This is why you shouldn't have impromptu markets everywhere.
Proper centers of retail such as malls and centralized markets are a necessity so that the authorities and the consumer can keep abreast of the vendors and the quality of their products. At least that way you can ensure that vendors are licensed and have something to lose by selling sub-standard goods. |

henrydadon: tell me and look me in the face that you went to school to become a saleboy, drivers and security guards..
where are they going to generate tax?..from shoprite?..
you think those politician wife that have shops in these malls actually pay tax and you think the average nigerian can afford the price of these luxurious products in mall?..
listen to your self go there for excursion ..you deresve to be slapped! Those people who purchase from the market will eventually have to embrace shopping in malls and from supermarkets - this is inevitable as the retail arena in Nigeria matures. Some market vendors will survive but most will not as they cannot compete with companies that are able to offer the economy of scale that exists with nationwide retail chains with well developed procurement and distribution chains. |

orjikuramo: Obviously, you haven't driven on it recently, its not fine, they've scrapped the tar off some sides in an un uniformed manner, n theres no sign indicating work is going on there. its very terrible driving there now If there is reduced traction on the road because of obvious roadworks then be smart and lower your speed. |
Travel › Re: Another Accident On 3rd Mainland Bridge Due To Construction Work by mmsen: 2:46pm On Jan 20, 2017 |
vislabraye: 3rd Mainland bridge is meant for speed. The road accident has nothing to do with speed but road construction. The slight bend on the Third Mainland Bridge isn't sufficient to cause a driver to lose control of the vehicle but a rational driver knows that if that begins to happen the smart thing to do is to kill your speed. |

Islam › Re: Security And Peaceful Coexistence In Nigeria - Kwara State by mmsen: 11:42am On Jan 20, 2017 |
Empiree: With due respect, this appears to be domestic issues. Hence, i see no reason to invite any foreign country(s). This should have been discussed behind closed doors within Nigeria Ulama. After considerable and successful outcome, then, they could invite Christian Ulama with muslims to resolve differences on the same table. But by bringing Saudis or any foreign muslim countries for that matter, Christians may think of "conspiracy to islamize Nigeria."
Or they may also invite foreign countries like Israel, EU or US to broker "peace" and "negotiations" within the county. In that case, I can guarantee that those foreign countries would only do what is in their best interest. Good-luck to them but keep us posted how this goes. The people involved are too simple minded to understand any of what you just wrote. They are anti-logic and anti-reason which is why they resort to murdering those who do not adhere to their 'faith'. Christianity offends me as much as Islam but at least they are not killing their neighbors for no reason. |

davodyguy: I disagree. The stadium meets international standards, as approved by world football governing body. If you do travel out of Nigeria, you'll realize what I'm saying.
I've been to Millwall stadium in London and stadium used by saint Pauli club in Germany. No too much difference Those are second tier clubs and neither stadium is used for international matches. Lagos should have a stadium that can host international football matches and 15,000 isn't big enough. |
