the way I see it amigo, as foreigners in foreign land, people put more effort to work. I have actually seen some foreigners in Nigeria who says Nigerians are lazy as they want easy way out. same thing is applied to when Nigerians are in other countries, they say the host country people are lazy..

the way I see it, we are all lazy and at the same time nobody is lazy. it depends on where we find ourselves to which we have to stand to put effort into what we do ..
I take your point but having done business in Africa it's clear to me that Nigerians will focus on the bottom-line more so than others which makes it easier to sell big and do meaningful business. That is not the case elsewhere on the continent.

Nigerian selfishness (and avarice) has negative manifestations that we are all more than familiar with but when it comes to business it's a major boon.

Compared to Nigerians they are.

Even Ghanaians it's the same, if you want business to get done when you want it done in Africa then Nigerians are your best bet. They seem to hustle harder than anyone else.

Maybe the Congolese come close.

Addicted2Women:

Oil is a bad investment

It doesn't matter what country you invested in

He didn't lose the money, the money is there but it will take time to get his investments back

The Nigerian oil is the richest and the purest, that's why Nigeria is in competition with Iran the mass oil exporter, if you sell 1 barrel of oil for $50, Iran will sell 20 barrels for $20

Let him hang in there, he will get his money back in due time

Invest in stocks and real estate, you will never lose money
Stock markets crash all the time - telling people that they will never lose money in stocks is dishonest.

I hope he doesn't say he was misquoted by November. Anyway I don't get all this finger wagging the mister is doing. The agriculture sector suffered from lack of investment and bad policy like everything else. Oil doesn't doesn't cause people to stop farming if it did Texas would a big agricultural state in USA.

Anyway why did the dam get abandoned?
When we talk about people 'stopped farming', ask yourself who it is that we are talking about? Who is it that is always bragging about large arable lands and how they feed the nation (despite their grinding poverty and malnutrition) and you will immediately understand what the problem is.

You are as bad as IPOB.

Did you consult the people of Benin and Warri to ask if they wish to be part of your Yoruba Republic?

Why would they have fought so hard for their own state all those years ago just so that they can be lumped in again with the Yorubas?

No one wants to be associated with the north.
That's why I wish the hard working Igbo people would focus on building stronger ties with other southern and middle belt groups so that we can get rid of the most useless creatures of them all - those in the core north.

Imagine no Buhari; no Abacha; no defense of child rape under the guise of 'marriage'; no Boko Haram.

MISSCONGENIALITY:
in Nigeria everything dey mix o.
A country where a doctor tilurns out a minister of works and a lawyer a minister of power. Most of our politicians don't know what politics is.
Even Plato as aft back as 300bc knew that a state alike only function probably if people practice what they are trained to do. You should not be a mechanic when you were trained to be a carpenter. A teacher should not do the work of a soldier. Those that rule the state should be philosopher kings( most educated and intelligent with sound reasoning and judgment) and not like Nigeria where the best a pushed to the corner while the worst are forced to rule the people for some selfish reason.
However, religion and politics can mix for a greater good. It depends on the motive of the person s involved.
How are the worst 'forced to rule'? Is it not the cowardice of those who know better who allow it to happen?

Will you shut up. Stop talking nonsense. Many seminarians and priests sympathize with IPOB and Biafra. Even some Bishops too. The Nigerian state has failed us and there is no going back.

For how long will you people celebrate bad leaders and legislooters who are protected by the criminal Nigerian state?

Name One Sector in Nigeria you are proud of?

For how long will you people celebrate 2 hours of unstable low current as electricity?

For how long will you people celebrate bad roads?

For how long will you people celebrate scarcity of food and water?

For how long will you people celebrate insecurity and extra judicial killings by security agencies supported by despotic and ethnically bigoted governments?

With the current structure of Nigeria, do you think we can get it right in the next 1000 years?

When will Enough be Enough?

N.B For those quoting me, I am not going to respond. I will simply tell all of you that in the New Biafra, all these bad politicians you mentioned won't be relevant. Quote me anywhere. Thats why no election was declared in the whole of Biafraland.

Kedu mgbe unu ga ama Ihe? (When will you people have common sense?)

Biafra is our last hope. If we stop agitating for Biafra and drop the dream, what better option do you have for us? NOTHING! THE GOVERNMENT AND PAST LEADERS HAVE FAILED US.
I take your point but the bad roads is a state issue - some states have good roads (AKS for example).

While I am glad that people are expressing their anger with the way things are I wonder if the people are willing to continually hold the political leaders to constant scrutiny or whether Biafra will just become another Nigeria where politicians become deities.

lovelygurl:
Your point is undecided
The entire church spectacle is a fraud.

The reason people go to church is to see and be seen and to pay the pastor for being the master of ceremonies. They do not go with the intent of using their idle brains.

That is why church business is so profitable. You stand before hundreds of people, talk garbage and then pass the collection plate around three or four times and no one will challenge you because it's all a part of the charade.

Travel › Re: Is Travelling Out Of Nigeria Only Way To Escape The Harsh Economic Situation? by mmsen: 10:50am On Jul 09, 2017
MansaMoussa:
Either you subscribe to the notion that all poor people re lazy people or you lack knowledge on the conditions in Europe that favoured migration.
The conditions that lead to poverty are the same as elsewhere - there was a great deal of inequality which one would expect in societies that maintain monarchies.

Rather than hold their inconsiderate leadership to account they went to north America, Australasia or southern Africa to take another man's land. They wouldn't fight the people who made their lives hell in their own countries but would go to elsewhere to kill others. It is cowardice and laziness.

Migration is a fundamental part of Biology( yes, Even Animals migrate on their own to greener pastures-read the great wilderbeast migration) and it has nothing to do with laziness...Infact, only the Strong survive it...Ever wondered only Under-40s made it to Canaan under Joshua( and don't gimme that crap about the Rebellion in the Desert)
Yes, they were.

Even worse, they were murderers, thieves and robbers.

And if you believe in the nonsense written in the Bible then you are a fool. There were several literate groups in the Middle East at the time and none of them saw fit to record any of the nonsense written as fact in the book of Jewish fairytales.
