FamilyRe: Ffk's Family Disowns His Three Children With Ex Wife Yemisi Wada by MMotimo: 4:09am On Aug 09, 2015
I can't help but rejoice with his exwife, she no longer has to deal with him. A loud, talkative man is bad enough but a loud, talkative, Yoruba man? That takes the cake. . . . . . and yes, I am Yoruba.
FamilyRe: Why Most Young Working Class Nigerian Bachelors Are Broke by MMotimo: 1:18am On Jul 31, 2015
For most, I suspect it's simply poor pay which can be tracked down to a whole bunch of different issues.
FamilyRe: ..... by MMotimo: 1:15am On Jul 31, 2015
@Post

Very disturbing. Someone needs to be paying closer attention to that girl - her friends, her interests, the way she spends her time, etc. There are negative influences at work here.

FamilyRe: What Will You Do If You Were The One? by MMotimo: 9:02pm On Jul 04, 2015
Gbemillionaire:
Now a colleague of mine shared this with me in the office today:
My colleague and her husband went to a function with her sister inlaw. The sister inlaw took them in her car.On their way to the fuction , my colleague's husband and her sister inlaw had a heated argument(maybe a lingering family issue). Surprisingly, she left the function in her car without informing my colleague or her husband when they were actually suppose to come back together. Now my colleague was really boiling at the office today. My question is what would you do if u were in her shoes?
I would work hard towards making sure we have our own car.
FamilyRe: Ladies, What Do You Understand By The Term "Submission"? by MMotimo:
Submission?

I have been married a long time and the last time I heard that term in relation to my person was the bible verse I read at my wedding ceremony. Frankly, I have never given it deep any thought

FamilyRe: Nigerian Ladies And 'taking Out Syndrome' by MMotimo:
Girls that trade their bodies are not looking for strolling partners, they are trading with men that can show them the good life, even though the definition is relative. If it was just a strolling companion, they would not have to sell themselves.
FamilyRe: At 28 His Anty Scolded Him For Hosting His Girlfriend In His Room. by MMotimo: 9:15pm On Jun 22, 2015
oyin01:
He stays with his anty. He said last week, His girlfriendcame for a visit and spent two nights with him despite the fact that he occupies a room at the boys quaters behind the house, his anty called him aside after she left and exrssed her unhappiness. Friends, what other candid advise can i give him. I think the first mistake he made was not getting his own room.
The Aunty was very kind to stop at scolding

boss1310:
that your aunt is modern day aunt sef.when i waz still under my family the girl won't sleep there and one of her shoes must be missing when she is thrown out
I didn't see this before. You spoke my mind except that the "throw out" would be both lover boy and lover girl

WORD.... I am not that old though smiley
Neither am I but it seems like stuff like that happened in ancient times. Now, too many depend on their lovers to show them the good life. Very unfortunate
FamilyRe: Nigerian Ladies And 'taking Out Syndrome' by MMotimo: 7:26am On Jun 19, 2015
Charity begins at home
If you have money, start with taking out your sisters and relatives to these places before you consider stray women
With all the money supposedly flowing, you'd think fathers, brothers, uncles, etc would do more for their female relatives who can't afford such treats
In the old days, your Dad and male relatives gave you such treats, it was not payment for sexual favors from randy men
When you raise girls that are shown the good life by their parents/relatives, they are less likely to give it all up for a plate of fried rice

The question is why is the pic being circulated? Borderline disposition to pedophilia or what undecided
What interests a sane person/adult in images depicting child sexual activity?
Please, stop spreading such images, they don't promote anything that's positive
In certain climes, you could be questioned by law enforcement for circulating such images
Utterly disgusting!

Pls want to know your take on this: Hubby insisted dat we should password our fones and not tell eachother d password so we can have some privacy so for like 2yrs or so its been like dat but a Pastor friend of mine insisted dat its a sin...... ......tho me am indifferent.
It is what husband and wife agree for it to be.
Your "rules of engagement" "contract" determine whether it's right or wrong. Sounds like you're breaking an agreement you entered into two years ago. In which case, you have to convince the other party (your husband) that the agreement needs to change. If he doesn't agree, well . . . . . .
FamilyRe: Was She Right To Have Defended Her Husband When His Mom Was Quarreling With Him? by MMotimo: 6:07pm On Jun 10, 2015
sweetorgasm:
There is a chaos going on now in a family whereby a man's mom is not in talking terms with her son's wife because she defended the son when the mother and the son were quarelling about something. "now half of the family said the wife did nothing wrong while the other said the wife should not have intervened. "so did the wife did wrong by supporting the husband?

instead of her to settle the issh between husband and wife she's taking sides. No wonder the elders say age doesn't depict wisdom. When a supposed grandma. An elder woman for that matter is behaving like an inexperienced woman.

1 You completely misread/misunderstood the story
2 Attacking someone's MIL or mother is inappropriate, to put it delicately. As for calling her names, that's all kinds of wrong

@OP

The story is not complete - what did MIL, son and DIL say exactly? What was the argument about? You can't judge without those details. Important to ask the questions before rushing to judgement

That is the question you need to answer

RomanceRe: After Introduction, Whose Responsibility Is It To Pay A Girl's School Fee? by MMotimo: 5:13am On May 30, 2015
@ Topic

The person paying it before!
High time girls stop selling themselves cheap
A guy you have not married takes over your family's responsibility, then you still go ahead to demand a huge wedding when you have no job and not a single kobo to contribute to anything for the wedding.
And then you're surprised when his family members have no regard for you, afterall they know the story of how you were sold by your family to their brother
FamilyRe: 8 Common Ways We Marry The Wrong Person by MMotimo: 4:33am On May 14, 2015
#9 - Not having a vision of the person you want

When you have no standards, it's easy to setup with just anyone and have regrets
Nothing wrong with having standards
You can decide to willingly and consciously lower them but start from somewhere, don't just settle
Everyone should have minimum reasonable standards
