brize:It's a question that needs asking. Is your god watching people self-service? Does he/she also observe abuse? rape? murder? Why does he not stop such acts if they are so destructive? |
brize:What a peculiar assumption to make. I ask a question so therefore I must be a 'Muslim'? |
Does your god sit there and watch as you self-service? Is a god a 'peeping tom'? A pervert? |
Ubenedictus:What you have admitted is that your god is unjust but you have issues accepting this point. |
babosky2008:Based on a review of seven previously published studies, Swedish researchers found the risk of pancreatic cancer was 19 percent higher among men and women who ate roughly 4 ounces of processed meat per day. That's about one link of sausage or four pieces of bacon. The study was published in the British Journal of Cancer. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/between-sausage-cancer-163053928--abc-news.html Now show me a link to show how fruit and vegetables cause an increase in cancer rates or health issues. |
bushdoc9919:Lol. You want to eat raw groundnut? |
Don't eat processed foods. I don't know why so many people in Nigeria waste their money on unhealthy processed foods with the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables that the country is blessed with. Groundnuts are cheap; bananas are cheap. Both are healthier than sausage rolls. |
This is a very sketchy story. Not to say that British immigration cannot be silly but this story is too vague. Why lie? Just answer honestly, at least if you are deported for telling the truth then you can say that you were mistreated. When you lie you give them a reason to be suspicious. |
alberto2k:You can use a fork like a rational person. Not everyone in a Chinese restaurant uses chopsticks. |
Social media has really shone a light on how misguided a lot of young women are. The fact that they are ones willingly exposing themselves makes it even more apparent that many of them lack any sense of decorum or decency. |
Religion is for foolish people who hate the responsibility that comes with thinking for oneself. |
kay1one2:It takes a nutcase to fight a nutcase. I guess. Still not a reason to elect him President. |
Zuria:Cars that run on hydrogen are possible so Dihydrogen monoxide is not completely impossible. This nonsense that Buhari is talking about is insane. I hope he goes the way of Yar'adua before the election - put a stop to the nonsense. |
It doesn't matter what he says - he won't fulfil a single promise if people are stupid enough to elect him. |
cbrass:Why did you edit my post? I mentioned Mrs Buhari as well. They are as bad as each other. |
When all else fails revert to petty tribal politics. This is why I will repeat that all of these old politic elements need to die, or at least step aside gracefully. They have already shown that they cannot be trusted, none of them have any credibility. Why don't any of these candidates present a plan of action instead of verbal attacks of no substance? And why do the media even listen to their wives? When was the last time either Mrs Buhari or Mrs Jonathan said ANYTHING intelligent? |
olabodejinad:You have missed the point. The point is personal responsibility. The point is that those crying about 'government' and their plight have often put themselves in an unenviable position by having children when they are not in a position to take care of them. The reason why the poverty rate has remained stagnant is not because of any government measures, it is because too many irresponsible people are having too many children - believe it or not the economy has actually grown but many will not feel the benefits because of their own appalling judgement. |
olabodejinad:When you say the 'common man' who are you talking about? The people in the villages with multiple children and no livelihood? Is that the fault of any government? |
Gogetta:Lol. She's not the only one you should be asking after. You could pick out 5 members at random from the PDP or the APC, at least 3 from each would be guilty of embezzlement or corruption. |
A court in Senegal has sentenced the son of former President Abdoulaye Wade to six years in prison for corruption. Karim Wade was also fined $230m (£150m) for illegal enrichment during his father's 12-year rule. He was chosen at the weekend as the presidential candidate of the main opposition party, the PDS. President Macky Sall warned last week that his government would not tolerate any attempt to destabilise Senegal after the court gave its verdict. Mr Sall defeated Abdoulaye Wade in fiercely contested elections in 2012. Karim Wade was accused of illegally amassing about $1.4bn and has been in detention since April 2013. Judge Henri Gregoire Diop said he had hidden away funds in offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands and Panama, Reuters news agency reports. "The facts before us constitute illicit enrichment by Karim Wade," the judge is quoted as saying. Opposition supporters inside the courtroom shouted in protest, denouncing the verdict as "shameful". Wade was a senior minister in his father's government, and was in charge of major infrastructure and energy projects. His large portfolio led to him being dubbed "the minister of the earth and the sky". His arrest came after the new government vowed to tackle corruption. