lammy197: SMH just state some good reasons why they should slash.. When a company ceases to be profitable you either cut staff, cut hours or your cut wages but you do not continue spending more on outlay than you have coming in. Paying public officials' high wages (as well as their many financially draining perks) is not a profitable endeavor for Nigeria. The civil service needs to be reduced in size and a more reasonable compensation package should be negotiated with those that stay. |

stagger: Make thunder fire your testicles. You have a petroleum minister whose only policy has been the most profligate spending ever known in this country, renting private jets for billions and unbridled kleptomania, and you say Nigerian workers should be the ones to pay the price for what this woman and her fellow PDP people have done to this country?
You and your generations should be hanged. Public sector workers includes ministers. The civil service is too bloated and those that are there are overpaid. There should be more incentive placed on the private sector and less on siphoning from the national treasury. |

Silly request.
If he is going to invest then he should invest in Nigerian football, first.
Let Nigerian football grow in the same way that the private sector has flourished as a result of Nigerian investment.
Abramovich invested in Chelsea because he needed someone to stash his illicit funds, Dangote is not a fugitive. |

If Lagos is serious about becoming a global city then it needs to do something about the people called " Omo Oni Iles".
Those people make it so difficult to develop land in Lagos and Lagos needs quality construction. At the moment land use in Lagos is very poor for city of 20 million. |

soopamom: Does aborting the baby undo the rape? How will it take care of the trauma ? please help me understand that. if you cant deal, the give the child up for adoption. i would gladly adopt a child irrespective of his/her background and i know several other people that would do the same. The truth as to the origins of the child will eventually come out. If it does not then the child will grow into a confused and incomplete adult. You might wish to take care of such a child but you seem unable to consider the mental welfare of the child. |

soopamom: are you comparing abortion to killing in self defence? the girl is free to choose whatever she wants, i'm just saying justifying it based on these circumstances is just...pfffft! what trauma are you talking about ? and how does killing an innocent babe in the womb compare to being accosted by murderers? The emotional trauma that comes with having a child by a rapist. We already know that most women struggle to raise children when the father of that child is no longer a part of the woman's life - how much worse must it be when the father is a rapist? What would that do to the self-esteem of the child? |

leonprince: so tell me wat is certain in any book you have read, ma bro we only read people opinions and make references and accept wat we believe in it. And that's wat make u a free thinker. The stories of the old testament could date as far back as the 10 century BC or the 18th century BC, that is a huge gulf. You cannot have such a broad base date. |

leonprince: no doubt abt that if you read other christain writings which I know u don't, there is something called pre-adamic time. Ma point is u can't just write 8000BC and xpect every reader to take it in, that why I used the bible as reference. Which other 'Christian writings'? The Bible should not be used as a reference point - the date and origins of the Bible is itself not certain. |

TheSonOfMark: Ikpa, Ibibio ke afo wed ado idogo Efuk. There are differences in their semantics and pronunciations. That would suggest that they are different dialects, not languages. The same is found in Hausa but there is one standardized form, likewise Igbo since the time of Zik. |

leonprince: was history documented at 3.2 million years or evidence of fossils from carbondating told u that? Give us the evidence efik people at 8000BC. Carbon dating is used to identify the age of a skeleton or item. That is how Lucy was dated. That is how the dinosaurs were dated. That is how we know that the Bible is wrong when it comes to the age of the earth - life has existed on earth for much longer than 6000 years. I do not know what they found of the Efiks to suggest that they were around from 8000 BC but there are cave paintings in parts of the world that are 30,000 years old. |

Where is the problem are try to say that if they read the Quran they will discover something bad ?
Don't Doubt you can do a test go to the nearst mosque
Any way you asking Muslim to read the whole Quran for me I read it many times I don't have any problem and I read it in arabic which it's my language So did you read the Quran or Even your own book? Which is my own book? I've read many books - focusing on a religious book concocted to keep people in ignorance is silly. Most people have better things to do than spend so much time dedicated to a religious text. |

AmINotHuman: Thank you. Seems like she's speaking from a moral high ground rather than actual documented research. So the developed countries that legalised medical abortion don't know what they're doing abi? Apparently it is better to have a high infant mortality/maternal mortality rate because of inadequate medical facilities than to terminate a fetus, save the life and resources of the mother and spare the world another hungry (and probably malnourished) baby. |

There are millions of women who contract cancer who have never had an abortion.
Where is their peer reviewed medical paper supporting their claim?
And why are some people deadset on pushing population growth at all costs? What benefit do you derive from living in an overpopulated place?

LightIndarkness: I don't understand what you mean typical muslim but I can do this I can bring 5 year old child from any muslim Mosque from any country and he will read the whole Quran from his mind with out single mistake.
And you bring 10 priest and let them read one bible from thier mind with no single mistake
You will loose for sure Why would I care what priests do? By typical I mean the overwhelming majority of Muslims. Those children might be able to recite but regurgitating is not the same as understanding. Also, I doubt that your typical 5 year old Muslim child would be able to recite the entire Qur'an without making a single mistake. |

They don't read either. You honestly believe that your typical muslim has read the Koran all the way through? |

soopamom: Abortion is either right or wrong, there is no such thing as "in this instance". Dont kill is dont kill, it's not okay to kill just because you were raped or because a child's father is boko haram or bla bla bla. Abi is it the pregnancy that is responsible for your rape? Is killing in self-defence wrong? Or would you lay down and allow yourself to murdered if some accosted you? If the young lady was raped and became pregnant as a result then of course the pregnancy is the cause. Why should the baby be dragged into such a scenario? Is the girl not free to protect herself from further long term trauma for both her and the unwanted/unplanned pregnancy? |

aim5: Yup especially the Efiks and Ijaws. You can see it in their liberal culture and abundance of English surnames. Those 'English' surnames came about because the English were too lazy to pronounce Efik names properly and also English was the language of trade - so 'Nsa' became Henshaw. |

So I like ur write up bt abeg change the date to the correct one. 'Lucy' is 3.2 million years old and the oldest known human. Homo sapiens are said to be 195,000 years old.
