nihelimitretep: A friend scheduled for 4th got there late, and according to him, he pleaded with them laying his reasons for late coming....las las, all they did was to collect his credentials and write his details for reimbursment. So he was invited, went for it and had apparently no interview section ( i guess he is better now, now on a Research Assistantship in UTM Malaysia) . We still chat, he has not been paid.
Again, if you were interviewed on the 3rd, you could probably notice a man, yes, a man, 28 years....in GT category...his age was used to disqualify him while his NPC was checked. Yeah his *NYSC cert date wasnt consistent with his age. I heard the story that he now collapsed. |

If payment has stopped trickling down, a necessary but insufficient condition for Tfare and APL to be related would be that there exists an arbitrary panel, P such that all the 6 candidates in P have been paid. Because (9000/6 =1500) is greater than 1300(speculated number to be recruited). I don't think anyone has suggested the existence of such a panel up till now.
To understand my point, look at it this way: if in all panels at least one person is not paid, and these are the ones that would be called. It would mean that 1/6 of the total candidate pool of 9000 which is 1500(greater than the speculated number(1300) of people to be recruited) will receive APL which is in opposition to wide spread speculation that 1300 or less candidates would be recruited. |

onandoc: First time posting on this thread, I've been following since when tp was disbursed to the first set of alartees, thereby seeing many theories. As a non alertee, the AB theory is something, I have welcomed and hoped to be true, which I'm sure is how other non-alertees must be feeling.
With regards sempumping's post. I interviewed July 9, We were 5 people slated to face the panel for 7am, we shud have been 6 but someone was absent. I made sure i got the contact details of everyone there, in summary, the first person that interviewed has been paid, the last person has been paid. They were both paid last week, I haven't been paid, someone else has also not been paid and we're in-between them on the list. So what is really happening?
Is there really no correlation between APL and TP? If there isn't, why go through this stress of paying everybody with this scattergun approach? because this method is actually more stressful and error prone than paying in an orderly manner. You guys didn't fill your account details the same time in block D, No? |

FFS what do you people gain from being wicked?!!!
After falsely raising our hopes with an aura of certainty that APL disbursement would be this week another person has come with similar aura of certainty that APL will be between first and second week of September.
What is the assurance that by September someone else won't come out with similar aura of certainty that it would be October?
Please if you have any info and you are not 100% sure about it keep it to yourself or if you feel the pressing need to share it with people biko take a bus to your village and share it with your village people. Rather than coming here to raise our hope falsely. Just abandon us in this state of being uninformed.
Thanks. |

darado: Accept or reject it, no any correlation between tp and APL. We had a meeting with nnpc today in our office (located in the south south). Authoratively, nothing relates tp and apl. I am currently in ss4 an due for promotion to ss3 by Dec 2019. As Jarus said, CBA has been on President Buhari's table for approval. To tell u more, three states have not met the required number of the slots and most if not all the candidates from those states were paid tp. U can continue to believe ur theories sha. Ok you were the guy that wore grey suit and red tie behind that fair man during the meeting shay? |

mosgoon: haha.. It's all part of a grand plan. A while ago, During my visit to Cambridge and MIT where I was invited, I had understood what I wanted and the ingredients necessary for it. For example Google and Microsoft's CEOs both worked a while before going to two of the best schools in the world respectively for their MBAs, Wharton (U of Pennsylvania) and Booth (U of Chicago)..which then landed them on a trajectory leading to their CEO roles now. Now that's just a few of examples. I know what I want already and I know the ingredients for it already. Very few early years at Shell/Exxon/chevron/NNPC(last option depending on advice) is part of the early ingredients. I have also discussed this at length with people at those top schools you mentioned so all is well.
Nigeria can also very much be a propulsion engine for great people. Nice one. Sha carry us along. Did you attend OAU? You can reply via pm. |

mosgoon: most companies don't care about CGPA exact figures, just class . Overall best.. Perhaps. Some care only for your transcripts to evaluate strong areas only. I finished with a 4.98 and I have never put it on my CV for job applications. I only include it on my academic CV which is strictly for School applications Damn! Dude why not just apply for a straight Phd or MS in a prestigious school like MIT and Stanford to boost your chances of getting the network of Venture capitalist to provide funds to scale your startup and leave NNPC and Nigerian jobs for mere mortals like us. I am sure you'll get funding that shouldn't be an issue. |

grandstar: Why isn't she serious? Have ever bothered whether there's an underlying problem?
She might have a learning disability. Or may just be a slow learner. That's how some people are wired.
What you need is patience.
I was an average student in secondary school but finished with 5 a's and 2 C's in both WAEC and GCE.
Keep trying this and that. Let her learn a trade while she's at home until she gains admission. She can even start a business and be making good cash. You'd be surprised she may shine.
And most importantly, love her unconditionally despite her shortcomings. That's the greatest thing you can do for her, the very best thing you can do for her! You call finishing with 5As and 2Cs being an average student. hahaha |

petux: I had to bring this here maybe I could get some helpful advice here as I am really clueless about what to do about her.
My younger sister is too dull. She is not smart and brilliant at all. She doesn't love studying at all. She is doing so poor in school due to her lackadaisical attitude towards studying. I have tried to talk her and advice her into studying, but she will just looking through it as if she doesn't know what she is reading and all.
During the time she was doing WAEC and NECO, you won't even know she was writting exam. My mum bought textbooks for her but she will end up misplacing them since she won't read them. What she enjoy doing most is just to eat, sleep and all these children story books. She is now fat like Bleep.
I always try to make her study or sometime even force her but there is little I can do for her as I can't put all the book in her head and I am not even always around because I'm in school.
I helped her check her waec result yesterday, and what I saw made me sad. She failed 6 subjects and passed only 3 subjects which she even had only C5 and C6.
I don't know what do to about her because I am tired. I don't want her to gain admission into the university with this kind of spirit because it's not going to help her at all. What can I do for her? How can I help her become more serious and become a better girl. She is 17.
Useful Advices will be highly appreciated. Mods, please do the needful.
Thanks I sympathize with you on your predicament and I commend you for being actively interested in the academic improvement of your sister. If many Nigerians had siblings like you while growing up they would likely have gone farther in life. First and foremost, what kind of school does she attend? A low budget private school or a state government school? If it is a standard private school in which the academic performances of her peers there are way beyond hers then there is a serious problem on ground. Also, what kind of friends does she keep? If the school she attends is not good then I will suggest that you enroll her in the best tutorial center in that area and try to be in touch with the kind of friends she keeps there. Encourage them to carry each other along and try to also inquire about their performances. Another suggestion I will make is that you and your mom should make her understand the importance of being serious with life at a young age. You can also try out some punitive/reward measures in other to force her to study whether or not she feels like it. I have a friend that had F9 in English about 10 years ago. After attending one of the best tutorials in our area and with determination, he had A1 in that same English the following year. Above all don't give up on her. |

Ibrahim099: On the flip side, u didn't figured out properly that in 2017,both the online assessment test and the ODVI were sent out at the same time. I believe people there might ve bn in doubt about few people who claimed to be successful about the outcome of both rather. Meanwhile, I mean to say that the case of 2017 and current 2019 are two different things so far. And of course, the best thing to do as u ve rightly mentioned is not to invest all hope in shell. Yes exactly. I wonder why it is hard for some to understand this. |