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw3yRCu2_zk Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has said women must see men’s love proposal and decision to marry them as a “privilege” because without that, they will “rot” away with their beauty and intelligence. The charismatic spiritual icon has therefore admonished women to be grateful to men if they choose to marry them, rather than misbehave. “It’s a privilege to be married. It’s a privilege in the time we live in when it’s seven [women] to one man”, he told his congregation Sunday in Accra. “Sister when you get married, be thankful and stop misbehaving because it’s seven to one. It doesn’t matter how pretty and beautiful and intelligent you are; until a man proposes to you, you are going to stay beautiful, pretty, intelligent, nice and whatever, and rotten”. “That’s what it is, and somebody needs to tell you because there [are] so many women out there misbehaving. You got to be told the truth. And the reason why a lot of marriages are not working is because everybody is afraid to offend women to tell them: ‘Come on girl, you got a good thing going, hold fast onto it, don’t misbehave and don’t lose it’”. He said unlike men who can marry at virtually any age, women’s biological make up and physiology put them at a disadvantage as they grow older and, therefore, said women must appreciate it when men choose to marry them because the age pendulum tilts against them. “And somebody says: ‘How about the men?’ They got issues too but you see, the fact of the matter is that a man can be 100 years old and marry again if he ‘moves’. A man can be 100 years and marry if he can ‘drive’. But a woman just can’t get married at a particular age. [It] gets to a place [where] everything begins to melt and you can’t marry just because you want to marry”, the founder of the Christian Action Faith Ministries explained. “It is what it is, and sometimes we don’t want to hear the truth. We get offended when the truth is said, but I have come to a place [where] I tell people that I have lost my reputation a long time ago, and so it doesn’t really matter whether you like me or you don’t like me, and I don’t preach to impress people anymore. I stopped doing that a long time ago. I deliver what I’m told to deliver, and whether you receive it or not is none of my business; it’s your business”, he said. |
The sight of known ashewos in their shapely outfits. |
As if Igbos are the only people in Nigeria who think about money. |
egift:If what you say about Buhari wishing to streamline the government is true then I hope that he wins - the primary problem that Nigeria has is that different states are at different stages of development, the size of the Federal government makes it easier for some to be held back by others. Do you have links regarding Buhari's statement on the Federal government? |
cjrane:Because areas that are chaotic and disunited are fertile to be exploited for their resources. The British have never had good intentions towards Nigeria - their goal was and has always been to make money for their own. There is no reason why Nigeria should be shipping unrefined oil abroad and then importing refined petrol from elsewhere. |
Why is crap like this on the first page? Is this what keeps you entertained? If the health of a nation is to be measured by the intellect of its women is it any surprise that Nigeria is a mess? |
angelo5uk:If what you have said is true then try as he might he can't make himself like women, just as a heterosexual man cannot lust after another man. At best he is celibate - at worst, he is in denial. |
Really good post. Let's see if such a thoughtful and insightful post can make it onto the frontpage amongst all the nonsense. |
They handcuff those that they arrest in the UK - these guys are clearly being escorted for their own safety. |
Sadly most of the people dying as a result of the poor instruction that they received from Islamic clerics are not Arabs - in Afghanistan most of the Al-Qaeda fighters were from Pakistan, in the lands controlled by ISIL a sizeable percentage have come from outside of the Levante, many have gone from Europe. Bad ideas spread like a virus but I don't think that our African neighbours are in any great danger - the Arab speaking (Berber heritage) people in the north of the continent are currently dealing with Islamic induced violence as a result of their political instability, likewise Somalia (an issue that occasionally impacts Kenya) but I highly doubt that it will touch the majority of nations on the continent. We have to begin to understand that greed and ignorance is a recipe for inequality which always leads to insecurity. This insecurity is then exploited by those with nefarious aims. It can be avoided if we learn to treat your neighbours with respect which means ensuring that everyone is given the opportunity to live a fulfilling life - anything else stokes the embers of bitterness and hatred, sentiments on which religion thrives. |
oloriooko:What do you have against the truth? Is there actually a difference between a TV studio and a church? |
lomprico:Is there a difference? TV and church are both tools of stupefying the common man. |
