u'll hear the girlfriend has married another man. The guy will be forgotten. I remember when I was in sch, a boy went to a river that flowed across our sch with his gf, her scarf fell into the river & like a super hero he dived to get it back & unfortunately drowned. After shedding tears that day, she started going out with another guy barely 2weeks later.
What do you expect? She should put her life on permanent hold because her boyfriend died being nice to her?
It's sad he died - yes, but there's no reason to deny yourself happiness forever, and I doubt the young man would want that for someone he cared about.
