it would be a very foolish move considering Obaseki's current issue with Wike as it would foreclose any chance of Obaseki decamping back to APC

Mumu, Obaseki until last election was in APC and decamped 2 months to Edo election after falling out at the screening committee of APC.

He decamped to PDP before the election and so the challenge is not whether he contested under PDP but his first tenure which he won under APC was still running as at the time he decamped.
