steppins:Did somebody seriously say that? |
holysaint1:You may or may not be one of the perpetrators but you are quite clearly one of their sympathizers. This is why I keep stressing 'mentality'. Your mentality is destructive. |
holysaint1:You have no clue how I live in private. The mentality that you have displayed in this thread is the primary problem that Nigeria faces. It is that mentality which is behind much of the self-destructive and self-defeating acts that many people have committed. They appear to have flipped the saying "don't shit where you eat" on its head. I will never understand why there are so many people like you with no regard for their own environment. It makes absolutely no sense to destroy infrastructure in your own locale. |
Dear Mods, Why do you not delete all these fake/unsubstantiated posts. If the OP wishes to make a joke then they should mark it as a joke in the title. Otherwise such stories should be deleted. I've seen at least three false stories in two days now. |
Toyota make the most reliable cars. Additionally any spare parts that you may need for a Toyota vehicle are easy to source and cheaper than most. |
The All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday began its final push to take the presidency from President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). A Northwest rally was held in Kaduna, the first public rally by the APC presidential candidate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, since the elections were postponed. The polls billed for February 14 and 28 were shifted by six weeks. They will now hold on March 28 and April 11. At the rally, Gen. Buhari vowed not to probe previous governments, if he is elected. The venue of the rally was changed at the last minute, as the Kaduna State Government prevented the APC from using the state-owned Murtala Square. The rally was shifted to the permanent site of the Kaduna International Trade and Investments Centre along Zaria road. However, the crowd at the centre created a heavy traffic along the ever-busy Kaduna/Kano highway as the candidate struggled through the heavy traffic to get to the venue. An official of the APC in the state and a member of the Media and publicity of the APC campaign, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, told The Nation when asked why they were refused the use of the Square, that “they said it is security reasons”. Buhari arrived the venue of the rally at about 4.30pm in an open coastal box, clad in a sky blue babariga accompanied by a large number of supporters who had to walk for about four kilometres to the venue of the rally. The Presidential candidate of the APC promised not to probe any past leader but will allow the judicial process to run its full course in all cases relating to corruption. According to Gen. Buhari, anyone who embezzles even a single kobo afterwards, will not only be made to refund it, but will face prosecution as from May 29, 2015 if he becomes president. He lamented the high level of corruption in the PDP-led administration. Gen. Buhari, a former Head of State, reminded the crowd that public treasury belongs to the entire citizen and it should be used to improve the wellbeing of the people by providing good health care delivery, improving the education sector and power among others. The presidential candidate urged APC members and stakeholders to vote for all the party’s candidates. He told them not to be deceived by the admonitions of PDP elements who are preaching selective voting in the different strands of the election. ‘’They have been in power for 16 years and yet they want us to hand them another four years. At the end of the four years that they are seeking for, they would have spent 20 years in power and we would have been so dehumanized that that we can’t even recognize each other,’’ Buhari pointed out. The APC candidate lamented that industries have collapsed and the few ones that are still operating are doing so at a huge cost owing to lack of electricity, adding that ‘’almost all small businesses have folded up.’’ Professor Yemi Osibanjo, Buhari’s running mate, also spoke in Hausa when he admonished APC supporters to vote the party’s candidates all the way. ‘’APC sak, APC sak, APC,sak’’, he said and the crowd chorused after him. Gen. Buhari and his entourage held a rally from Constitution road, through Independence way, before branching off to Ali Akilu way . The entourage inched its way slowly to Kawo, with Gen. Buhari and Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso waving supporters from the open roof of his Sports Utility Vehicle. Dignitaries that graced the occasion included National Chairman Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, North West Vice Chairman, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, Governor Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto state and Governor Abdul Azeez Yari of Zamfara state. Governorship candidates of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir El Rufai, Kebbi State Senator Atiku Bagudu, Kano State Dr Abdullahi Ganduje and Katsina State Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari were present. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/buhari-i-wont-probe-past-govts/ http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/buhari-will-not-probe-past-leaders-oyegun/ |
I wonder where she learnt such habits? He might want to check on his wife. Just saying. |
Kingspin:What does that even mean? I can't respond to what you said because it doesn't make sense. If I express myself in English it would make sense that any response that you wrote was also in English. Please. |
deskossy:If it's true post the proof. Otherwise this is irresponsible journalism. |
