BRATISLAVA: Your logic is faulty.
You know quite well what you were implying with your post, that posting it would make him remorseless .
Good news is, even men who weren't posted online are still remorseless. So if you have an issue with them recording it, that is your sentiment. Not because it would make the difference you claim it will by making him remorseless.
Make of it what male logic you will. I know what I was implying. heck, I stated it directly "posting it would make him remorseless" and it is exactly what you think i am implying. However, you are still making the same logical mistake I pointed out earlier. It is quite common, so I do not blame you. |

BRATISLAVA: Oh please. There are a lot of men who were never posted online who are still remorseless. you understand that the premise that "posting him online will make him remorseless" does not imply that "not posting him online will make him remorseful" right? it is a common logical mistake to confuse implication with equivalence A => B does not follow that A' => B' but can only follow that B' => A' your counter argument (B' => A) should have been "there are lot of men who were remorseful even after being posted online"[/quote] |

Kobojunkie: I didn't offer up an "interpretation" since what I said is as written in scripture - as-is. All that is required to understand/grasp what is written is basic human language comprehension which most any speaker of the language can boast of. Your special interpretation powers, however, it seems only your Churchians have them. written texts including biblical text are subject to interpretation as 0% ambiguity is rare. |

Kobojunkie: Other than a point of view, this is the Truth of God as stated by Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago. So, do you believe in Jesus Christ or is the Catholic church instead your god of choice? "I understand your point of view" meant I understand your interpretation of the verses you mentioned |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Heaven Made For Christians Only? by monex(m): 6:14pm On Sep 12, 2022 |
Kobojunkie: Jesus Christ's position however is that only those who are born-again can obtain grace(eternal life) which they can then spend in either of Eternal Damnation (Hell) or Eternal Reward(Truth). So I hope you can see how utterly foolish this Catholic stance you posted truly are when put up against the very teachings of Jesus Christ, the King and Law in the Kingdom of God - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46 I understand your point of view |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Heaven Made For Christians Only? by monex(m): 8:30am On Sep 12, 2022 |
The Church (Catholic Church) teachings on the subject can be summarised below: The only way to heaven is by the grace of God and that grace comes through Christ and His Church irrespective of the person's religion. another answer from catholic.com "Those who were not in full communion with the Catholic Church in this world, if they died in God’s grace, surely go to heaven after the purifications of purgatory. They may experience less help from the living while they are being purified, because they may have belonged to communities that do not pray for the departed; but as to their destiny, they are the same as those who were Catholics in this world. In fact, no one is a “non-Catholic” in the world to come, because everyone recognizes the truth of the Catholic Faith" https://www.catholic.com/qa/do-non-catholic-christians-go-to-heaven |

Kokaine: Yes but still read what i wrote. Don't add a brain twister to this simple thing.
Disbelieving or stating your belief is not what we are talking about. Its your belief. Insulting revered personalities is the case under our microscope here. Trying to expand the compass to disbelief is not necessary because it has and may never be a problem. I have never heard that any fight broke out in kano or kaduna because a Christian said jesus is lord or anything of it.
The problem has always been desecration of things other people hold in high esteem. Don't be deceived it will happen anywhere. People will react in america if their heroes are disrespected. The degree of reaction will only vary with the level of poverty and general position of the law in that country with respect to non state elements wielding the powers to take decisions meant for designated state elements. Its still the case with stealing in lagos market. Its wrong to kill the thieves in the eyes of Nigerian laws, but the people who do it will not agree with you or your views. Reactions vary everywhere. From ignoring the person, to silently hating him/her to open violent attack. And everyone will find justification for whatever course of action he takes. But then, the person is dead.
Please read this statement carefully before you respond so you do not automatically infer that anyone is defending a lawless state. The underlined cores here are; in a place where the justice system is moribund, what do you do in your own little effort to forestall a suburban meltdown of peace? Since you know the markets and streets are filled with druggies who actually have nothing to loose if a fight broke out? Simply avoid doing things that stir these reactions especially when avoiding them do not threaten your existence in any way, or infringe on your right .
I do not have Christian friends who insult me or my religion. They were raised up properly. Neither do i attack people who do these things. And so can be said by millions of people in the north. But this does not rule out the fact that it happens. It doesn't rule out the fact that there are people who will deliberately insult others or pull strings they know are capable of inciting a civil unrest in all regions, neither does it out rule the fact that there are those who are ready to kill for it. They can kill ordinarily in a fight for 100naira change. So their ability or readiness to kill is not constrained to the cause its self, but a function of who they already are /were before the event. I will do what is necessary to avoid evil coming my way. However, in event that someone else failed to do what was necessary to avoid the evil coming their way, I wont deliberately confuse the victim for the evil doer. |

Kokaine: There is no gain in testing the secularity of Nigeria or the lack of it. Since you already know its not taken lightly in the north. Simply abstain. Every place has its own norms and what is held in high esteem. Lets learn to live and let live. Avoiding blasphemy will not take food away from your table. Why indulge? Religion by itself necessitates Blasphemy as your truth is not my truth and thus might be considered blasphemous. Denying the divinity of Jesus is considered blasphemous in Christianity. The guy is a Tijaniyyah which has some doctrinal differences with mainstream Sufism or Wahhabism hence the chances of blasphemy increase An Ahmadiyya would consider the Prophet Muhammed to not be the last of the prophets. Most other Islamic sects would consider that to be blasphemous. A Christian would not even consider Prophet Mohammed to be a prophet. Capital punishment for blasphemy has no place in a modern society |

We Christians and Muslims should understand that Nigeria do not revolve around our both faiths. There is nothing bad in having a Muslim/Muslim ticket if we truly care about the development of our country.
