What if each panel were required to upload their result to the database at the end of each interview dates. The database could have been programmed to bring up the numbers they need as early as the last day of interview.

to find someone randomly on linkedln, you have to know some little core details like school, year of graduation, core work experiences, and levels. I know a lot of top guns who i tried finding on linkedIn first to connect but couldn't find them accurately..had to connect with them at conferences and the likes. But you are right, linkedin is a good starting point but lots dont update stuff

Lool. I've been puzzling too. Plus I don't think you have a linkedin presence if not I would have figured out since. Except you don't just put your achievements on linkedin. I only know very few young Nigerians (and that schooled in Nigeria for that matter) that are so versed in expertise and are extremely successful in recruitment processes.

Haha, Victor cheng.. I jacked his videos ehn, before my interview. By the way, he has a tutorial recording for case studies for McKinsey and Bain and the likes called LOMS (look over my shoulder) which is very good for McKinsey interviews.. But it's very expensive. I have them though and can send to anyone interested for free. Just send a pm for that strictly.

Assin ehn, I even know a guy that got into MIT from Nigeria and didn't get into McKinsey, though he got to the last stage, a crazy scenario played out. McKinsey can be crazy. A 2-2 guy in my set got in whereas people on 4.9 didn't get in

hmmn, you are right sir Jarus. McKinsey.. For those interested in oil and gas and consulting with the bulk of the interest in consulting should try out McKinsey. Very competitive. That their PST, PEI.. Very tough. Their Partners are very cool people though from my chats with them after my last stage partner interviews.

The only problem with them if someone here is comparing with NNPC, is that they would suck the life out of you lol.. Meaning it's a very stressful, high pressure environment.. And while they pay very well in Nigeria for entry level - also called business analysts (albeit less than BCG, Bain in Nigeria alone when compared within the big 3), they still pay less than NNPC for entry level and NNPC should be far less stressful lol. But the international recognition you would get is up there as they are among the top management consulting firms in the world along side BCG, Bain.. Then the other tier follows.. The strategy&, Booz.. Etc

Once again if you like oil companies but love management and consulting more, McKinsey is up there referring places to begin a career

At non-managerial level, NNPC is not among the Top 15 highest paying oil companies in Nigeria.

Let me give an example: Have you heard of Eland Oil (https://www.elandoilandgas.com/) before? Likely no.

They pay more than NNPC for similar role.

There are many oil companies out there that only industry insiders know of.

Nope, schooled in Nigeria fully. 5 years at one of the top federal schools (think Unilag, UI, OAU, Uniben)...my projects came after I pitched an idea at a popular ideahub competition, one of the well connected guys in the competition who was very impressed then linked me with top people at those top schools (think MIT, Stanford, Caltech, Harvard) and they were also impressed at it spiralled from there.

lol, Nigerians . If you are referring to the guy who already has chevron and Exxon offers.. He is not lying. He contacted me earlier in the thread to ask for NNPC salary and I got to know more about him through our conversation.. Very smart guy.. Has amazing projects with some IOCs and with some of the best institutions in the world. Besides, it's rare for someone to lie about achievements here and with smart compositions lol. He is genuine oh. NNPC is 150% secured for him except they don't know what they are doing

definitely! Civil engineers work on lots of facilities in O&G companies.. Especially refineries and structuring. They also support process, piping and mechanical structures.

Now that the interview stage is over, I deem it fit to thank and commend the efforts of @DmainMan, @Jarus, @Xfire and other senior nairalanders that have achieved career success for counting it worthy to give back to the community by way of helping us with essential information throughout the course of the process.

When you go on LinkedIn, you will see numerous Nigerians that have achieved career success working in various places like NNPC, Shell, Chevron, Mobil and the likes without any contribution in lifting others yet these few singled out themselves despite their busy schedules to help people still hustling for career success.

It is my desire that you all achieve greater success because of this and continue to contribute to the development of the country. I also want to wish everyone that has participated in the recruitment process great success in the nearest future.

20 Candidates x 39 Panels x 9 Days = 20 x 39 x 9 =7,020 candidates. Well plus EH the total could go up to 9000+