bushdoc9919:This is just like the other fake story yesterday that claimed Hausas were going around attacking Yorubas, in Yorubaland, because they were smoking weed and someone shone a torch on them. (This nonsense - https://www.nairaland.com/2190725/hausa-youths-attack-yoruba-osun) Completely ridiculous. The OP should post the list of the accepted candidates if the story is true. |
She's mentally troubled. |
cold:Xtians are unable to see how their superstitions feed into a culture whereby people such as Helen Ukpabio can thrive. |
Good news. No more boring, uninspired, over-aggressive Chelsea in the Champions League. |
I hope they find and sterilize the lady who dumped this baby. |
How does gay sex affect policy? or competency? If this is true then they really are clueless. |
There are some but they tend to be frequented by what I call 'meat-heads' i.e. guys who go to get 'big' and not necessarily healthy. I didn't observe any women in the gyms that I went to outside of the hotels. I imagine that a gym that catered exclusively to women could work very well in cosmopolitan cities like Abuja or Lagos. |
SambisaaForest:1. Okadas have been banned from most Nigerian cities for a while - hence why you see the keke. But in more progressive cities (Calabar, Uyo, Lagos and Abuja) kekes are banned from large parts of these cities. 2. The reason why I claim that this is most likely an image from a smaller nation is because such contraptions are not seen on Nigerian roads or at least I have never seen one. I have, however, seen three wheel trucks in Ghana. For the record you also see them in China so it's no insult to say that they ply the roads of some other West African nations, just a statement of fact. |
iwaeda:Few people with eyes claim that there is no progress but there are a lot of blind people on this forum who convince themselves that nothing good is happening in Nigeria. |
ogmask:Is it better than what it was? Yes. That is improvement. The fact is for a long time things were allowed to rot in Nigeria - I'm not sure what the military were doing but they did not appear to be concerned with ensuring that anything worked as they were meant to, all the while they accrued debts. Compared to what it was the improvements are welcome. I 'visit' airports in other countries, often. Not all of them are great or the world-class establishments that many people like to point to when comparing Nigerian airports. Most airports are functional and many airports abroad are decrepit. To constantly attack Nigerian airports suggests that your issue is not the airports but something deeper. The fact that you keep changing tact, from claiming the images are false to now stating that they do not match your exacting standards, suggests that you have ulterior problems. No one is claiming that these are the best airports in the world, simply that work has been done to improve them from what they are. Progress has been made. |
David0:It's called yellow journalism. Not particular to Nigeria at all. It's a weak ploy by those in power to divide and distract the common people, divert their attention away from real issues. |
Such much 'god' in all these names. |
I like how she wants to shift the blame unto the man. Did he force her legs open? |
SagePerv:Patricia Blackmon was 29 years old when she killed her 2-year-old adopted daughter in Dothan, AL in May 1999. Kenisha Berry at age 20, covered her 4-day-old son with duct tape resulting in his death. Debra Jean Milke was 25 when she killed her 4-year-old son in Arizona in 1989. Dora Luz Durenrostro killed her two daughters, age 4 and 9, and her son, age 8, when she was 34 years old in San Jacinto, California in 1994. Caro Socorro was 42 years old when she killed her three sons, ages 5, 8 and 11, in Santa Rosa Valley, California in 1999. Susan Eubanks murdered her four sons, ages 4, 6, 7 and 14, in San Marcos, California, in 1996 when she was 33. Caroline Young was 49 in Haywood, California when she killed her 4-year-old granddaughter and 6-year-old grandson. Robin Lee Row was 35 years old when she killed her husband, her 10-year-old son and her 8-year-old daughter in Boise, Idaho in 1992. Michelle Sue Tharp was 29 years old in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania when she killed her 7-year-old daughter. Frances Elaine Newton was 21 when she murdered her husband, 7-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter in Houston, Texas. Update: Frances Elaine Newton was executed on September 14, 2005. Darlie Lynn Routier was 26 in Rowlett, Texas when she was convicted of killing her 5-year-old son. Not a single 'African' on that list, just crazy people who should never have been allowed to have children. Please reserve your stupidity. These people needed psychiatric assistance - which they never received. |
Forwetinnah:A nasty shock awaits him. Europeans tend not to bathe as often (Americans are usually better in that regard) - he'll find out the hard way, sticking his face in places where it shouldn't be and coming up with a rash. |
holysaint1:There are better ways of getting things done than to vandalize the infrastructure meant to service your own community. If you are unhappy about being overcharged, then simply do not pay anymore (which I'm sure many of them do irregardless). To argue that because someone may have overcharged you, therefore you are going to vandalize something that services more than just yourself is short-sighted. If you are not willing to ensure that infrastructure is maintained/left unmolested why should anyone waste their time building it? Why would anyone invest in such a society when they know that there are so many people who think like you and behave like these criminals? I hope that you are not one of the people calling for 'change' because the truth is that change in Nigeria can only come when people like you are marginalized. |
