You are right. The pollution in lagos will not only harm the air, but it will also harm the environment in terms of crude waste disposal. I just hope that the government will be able to make laws that will enable better management of pollution in that state
Legislators can write any nonsense they like on a piece of paper. Will they enforce the law? Will the courts enforce the law?

Wait.. so people still fall for these scam tactics? damn!
They usually target older people.

It's the same in any country that you go to. Even the Yahoo boys in Naija target older people abroad.

All those years Buhari was contesting and losing elections, he actually had no plans or ideas of how to run government embarassed. He kept losing, we never knew that God was doing us a favour until we forcefully demanded for change. embarassed
Speak for yourself.

Many of us knew.

You think it's coincidence that the area that he comes from and the area that he was military governor of are now two of the most unstable regions in the whole world?

There is a problem with how some people think and process solutions.
Politics › Re: DISCOs Now Selling FG’s Free Meters, Consumers Allege by mmsen: 6:28am On Mar 21, 2021
tizteezy:
Unfortunately, most people don't understand that when when you buy a meter, within a year, you must have recovered your money via less bills you'll be paying as compared to estimated billing.

However, its a sad state of affairs in this country.

I equally BOUGHT mine.
Paid for it in August last year, but it still took me causing scenes at their office before they came to install the meter I paid for in December
You waited 4 months, I know people who waited over a year.

Not only are they thieves but incompetent.

I wonder why this govt finds it hard to do the needful
Why would they? When they people see them they are childishly jubilant and slavish. They do not speak with these political crooks frankly, they do not hold them to account, all they do is shower praises upon them so that the might get a 1000 naira.

Nigerians get what they asked for, they treat their elders like emperors and their elders abuse them as emperors typically do.

Nigerians are generally bad. Nepa is not doing the right thing by giving that man prepaid meter. But, I have witnessed severally where people with prepaid meters engage in bypass for those things that consume more electricity.
Yes, it happens. At the end of the day, people pay peanuts for electricity. Nepa has to train specialists who go from house to house to detect this.

People that do this most of the time are the so called big men in duplexes. And guess what the people who help them do that are mostly nepa staff.

It's rampant in Abuja. Politicians CEO, name them are culprits.

That's why I said we are skewed.
You're blaming the customers but I know of cases where the useless power company officials have come to bypass the meters themselves because their hardware is faulty. Then they start bringing absurd bills.

Yea!! People like you die for nothing, incase you don't know, there are paranoid schizos like me, you may think you are dangerous but there are people who are more dangerous than you. angry i am sure you have heard about people being kidnapped, stabbed, macheted or shot in Nigeria or maybe even near your area, who do you think does all those things? Yes! They are people more dangerous than you think you are.

How would you feel if someone tries to or attacks you in your place of business while trying to do your bizness? You obviously thinks it is okay to attack people while they are doing their jobs. Anyway, you would think so, i am not surprised. You live in Nigeria. cheesy a shithole!
They aren't doing any 'business', they are extorting people. They barely bring any light then bring a completely incomprehensible bill. Then when you ask them why them no fix or replace the meter they will ask you for money.

They are thieves.

They bring bill of 3k last month bring Bill of 11k this month, I come deh wonder wetin cos the increase. They just draft this unscrupulous bills as they like and present to people because they feel there is nothing we can do about it worst of it all they've deliberately made securing of prepaid meters an heculian task. most of their staffs are drunkards and highly unprofessional. well na small be that.
That's what I've been hearing, that they've been bringing nonsense bills.

And why are they bringing bills? Because they refuse to supply working meters.

All na scam.

I say more people should release their dogs on these crooks.

You cannot focus on "children's security", just as you cannot focus on "women's security". Security must be general. You must make the overall environment safe which starts with ensuring that you tackle the socio-economic causes of crime. Of course we know that in Nigeria there is no interest in doing so, especially in the north.

Our cultures and traditions are good.
I watch NHK japan everyday, they have many mentality similar to africans.
But they have very good country while we have very bad country here in nigeria.
This is the lie that Africans tell themselves to keep the nonsense going while forever crying about the net results.

The cultures are traditions are far from good and are nothing like Japanese culture.

The country that you say is 'very bad' is a reflection of the culture, the attitudes and the priorities of the people. In the same way that Nippon is a reflection of their people and attitudes.

And what similarities do Africans and Japanese have? Do the Japanese have multiply wives and more children than they can feed in 2021? Do the Japanese loot their government trough to enrich foreigners?

Mynd44 this should make frontpage not only northern propaganda.

Now tell me how this man would grow hungry, before the talked about mechanised farming arrives, if every southerner has a garden just in his house and do this, food would be surplus.

As an Edo Man, i have yam/plantain in my garden, i have cassava for garri when i want

Paw paw/pumpkin/vegetables are in my garden

I only eat my local rice (Ekpoma rice) Edo has enough corn, palm oil, coconut, banana within town

Ogbolo, egusi, okro, banga are all in my town

I rare my chickens in addition to the fish and turkey for meat
The fruit and vegetation is relatively easy but keeping poultry alive in this climate can be challenging. Any tips?
