seguntijan: Giving them sense of dignity by marriage is far more better than raping them and worst still their daughter (smh4u) They're both disgusting and marrying a child so that you can feel better about raping her is no better than simply raping her without a certificate. That you cannot see that shows how warped your thinking is by your idiotic Arab dogma. |

Politics › Re: Some #istandwithbuhari Supporters Were Promised #1000 To Show Up - TVC by mmsen: 5:58pm On Feb 06, 2017 |
NgeneUkwenu: Buhari wasn't president when factories in Ikeja began browning off and selling their facilities to churches.
He wan't here when 80% of SME died away and the rest went on life support.
Buhari wasn't president when landlords were being watched charging rent in US dollars and stores were selling in hard currency.
Buhari wasn't president when wheat farming collapsed and Cote d'Ivore overtook us in Cocoa production.
Buhari didn't destroy Iwopin paper mill or ALSCON in Ikot-Abasi, a single factory that at a point brought in 30% equivalent of what we got from oil.
Buhari didn't take us from net exporter of oil palm products to lazy importers of the same.
Buhari didn't make us importers of petrol and diesel nor is he responsible for killing of the textile industry.
He didn't destroy our forest resources or ran down power stations like Egbin until only three out of twelve turbines work.
People shout policy but there is no policy that can transform a 'post-war' economic environment with the snap of the finger and government should just tell the people that this thing is what it is.
Government also has to water down expectations on oil prices ever rising above 55 dollars because it is just not possible in the age of Shale and renewables.
This nation is cornered and it has no choice than to reform it's lifestyles and go back to work.
It has to reform it's justice system such that it can jail it's thieves and reward those who do things right. We are refusing to allow hardship nudge us in the right direction but prefer to explain our woes as a personal failure of Buhari to draft policy from sheer air.
They were trampling people to death on job queues before he came on board.
Where are your farms to save you from food importation or your refineries to save you from seeking dollars to import fuel?
Where are your schools to educate your children without sending them to foreign universities when you can afford it?
He isn't two years in control yet and I believe he deserves a little more understanding given the gradients of the point where he took over.
Buhari met all these things that way, plus a devastating war that devoured the nation from a region and we have the choice of working with him to restore and rebuild the country or allow ourselves to get us into false sentiments, take advantage of us to return us to the years of the locust. Buhari knew all these things before he campaigned 4 times to become president. He was also part of the military elite that took Nigeria down this route so how are you able to absolve him of any responsibility? This is the same man who claimed that Abacha was not corrupt. The same man who claimed to attack Boko Haram, via emergency measures, would amount to an attack on the north. This is a man who kept making noise about his integrity yet consistently lied (and still lies) to the public about his health and his assets. Talks about integrity and his desire to 'stamp out corruption' whilst stood between Tinubu and Amaechi with the ghost of Abacha in the background. Nigeria can and will get better, it has done in the past 17 years despite the noise and lies made by people calling themselves 'APC', anyone claiming that Nigeria of 1998 was better than Nigeria in 2014 is a liar. And I choose 2014 instead of 2017 because that was the last time that Nigeria was managed with any sense of sanity. People make mistakes and progress is a process but Buhari is not, nor was he ever, likely to take Nigeria forward. He came to power because of the backlash as a result of GEJ being from the Niger Delta in the same way that Trump is now president of America because of Obama's ethnic background. Bigots and ignoramuses in two countries have colluded to destroy their own environments, both countries will suffer as a result. |

SouthernUnite: More of our revenue has been spent in the North than the South since independence and the southern region is responsible for 97% of our Revenue base in Nigeria.
Don't you wonder why the north came together and fought for 3% of Nigerias VAT, 99% of our VAT comes from the South and when Lagos asked for just 1% it was turned down.
Don't you wonder that when people of the Fulani extraction fought for their own local government in Jos, a land they were complete foreigners they were immediately rewarded with it but yet we keep fighting for restructuring and some parts seccession yet we can't address this in Nigeria.
Don't you wonder that Bauchi has stopped selling lands to Non indigenes because there are reports there is Oil there, they don't want non-northerners to own the land so as not to get the oil so there is a complete ban of sale, yet 95% of the Oil wells in the South South are owned by northerners.
Lets ask questions. Lets stop being fooled. we need to unite in the Southern Region, thats the only way we can correct things. We think we are smart by internet wars and insults, afonjas, flat heads ,NDAs etc thats what we call each other, the northerners rejoice at this, this is how they maintain power.
The funny thing is we are the educated ones, the master of industries, the skilled ones, the enlightened ones, the ones that bring the money used by the Nation , the ones who are exposed yet we can't be smart enough to see we need to collaborate.
Since 1960 only 3 southerners have ruled, and these are the times that had the highest recorded growth for the country. Lets be smart.
We need to be United Politically in the South. Its in our interest Some of those facts are questionable but your point about the periods in which Nigeria recorded economic growth is true. No more 'zoning' and no more feeding trough federalism. |

Some state governors spent billion to sponsored cannibal and nobody complaint because that is the priority of their state. Some lauder abroad billions given to them as bail to pay their workers, some are owners of big shopping malls in abuja. The payment of workers salary in kano is up to date, the state has two state university, thousands of students are in abroad under sponsorship of the state. This mass weeding is welcome development and the people of the state are OK with it.please ask your State governor about how he is running your state not kano.bigotry is a big from in nigeria Carnivals bring in tourists. Carnivals provide employment and business opportunities. Carnivals are good marketing for your state/city. Does Kano not have a Durbar? Who pays for that?
